I have been portioning my food since I started Spark... habits from being on WW. Revving up the cardio is going to be a challenge, but I am determined to do it, even if I have to run up and down the stairs in my 3 story condo.

I moved to level 2 earlier this week and have been doing pretty good...some days are better than others...i get in a 30 min work out almost every day...and I am getting at least 6 cups of water most days...calorie intake is going pretty well...(im saving a TON of money not eating out anymore!!) I've dropped 5.5lbs since starting on here...my mini-goal is to drop another 9.5 (to get to 170lbs) by Pointfest on the 18th...when my Cowboy will be back in town :) and my reward will be a new tattoo!

I just moved to level 2 today. I seem to be doing ok tracking foods and amazingly staying within my calories. I did learn, though, that I wasn't getting enough protein. This is the first time I realized that! I think now I really need to try to work on exercising more.

OMMAMMA,
I have to be honest, I lost 12 of those pounds before I ever heard of SP! I have been working on my eating habits since January. I know SP will make it easier!

I'm in level two and still doing OK. Measuring food is a good idea for helping you get familiar with the right size portions. Taking the time at home will help you will help when eating out as you get visually used to the right amounts. That said, I have been doing good at home with the diet and exercise but really get to put these skills to work the next 2 weeks. Nonstop events week one plus a trip for some graduations on week 2. Lots of food and festivities will be a real challenge to the diet and execise routine. I was just feeling like I had some good momentum going so hope this doesn't set it back too much. Wish me luck!

Hang in there everyone - we're a team and we can do it!!!

Hello everyone, I too am moving on to level two. Reading these posts is proof positive that level 1 did its job of getting us use to using the tools, but more importantly for me, giving a clear visual of how we are eating and moving. The ability to see in black and white that on most days I lack protein; that my eating patterns for the most part are healthy, but higher in calories than I would have guessed. Knowledge is power! I can see now where I can make changes, where I can improve.
I have really enjoyed the strength training, I love the feel of being stronger in my body, my posture changes as does my attitude about continuing with it. I try to do it wholeheartedly, giving myself my own undivided attention, really feeling the work I am doing. For cardio, most days I get on my rebounder, I love it, its easy on the joints, great for the lymphs, and its fun. Would be nice if it was included in the list of activities.
Twinmom....thank you for the words of encouragement that you shared,
Rose....you lost 13#, that's HUGE!!! (no pun intended!)
Have a good one, hope everyone stays on track today.

I'm not to level two just yet but will be on Saturday, although I know I'm ready for "level 2".

I haven't been getting in as much cardio as I should but I've been doing Interval training that incorporates movement (functional since it strengthens your body based on body weight and strength building exercises), resistance bands, and a balance ball for about an hour a day with 1 day of rest.

I started with getting maybe 9 cups of water a day and am now up to 12-14! It's been so easy to keep increasing that number because my body wants more all the time, my food and calorie counting is going very well. I'm usually at the low end of my range or just under it and I'm tracking fiber and sodium too!

Level 2 I am going to work on cutting out more fat because now that I log everything I notice how much I actually take in. I'm also going to get to 8 glasses of water everyday. By end of level 2 i'm hoping my back will be up for stregth training. I have been doing something cardio everyday since I started.

I'm working on being a success story!

I am doing pretty well on most days. I do tend to fall off on some days though. I am doing cardio only. No strength training at this time. I am going to add that in on about week 10 cause I have a wellness coach who wanted me to wait till then!

I just started level 2, but I have to admit it is hard to measure everything I eat, especially when I have a business lunch at a restaurant! Luckily that is only once or twice a week and I have stuck to ordering salads. I don't always end up with enough time to get my daily exercise either, but I sure am trying hard! Eventually that scale will move!

I have started level 2 today, but I am not really keeping up with logging in my nutrition and fitness. I did quit drinking soda and am actually starting a cardio kickboxing class tomorrow. I've never done that type of fitness before. So I hope I don't get too worn out. I am excited though. I can't wait to see my end results. Along with not drinking soda, I am eating healthy, along with my family. I just want to say, that when it seems tough and there are no pounds lost, don't give up. Keep going because it could be just inches being lost or muscle being gained. If you truly want this, anything is possible.

I just entered Level 2 today. I'm excited that I have stuck with SP, logging in almost every day and tracking everything because I've not been able to do that before.

I'm staying on track with my workouts but I'm doing a very bad job of tracking calories. I was just thinking that I hope that changes with this new level. I haven't gained any weight but what I am losing is coming off very slowly.

I'm rooting for everyone to finish Level 2 successfully and happily!

I'm bumping to Level II tomorrow. I have no problem with cardio, strength training, or water intake. I am trying to work on the whole caloric intake, et al. I don't always remember to track my dinner. I finally figured out how to add foods not on the list & add to my favorites, so that helps. Usually, I end up on the low end for calories, and I seem to have stalled in weight loss. From some of the other sites, looks like I might need to up my protein & see if that helps. Good luck on our continuing journey, everyone! Christine

I had bumped up to level 2 last week because I had started with a weight loss Bible study for about 2 weeks that used the same principals as here so I was already comfortable with all that level 1 taught. I am doing okay overall with the calorie range - had a few rough days but am back on track. The exercise is coming around. I get more cardio than strength training right now but that is my next step.

I got bumped to level II yesterday. I think I'm doing pretty good. I've managed to lose 6 lbs. I lost 1" on my hips but gained 1/2" on my waist. Not sure how that happened. I've managed to stay within my daily recommended cal, carbs, fats and proteins after the 1st 3 or so days. It took some juggling. I've been walking...not as much as I should. I just can't seem to get my strength training in though. Keep up the great work everyone...we're worth it!

I will be starting Level II this weekend. I am not doing really well in Level I. On average, I am not meeting caloric goals for the day. I am doing ok with cardio, but I need serious help in strength training.

I'm doing really well with the calorie range and well but the exercise is a different story - anyone seeing a trend here??

I flipped over the Level 2 yesterday and I'm loving the educational component of the program.

Good luck everyone!!

Scott

I am the opposite. I do really good with the exercises, but I am below my calorie intake. Who would of thought that?! But I am learning more n more everyday and am excited for the next stage.

I'm looking forward to learning and implementing new strategies in this level! I'm doing pretty good at staying in my calorie range, but doing really bad at my exercises. How is everyone else holding up?
