Thank you but the likelihood of me seeing him again is pretty slim, for the emotional well-being of my health i've drawn a line to what I will allow. I refuse to allow this break up to put me into emotional eating. Healthy decisions are what I am trying to make today. Wow if you had told me I would be here today I would have denied it with all my heart.

It certainly sounds like everyone is starting the week off very well. Great job everyone!!

I took daughter to lunch after her dr. appt. before going back to school not only did i pick a healthy choice on menu i stopped when felt full instead of cleaning plate and that is an accomplishment for me considering this week is turning into one of emotions....had a bad split from boyfriend....good for me though but bad on emotions

I am not seeing much change on the scale, but my jeans fit better so I am headed in the right direction! I will NOT be discouraged!

Congrats on the push-ups, ALTAMANDA! Your scale might not be reflecting it, but the push-ups alone prove that you're getting healthy. How wonderful to have supportive comments from your hubby as well.

I only lost 1lb last week. I'm desperate to lose more. My birthday is coming up in May, and I still have about 7 lbs to lose to meet my goal of 40 lbs by 40 yrs. It's just not coming off very fast. But, it's coming off, so I have to focus on that.

This week was a little discouraging as I haven't seen much of a change on the scale, but I have been eating right and exercising. I guess it is working after all, since my husband just sent me an email saying how great I looked and that it really looked like I had lost weight. My clothes are much looser. Yay!

I have taken measurements but I always second guess them. I guess I better start checking those more.

Oh, and I'm finally able to do pushups. I did 20 in a row last night while doing the 30 Day Shred. This is a huge improvement over the 3 or 4 I did on day 1.

I started the week off with a nice 5 hour round of golf...instead of chip, chocolate bars and beef from the cart girl I opted for a tuna sandwich on whole wheat and water emoticon

For what it's worth, I hit the ball OK, but the putter didn't cooperate very much

I had a great week, exercised, lost weight, ate right; most important . . . I FEEL GREAT!!! The best motivation for a new week.

I had an OK week, managed to lose a pound (good for me!) but I may have found it yesterday at a party.
As long as I stay at work or home I am good, if I go out I just really don't seem to be able to resist just a nibble here and there. Those nibbles add up! emoticon

end of week one and some days were good ummm some days were bad.....I did discover I can not go out to dinner yet....will power is not there to avoid those foods not healthy for me

End of week two. I have lost 5 pounds, but will have offical weigh in tomorrow morning. I have been trying to stay in range this week, but struggled a bit because I have been off from work, and therefore out of routine. I know I will get back on track Monday.

Tomorrow will be the biggest challenge for me because it is my birthday...35. Will be going out to breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is my choice and that's because all my stepdad cooks is eggs in bacon grease. So good, but soooo not part of my healthier lifestyle now.

Dinner was a surprise. My girlfriend is flying in from far away to visit for a couple days and made reservations at Melting Pot. Now, she is also on a health kick with me, but we figured since it is my birthday, and we have been very good since signing up, that one cheat night is allowed. We will probably still take it a little easier by sharing instead of both choosing something.

Good first week, but had some water loss contributing to my numbers. Biggest weakness is maintaining my calorie range (as I expected), but if I could start making that change I'm bound to be even more successful. Thanks, SP!

That's a good goal to have, to lose those 4 lbs and really focus on that exercise, but don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen on the scale! Take measurements because with exercise, your muscles are being built and you make show a gain rather than a loss, which is a-ok when you're doing everything right and your clothes fit better and the inches are coming off.

Friday is my weigh-in day and I'm happy to say that I lost 2lbs this week - my goal is to double that to a 4lb loss next week which would take me down to 260....in order to hit that I'll have to really focus on the exercise

I don't know what to make of this. I am still getting used to the site but since signing up I have rarely had the time to get on here. First off, almost everyone in the family has gotten sick with the exception of my oldest son. Top that off with this being Spring vacation for the kids so they have monopolized the computer this week. I am lucky I've had the chance to check my email let alone get onto SP.
Then this morning when I get on for my weigh-in I realize I have missed the pts. I can get at the bottom of the emails we get from the site. Oh well, it hasn't been all bad; somehow I did manage to lose 2 lb. this week but then again with everyone sick we have been living on soup. I don't know what will happen next week when we start in on regular food again.

My first week with SP, and I am off to a bad start. I did cardio 5 days a week for the last 3 weeks prior to signing up, and since signing up....I did one day of cardio and a 5 minute jump rope session on another day. I hope next week will be a better week.

RSGAVIN, great job on improving your eating habits. I hope to be there one day soon.

I have to be honest I didn't know what to expect when I joined SP just knew I had to do something different because what I was doing wasn't working at all....But in the last week since joining not only has my house been purged of unwanted sweets and snacks but my son is starting to get enthusiastic about cooking with me and even picked out and ate his veggie (without argument) for the first time in such a long time i don't remember when. My oldest daughter has hugged me for first time in a long time and my middle daughter is jumping on the sparkteens sight. My parents and sister are watching because I guess they see renewed energy..just hope I can keep all this up
