EDIBLEONE - I just read an article about exercising and tiredness. You are more likely to be tired with exercising now b/c your body isn't used to it.

But if you find that you are eating properly, getting exercise, lots of water and proper sleep - you might want to contact a doctor.

Find something that motivates you - something that makes you wanna go 200%. If something in your life makes you angry - use that as a motivation. Showing up someone who made a nasty comment to you, your new self.

ALLITASTIC - Yes it is quite possible to get too much sleep. If you wake up naturally in the morning - your body has sufficiently rested and you should get up. What happens with the body is this: you 'recharge' during sleep. If you continue to sleep after you are finished 'recharging' (waking up naturally) your body will 'deplete its storage' and start all over again. That's why some ppl sleep 12 hours and are tired. Their body got too much and started 'draining it out'

I read about this in an article but I can't remember which one.

Have you tried drinking water and adding EmergenC?

I love this product b/c I also do not take vitamins daily.

Re: tired all the time...try taking a multivitamin...that will help some...

you could be low in iron...might be a good idea to go get a check up with full blood work up done...

also...as you start to eat better...and exercise...you will feel better...and feel more rested & sleep better...

RE: too much sleep...yes it is possible to get to much sleep which will continue to make you feel sleepy...

not sure about the milk issue...you could be allergic...my son is and it took 3 yrs to figure out that he was allergic...and thats what was causing his constant ear infections...which led to hearing loss(it was fixed...but he needed 2 yrs of speech therapy) his allergy is not an immediate response and it is different from being lactose intolerant...hes not...hes allergic to something in the milk...and it was a build up of it in his system over time that caused the symptoms...so it could be worth looking into...calcium is good for you...thats what the ads are about...which you can get from cheese, yogurt, etc...(my son can have all of those fine, just not straight milk...yeah its weird)

I'm tired all the time and my dad keeps telling me that it's because I drink a lot of milk. Does milk help you stay healthy? Because I've heard it has enzymes that are bad for you but its advertisements say it "Does a body good." Is milk part of the problem that I'm tired a lot?

I usually get between 10 and 12 hours of sleep every night. Is it bad to get that much sleep?

I understand where you are coming from. Some days I just want to crawl back in bed. I go for a walk when I am feeling tired. I just tell myself that I am going to take a short walk. I try not to concentrate on how long or how much I will walk. Once I get started I find that being outside and walking tends to pick me up and I can then motivate myself to do more.

You may also want to check with a Dr to make sure there are no medical issues causing you to feel so tired.

I'm sorry to say that I don't yet have any wisdom for you in the exercise motivation department =(. However, your comment that you're "tired all the time" made me wonder if you have sleep issues. . . . Do you get enough? Do you have insomnia or sleep apnea? Do you drink caffeinated stuff in the evenings? Do you smoke or drink close to bedtime? (Personally, I smoke, which I know contributes to my own sleep problems, but I'm only tackling one lifestyle issue at a time, and right now it's weight loss! LOL) When you DO exercise, do you do it within a few hours of bedtime? (You shouldn't.)

Regular exercise can definitely help you sleep better, but if you're not getting enough sleep in the first place, it's hard to dredge up the willpower to start and stay with an exercise routine.

Just a thought. Adequate sleep is the best "energy booster" there is!

Anyone know what I can use as an energy booster to motivate me to excercise more frequently? I am tired all the time and I am really trying to push myself but I think I need an extra boost. Any suggestions?
