Well I too am just now saying Hi, I have been a member well since April, and have lost a total of 25 lbs so far. I have been in a rut for the past couple months and am now slowly getting out, slowly. emoticon

Good morning! I didn't realize this group existed until I started getting the weekly updates. So here I am.

I'm Renee, 59 years young and live in Biloxi, MS, with my DH of 37 years.

I have between 30 and 40 pounds to lose and I've fallen off the wagon so many times it's pathetic. I keep forgetting this isn't a "diet", but a lifestyle change. So I do well for a while, and then crash and burn. So I'm back to square one, again.

Glad to be here. I'm at work so I have to keep it short.

I am really impressed with the success you folks are having! I have also lost nearly 20 pounds in four weeks, and I'm pleased that I am beginning to feel happier and healthier - and my clothes fit so much better! Awareness is the key, and that means staying consistent with entries and with the process. Keep up the terrific work!

Hello everyone,

I have been a SP team member for 5 weeks now. I have lost 31 lbs., dropped to an 2XL shirt from a 3XL and dropped from a 46 waist jeans to a 44. Needless to say I am very happy with this site. Tracking my intake was exactly what I needed to be successful in my efforts. I wish you all the best in your endeavors to beat the beast. We can win this battle of the bulge, together we are strong. I'm about 3 weeks in too and I'm more motivated now that I ever was to maintain this healthy lifestyle.

The weight is coming off, but more importantly, I'm regaining my energy levels and I'm LOVING IT.

SP has provided all the tools that I need to be successful in addition to a wonderful community of folks who motivate, encourage and help to hold me accountable

I'm doing well with the food portion and I know writing everything down and being aware is making the difference for me.
I having trouble getting motivated to exercise, I am walking 3 times a week but can't get myself to do more emoticon

Hello, everyone. The support is helpful. Because I'm exercising often and eating so much better since I started the program, I expected to see the weight simply disappear. I am down in pounds and inches, but the loss is not rapid so ongoing support and keeping one's eyes on the prize for the long haul is essential. Best wishes to all of you.

Wow, lot's of new faces around.

Just found this site this morning. I started in april 15 tax day - should be able to remember that day.
anyway i need to lose in the neighborhood of 50 or so lbs and i am so excited. i really want to do this this time, i don't want to get discouraged and quit as i have sooooo many times in the past. have lost 10 lbs, and realize that that is the easiest 10 lbs there is. i am trying to treadmill five days a week and build up on that and trying to journal my food and drink my water. all of you keep up the good work and happy sp day!

Hi!!! I am new to this site. I have been on for about a week and a half and I have already lost seven lbs. I am very excited to lose weight because I have tried so hard to lose in the past and have never been able to lose more than maybe two or three lbs. Hi,
I joined on April 14 & I'm doing great with the calorie part, but having trouble getting motivated to exercise. I have walked a few times & just tonight got out a walking video I bought a year ago from Prevention, it really got me moving emoticon

Welcome and Hi all I am also new and have a question if any one here can answer great. I went to a horse show Saturday and between riding my horse before the classes to keep her warmed up and the actual classes I was in the saddle at least 2 1/2 hours on Sat. How do you log that in your fitness timing?

I figured out how to log in the curves but am lost on the other. I have also added some more pictures on my spark page Thanks

Hello all,

I just joined this group, and am trying to figure out how to navigate through the site. I feel that I generally eat pretty well, but my biggest challenge is making sure that I get enough exercise each day / week. As much as I love doing sports and activities, I end up sitting at the computer or reading a box instead of being active.

I hope this site will motivate me to be more active - and give me a way to sustain that after the summer is over!!

Hi there. My name is Lorraine. As you can guess, I am new too. This looks like a great tool and I am having fun so far just going thru the site. I think the nutrition page is going to be my favorite tool. I actually tracked all my food intake on the 1st day, no cheating, and I realized that I have consumed over 3000 calories. WELL, I THINK THIS WAS A WAKE UP CALL! No wonder I gained 20 lbs. I'm looking forward to all the support that SP can give me. I think that is what I have been lacking. I've always tried to do it on my own. WE CAN DO IT!

I am new to this site too. Used the WW site for many years with no success emoticon . I am hoping that the new site will inspire me more. I like the counting calories - really makes you accountable. I have new motivation this time around, not sure what the difference is this time. I just started up this week, and I too have had problems balancing my diet and exercise to get to a point where I am not exshausted all day. I think I am getting the hang of it now.. my suggestion...
Ask plenty of questions on the message boards. I have yet to ask a question where I didn't get great advice and support! Good luck team!!

Does anyone ever find that they can either eat well and not be great at exercising or have the exercising part down but have trouble eating right? I just joined SP yesterday and am having trouble starting. I'm 30, single and have about 60 lbs to lose. Any start-up pointers?

Hi everyone! I am new to this site. I am a mother of two, both girls, ages 7 and 5. At my heaviest I weighed 220 lbs. and am currently down to 200. I am looking to lose 56 more pounds.

Hi everyone. Today was my first day. I did well with tracking what I ate and how much exercise I did. I hope I can continue and stay with it. Sweets are my issue. I love sweets!

Hello everyone. I too need a little help staying motivated. I seem to have the excercise piece down but am having a little trouble with the eating. I love food and it is very hard for me to be good. My husband loves to go out to eat and I enjoy going with him. I just need to pass up the wings and beer and find something healthy to eat. I appreciate all the support here.

Hi all, just checkingin. I have been off work for 2 days and I seem to have a great handle on my eating and excercise. When I go back to work tomorrow I feel like my excercise motivation will go out the window emoticon Hopefully not, but I know how I am LOL. Hope everyone has a great day!
