I had lost 17 pounds during the past year and gained 10 back. I am on the right track again. I really need sparks!
short term goal: lose 3 ponds this month and 5 pounds in 5/2009.
Long term goal: Be healthier. emoticon
and treat each day as if it were my first!

Hi everyone!

Great idea MMW on tracking of Sodium! And too much is not good either!

I have increased my cardio and leg exercises! I am focusing on my abs, legs, and triceps now. I and everyone around me is noticing my body changes!

I feel great!

Reach 3500 calorie burn and keep the 1200 calorie intake!

all right, we're at the halfway mark - 1 more month to go! how's everyone doing? I've been hovering around the same couple of pounds, but at my lowest weight since starting this journey and that's enough to praise! Hoping to lose 5 pounds this month and be almost to my goal! I really have to step it up though. More cardio!! I would suggest to you guys if you haven't started tracking your sodium on your nutrition page you should! It's something that can really affect how your weight fluctuates...

Anyway, good luck and get moving!

Hey guys!
How's everyone doing so far???

When I went for my annual physical, my doctor noted that I had lost some weight! It was nice of her to acknowledge that and congrat me!

I am doing interval training on the elliptical. I am seeing good results because of it!

In 2 months, it'd be nice if I were 180 pounds... The overall pace of my weight loss has slowed down. It may pick up when the weather improves, or if I go back to the protein + fiber + water routine.

I am definitely hoping to get to 185, which will be the next 10% weight loss increment I have set for myself.

I'm supposed to have a physical for the first time in several years this week. I wonder if the doc will check my current weight against my PREVIOUS weight?

Hi guys!
I am sorry about not posting ... I didn't have computer access since last Thursday ... my hubby took me away for a quick weekend get-a-way.
And now I am all caught up!
I got in lots and lots of walking.
I am down 0.5 lbs!!!!
I am sick with the cold ... but by this weekend I should be back on the elliptical in full swing!

Only 7 more lbs. to goal. I won't be thin, but healthier, and if I lose much more I will be sooo wrinkly. We'll see how it goes.

can't do too much walking/running this week b/c i have 1/2 vision - resting one eye, no contact, etc. gonna try to go for a walk in a park nearby. gotta step it up!! Trying to compensate by eating fewer calories, still in my range but lower end.

I, too, had reached a 3 month plateau! But I re-looked at the food and fitness log and made some changes ... I finally lost 2 pounds.

I would love to continue losing.

Let's do a 2 month challenge!

How about increase calorie burn by 100?
So whatever your are burning now - aim for another 100 calories to burn (I understand the equipment calorie monitor is not accurate but it does guide us) so let's burn the fat and get the scale to move!

We can track the total minutes and calories burned on this thread.

I'm kind of at the same point - plateauing... How bout things to do differently? I'm going to try to makeover my metabolism (I think there's stuff on the internet about that) try the sp bootcamp videos and try the couch to 5k program. I think adding running could mix it up for me... plus it's another goal i'd love to reach in 2 months. any other ideas? If anyone is on a biggest loser type challenge those last about 2 months - could be good for us!

And I'm near the end of my second goal. Would love to lose 8 lbs. in two months, but am at a stage where I may lose a little slower. But with encouragement of all of you, I just might hit it!

I would love to lose the 17 lbs I still got hanging on....but.....will be happy no matter what. I decided about 6 weeks ago...that I already reached my goal......I am eating healthy 98% of the time and I am exercising every day. What the scale says......not so important.....
