You're right, WOO HOO!

For activity, every day involved walking around the cities we were in (Atlanta, Washington DC). Also, when one day was spent driving (10 hours), broke up the monotony at rest stops by jumping rope for 5 minutes, that's a workout! At one point, we were in the mountains of North Carolina, and that involved hiking for 2 days, 2 hours each day. All in all, a fabulous trip, with an amazing result!

I can't believe this, but I actually lost weight on vacation last week. I was scared about leaving the comfort of my routine, but I managed to get a workout in most days (hiking down a waterfall, jumping rope at a road stop, walking walking walking). And while my calorie intake was consistently outside my normal range, I made good decisions and ate well. I think the increase in calories actually HELPED my metabolism, since I ended up losing another pound last week.

I got three comments from people who haven't seen me in awhile about "looking fit", "looking thin", and "looking like I did 10 years ago". YAY!

Thank you, Spark, for helping reset my mind to think about healthy choices!
