I know what you mean about electric communication. I am always fooling around and people that I work with are constantly laughing at my antics.....and that was my intent......just whimsical....I do think that sometimes, women especially, we take ourselves and our lives way to seriously.....so glad to hear you are better. I do worry about some of you younger girls (daughter in law too) that you push yourselfs so hard you don't take the time to enjoy what you have while you are trying to get what you want....but that is my motherly side.......have a great weekend.

One day at a time......in my red high heels, and my crown!

I am so done bein the fat girl...how bout you?

It's no longer a diet. I am calling it my live-it.

MrsWiggly! Thanks for the article, I've added it to my favorites. It simply reinforces everything that's been said in this discussion, which is great. It's nice to have an 'authority'... HA!

Sasi! No offence taken... One thing I hate about electronic communication - you just can't get the tone of voice and all those body language cues across, eh?

I've been taking it a lot easier this week. My schedule is back to (relatively) normal and I'm starting to feel my energy pick up. I think after some rest this weekend, I'm going to be good to go!

Listen to your body! If you are feeling this way your wearing your body out. You will burn yourself out if your not careful. When you exercise you form tiny tears in your muscle fibers. If you don't give your body time to recover you will burn out. You will start feeling the way you feel now.

Here is an article I saved that I received from spark. I just knew it would come in handy one day. Please go read it.

AMAMBAW, I hope you were not offended by my suggestion of a nap....but I am serious......you need to rest when you are so exhausted. That is part of the program here.....running on empty all the time will force your body to hold onto excess weight....kind of like a survival tactic.....read all the stuff about sleep, etc. I certainly admire your goals....no doubt about it.....but please remember to take care of yourself or you may have more than just a weight problem to deal with......take care and rest when you can.......anything is probably better than nothing......ok?

Hey Sweetz.

I think I'm going to take your advice and skip a fullout workout on Saturday morning this week. I got a bit of extra sleep last night, which seemed to help a lot, but I'm finding I'm so burnt that studying is getting tough.

Thanks for the advice - I sometimes forget that I actually have to let me body rest.

Cheers, A

Hey Amanda, well when I had finals 2 weeks ago, plus work & everything else. I honestly cut back on working out. I feel if I am exhausted I wasn't giving my workouts 100%. So instead of doing 5hrs of so so workouts. I would do only 3hrs of 100% workouts. Also I do treat myself 1x a week, sO don't stress the takeout food. Your not suppose to eat the same amount of calories all the time, ur body will get to used to it & cause u to plateu. I definately made sure I took a multivitamin everyday & drunk extra water. Green tea for a lil caffeine & honestly I caught up on my sleep. I took a break one day out of that week & slept. Nothing beats a good nites rest to let ur body cacth up.

Hope this helps...LOL I had to stop myself.

Sasi - I nap on the weekends when I have time. What do you suggest during the week? I'm looking for ways people resist the urge to overeat when their defences are down... A

Over the last two days, I've been absolutely zonked. I think I've been overdoing it exercise and study wise for the last two weeks since I got back from my holiday. (I'm working full-time and studying to write my law school entrance exam, plus going to the gym 4-5 hours a week)

Anyway, I was so tired last night that hubby and I ordered in, something we don't normally do. We had Greek food, which isn't too bad calorie-wise, but I ended up eating more than I should. Looking at it now, I think it was b/c 1) I was tired and wasn't on my game and 2) I haven't had any take-out or restaurant food for most of the month.

Any suggestions, fellow Sparkies, on how you cope with fatigue? Practical and non-practical solutions are welcome!

Amanda
