Tips:
*make sure to eat a good breakfast full of fiber, complex carbs & protein
*we should shoot for 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day
*try combining every meal with lean protein & complex carbohydrates
*try not to wait too long between meals -no longer than 4hrs, the ideal is every 3 hrs. 5hrs is too long and will make you hungry and eat more @ your next meal
*stay hydrated! -drink plenty of water

Yes, it takes some work @ first but don't give up! you owe it to yourself to be happy :)

Try eating a breakfast high in fiber. It takes a while to get used to increased fiber, but it REALLY keeps you full.

I think that's the purpose of our first week or two. To track what we normally eat, analyze it and figure out what to do to make it right. I don't get enough calcium, magnesium and potassium. A little research and I found a glass of milk with some molassas and a banana gives me a lift in all three of those areas.

Just keep tracking and analyzing. Then read up where you need help!

I'm having the same problem! When I boosted my water intake to what it should be, then I'm not hungry enough to eat my last snack/dessert item. If I try and force myself, I feel sick. I know we'll get there eventually, but it's painful trying!

I've tracked my calories before this. One thing I used to do that I'm actually going back to is drinking 2 glasses of water with every meal. You want to drink a whole glass before you eat and consume the second either while you eat or after. I used to use a 16oz cup to make sure I was drinking enough. Also, make sure that when you can, look at calories for what you're planning to eat in advance. That way you can plan your day. I'm beginning to think planning is the key to all of this.

I notice the same problems. I feel like i'm hungry all day. I'm on my 2nd full day and i have already gotten close to what i'm supposed to eat. I'm just making sure i log everything down that goes into my mouth..amy

Are you eating a big breakfast. This is your most important meal and the one most people do not eat? I think it is normal when you first start using the tracker and it shows what you should be doing and not what you have been doing. This is helpful to help us make better choices. It will get better. It is getting better for me as I am not eating as much as I was before. Wow scary to know how many calories I was eating. Better now. Patricia

Is it normal to take a while to figure out your eating? I'm trying to eat well today, and I'm noticing that I'm not getting enough - calories, protien, etc. I just need some reassurance that I'll figure this out eventually. I'm on my 3rd full day, and I'm feeling pretty hungry (just before lunch).
