Sometimes I think of November as "the month of waiting" - Thanksgiving isn't until near the end, and of course there's all that hoopla about Christmas, now that the stores start hammering on it in September. Whatever happened to the idea of "Not until after Thanksgiving"?

Here (UK) they've been playing Christmas movies for a month or more. I will be all Christmas-ed out well before December, at this rate. Not that I've watched any of them. I never could abide Christmas carols out of season, and I feel even moreso about movies / television.

Nothing new or exciting here. Well, I'll take that back: my router broke so I had to get a new one. The ISP provides it (thank goodness, I have no idea what I'd do else) but I have to do the hooking up. It arrived on Wednesday, but it took me until today to tackle it. Oh, sure, plugging the cables into the right places on the back was easy, since it's the same model as the old one. But getting everything to "talk" on the network again? Ai yi yi. Seems so simple - "Simply find the name of your Wifi on the list, click on it, then enter the password."

Try telling that to Alexa. Or the printer. o_0
