I've lost a total of 38-40 lbs in 8 months..
I keep gaining and losing the same 2 lbs for the last couple of months now, which is VERY frustrating. But, I keep at it because of the energy and the level of accomplishment I feel for myself. I also bought a few new turbo jam videos, so maybe that will break my plateau.

Everyone has done very well, I can't wait until February to see where everybody is :)

(btw, the whole crossing the legs thing.. I was totally excited when I was able to do that again lol)

I am still around.I have learned so much from Sparkteam,AS I sit here evaluating things I have done very well with many non-scale victories. The one thing with I have observeed on this team and my others A lot of Sparkers are losing lots of weight.I still have 10 pd to goal weight.I have only lost 6 in 8 moths which I tend to focus on that and forget all the positive things I am not giving up as I sit here typing in my red Sparkpeople shirt, congratulatins to all

I'm still here. The summer went pretty well for me (saw my lowest number since the 90's), then I got one of those nasty summer colds and completely fell off the wagon. The last week or two I've wrestled with whether it's worth it...decided today that this IS something I can do, I just need to stick with it. So here's me, climbing back on the wagon.... emoticon

I love reading about our struggles and triumphs. And so much wonderful progress and changes.

I'm still working with maintenance--I'm sticking it, but it's been hard, with a wrestling match going on with my love of sugar, and the addictive cycle it throws me into. I still haven't totally come to a peaceful place there yet, but WAY much better.

And because I was able to achieve the weight change I had been trying to reach for 20+ years, I have felt empowered in other areas. My website went live this week, which the most exciting, energizing thing you can imagine! And it's a goal I probably would not have believed I could reach without Spark and the motivational habits I've learned here.

Blessings and power to each one of us!!

Deb

Hi Team,

I've been missing you guys. All of Sept was life happening events and I didn't have time for walking. A slow computer has been keeping me away but high speed is coming in a few weeks so you'll all see more and less of me. I'm afraid the ugly cookie monster raised it's head. Even though I told myself that oatmeal raisin cookies weren't that bad.

I won't tell ya how much I gained only that I'm still fitting into a size 16 instead of 18 and I just don't understand that. How much muscle can you make?

So glad to have spent the last 4 hours online with all of ya.

Congratulations to everyone for staying the course!

Just like the stock market, we're all going down.

Wow! Congrats to all the big losers!

OMG, what hasn't changed in 8 months? And all for the better! I've lost almost 49 pounds with SP, and since I lost 11 pounds prior to that, it's a total of 60 pounds, woo hoo!

I've gone from an 18-20, to an 8-10! I shop in the "regular" sizes now, and wear sleeveless shirts!

I can cross my legs, lol! And I can squat and get back up without heaving. I can walk up the stadium steps without getting winded, and my heart hammering.

I've gotten off high blood pressure meds, and my blood sugar is down to normal range, double woo hoo!

I've got about 3 pounds to go before I hit the "normal" BMI, that's my next goal.

With my teammates help and encouragement, I know I can finish this race!

Hello......Just popping in. I forgot about this site.....lol.

Although I joined back in February, I didn't really find anything that worked for me until 5/10/08...and I've been going strong ever since. Today I weigh 174 (I just changed my ticker)

I didn't know if this team would still be going strong, but it looks like you guys are - and with great losses too. Good for you.

For me, low carb is working.......Tough hitting plateaus tho, so my search for what works is anywhere and everywhere - I'm definitely committed.

Nice to see others are too.

I'm still hanging on. My meds make weight loss really hard. And my job has made the whole planning thing really hard. A little cheese with that whine??? emoticon

I'm still hanging in there. I'm no-where near where I'd hoped to be weight wise, but at least I haven't gone up! Lately I've been a little better about everything, so I'm still working on it.

Audra! 88 lbs!!! You go girl!!!

emoticon Audra! I too am doing well. I still love logging on everyday. Maybe just a little too much hahaha! I got my SIL and brother and son's fiance to join since I've started. I've also started 2 teams and made lots of friends. It is so motivating to be on here. I'm honored everyday for being able to read other peoples stories, blogs, etc.! It is amazing how much someone is willing to share! Thanks everyone!

I so hope that everyone else who joined SparkPeople 8 months ago is enjoying being here as much as I still am! The friends I've made here on my journey mean so much to me - and I couldn't have gotten to where I am without them!

I am now 88 pounds down and just 1 pound shy of my halfway mark. I'm starting to feel like a new person! I have so much more energy and stamina. My healthy changes have mostly become habit.

Good luck to everyone else on the rest of their journey!
