I was hovering just above 171 today so I put it in as 171.5 and am hoping tomorrow will say 171 right on! That will make 37 pounds lost - sometimes I really cant believe it, it doesnt seem to me that I made THAT a dramatic change but what I have changed has obviously worked!
Congrats to everyone on their great work, being part of this group really keeps the motivation up and makes you feel accountable, such a great idea!

Getting back on track after #1 while trying for #2!

so i am shooting to get down to atleast 169 this week. i havent really done to much losing these past weeks but i just started tae bo earlier in the week and i really like it. so i am hoping that helps out alot. i cant stand the fact that i slowed down with my weight loss but i still stay motivated and i still do what i have to do because i know in the long run it will all pay off.

Good for you alda! I'm so happy you went down!!! YAY! Hopefully this Wednesday I'll be down a little too. I have decided to try a bit of calorie cycling and see if that works. I also started to use my scale to weigh food....tonight we had chicken breasts and i am still in shock. I always put in 1 breast and it gives me about 260cal. today i weighed it and it was 3.25oz and only 100 cal!!! Does this sound right? I couldn't believe it. I guess I have been over-estimating my calories b/c we eat chicken ALOT amd i just enter 1 breast.

As i'm thinking about it though...my chicken are skinless and boneless. Does this matter when I put my weight in oz into the nutrition calculator? My husband is trying to tell me that 101calories for 3.25oz of chicken is way too low....

well i got the ball rolling again. i am down to 173. i was 176.6 for like a week. it was bad. but i realized that leep does have a big part of it. i ususally only sleep like 3 hours a day cause of my job being over night and my kids waking up early in the day. but today i slept late and i weighed myself before i went to sleep and i was 178 and i woke up at 173. you body needs time to digest everything you ate through out the day. plus changing up the food i was eating and uping my calories a lil bit. its working. yay!!!

good luck alda! Let me know if it works. I do tend to eat the same foods also and usually stay within the same number of calories. Maybe switching it up might work?? Let me know how it goes for you though.

well i spoke to my mother because of course mothers are supposed to know it all, lol. she said a good way to get the ball rolling again is to eat just a few more calories. she said that i stopped gaiming cause i wasnt eating enough calories and i am not eating a big enough variety of foods. she said to try and eat a steak everyonce in a while. so thats what i am going to try. and i have actually heard that from someone else before. so wish me luck.

well, today was my weigh-in and i didn't lose anything :( i'm not going to give up or anything, just feeling frustrated and stressed like alda said. If only i could lose .5lb and be away from 155!

really i would love to know a good way to get over this plateau. its very frustrating. working sio hard every week and nothing happening. dont get me wrong thats not going to make me stop my diet or anything. but its stressful amd i heard that keeps weight on also.

alda-you are not alone. Since Mar.19 i've been 155-157 and it's very frustrating! I am still plugging away and hoping to see results soon. Has anyone else encountered this? What did you do to get off the plateau?

It looks like there are a lot of us making good progress. I lost another two pounds since last week, bringing my total to 20 pounds with 4 more to go to reach my goal weight. Woohoo!

well i have lost 23lbs since i started. i am just now gettting to a bump in the road where i am stuck between 174-178. its really annoying. but i am still going to do what i usually do. and i had tried slim fast for the week amd it did good to take care of my chocolate craving but i dont know if that is the reason for my weigh not really going anywhere. i dont i just might have to start working harder.

Tomorrow is my typical day to weigh in but im going out of town again til saturday...so i decided to check in a lil early (another pre business trip weight) and since i got back from my atl 3 weeks vacation last sunday i have lost 6 pounds and am now at 219! The weight has just been falling off and i havent had any downfalls since Ive started sparks. I hope it doesnt slow down anytime soon

This is my first weigh in post since discovering this team. I lost 1 lb this week! So far 5 lbs total since joining SP. It is going slower than I would like, but I am starting to exercise more consistently so I expect it may start to come off a little more. I don't have as much to lose as a lot of folks, but I lost 12 lbs last year with the All You plan, and it is a lot for a little bitty person like me LOL
Congrats to all who are working so hard and sticking with it. I am proud of you!!

congrats red. my weight loss seems to be slowing down some. i was losing like 3-4 lbs a week and now i lose weight all week but when it gets to my offical we3igh in day i am only 1 lb less then i was the week before. it drives me nuts.like all last week i was like 175 and then when i weighed myself on tuesday i was 177, just that one day. thats the part that drives my crazy not the rest of the week.

Today was my official weekly weigh in.

I am happy to report that I lost another lbs this week!

Since I started SP I have lost 8 lbs!
For many this wont seem like much but thats alot for me as I had already lost 25 on my own, and progress does slow down as you get closer to your goal and for me closer to a weight I have never been as an adult.

Since SP I have also lost 2" from my waist and hips, 1.25" from my chest and thighs and around 2 inches from my lower thighs ( above the knee )! I am SO happy to be seeing improvements, especially in my lower body measurments - my hard work is paying off!

Alda - I do the same thing. Sometimes its discuraging but it keeps me on track and like you said, I dont freak out it I go up a bit one day I know at some point I will go down again because I have adopted good habits!

well i weight myself every morning when i wake up. i dont usually record it unless its a big change but it actually makes me feel better. i dont like freak out if i am up i just know i have to work harder that day to get back down. but keep up the hard work it will pay off in the end.

I FOUND WHEN I WAS WALKING 45 MIN. TO AN HR. EVERY DAY, THAT MY CLOTHES DID FEEL LOOSER. I COULDN'T WEIGH MYSELF AT THE TIME, BUT I DEFINITELY SAW THE CHANGE IN THE WAY MY CLOTHES FIT. NOW THAT I'M HOME, I'M GOING TO CONTINUE THE EXERCISE EVERY DAY. I HAVE SOME CATCHING UP TO DO . I WANT TO WEIGH MYSELF EVERY DAY AND I THINK THAT IS A MISTAKE AS IT IS SO DISCOURAGING. I GUESS IT MAY TAKE AWHILE SINCE MY BODY HAS BEEN SO USED TO THE SAME WEIGHT FOR SO LONG.

I'm getting a little frustrated (not enough to go pig out or anything), but just a little frustrated because I don't really seem to be losing the weight. And I don't see my clothes really fitting all that differently.

I'm hoping that with the nice weather starting to make an appearance, I'll really be able to get in some walking which will help me jump start the actual weight loss.

I'm right in my ranges on my nutrition, so I just hope it's really just a matter of working in some more activity.

I'm not on a diet. I'm changing my diet.

I'm down to 173. I just want to break 170 for a start...haven't been able to get down there in years!!!!My hubby and I went for a good walk today outside. Lots of hills so it wasn't easy and now that we are back home to the cold, its not as fun as walking in Florida! I'm going to a Ladie's Retreat for the weekend, so that will be a challenge too!

Wow that is awesome, 3 lbs a week. Keep up the great work. Lately since being sick I haven't been able to get back in the swing of things. I am just sooo tired all the time... Anyway, don't get discouraged if you don't make the 3 lbs one week. You're bound to hit a plateau at some point.... Plus doing cardio and the strength training will build muscle which weighs more than fat. How are your clothes fitting??? I'm sure your b/f loves you the way you are.

well thank you for your input. i did actually make it down the three lbs. i really just anxious about getting in to the 170s its been a very long time since i have been down to that much. my boyfriend has never seen me that small and we have been together for 7 years. i think once i get down to like 178 ill stop obsessing so much about it. i am giving myself til like august to get to 155. i know i can do it but being 178 is the first goal i actually set for myself.

Hi MelissA833,

I read in the articles that if you eat to few calories, that can keep you from loosing weight.
My clothes are fitting loser all the time and i'm
losing inches even though I don't show that much weight lost on the scale. The muscles that you're building weight more but help burn calories faster.
You really need to learn how foods work together and exercise works with the foods. As long as I'm going down, I really don't care in what order my body does it. I don't dwell on that at all but look for new recipes and get excited about finding out which foods are high in nutrients and low in calories and my body will do the rest. I just don't slack off on what my body needs. It will do the rest. 1300 calories seems to the the magic number for me. I need this many calories so that I'm getting all the vit I need. I track a lot more then just the cal, carbs, fat and protein. I track B12 because that works with the carbs to burn fat. Do read as many articles as you can and you'll learn what you need to do.

This is going to happen. Yeah! emoticon

I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. My calorie and nutrient ranges go up when i loose weight. I don't alter my exercise at all. Has this happened to anyone else?

At least you're going in with the right attitude of trying harder next week instead of giving up. There was a week where I just lost .5lb. My husband said how proud he was of me. I could have gained weight. I guess even staying the same is okay on some weeks. I'm sure that your clothes are fitting much better or even falling off? I've been losing inches like crazy : ) Good Luck and don't stress about the weigh in. Stress keeps the weight on! emoticon

If My experience, and lots of others here is any indication, I don't think you can keep up 3 pounds loss a week forever, disappointing though it is. I was down 1.3 this week, and I'm changing my attitude to be --happy just to be down!
