Ya, it took 2 hours because i waited until the next day and it was real thick ice that i needed to chop and then shovel it off the drive way. My hubby usually does it but I'm living with my parents to help them out and they are old and my dad had a dr. appointment so I needed to do it so he wouldn't fall on his way out. I was soooo hurting afterward, but, i'm glad now that I got off my butt and did it.

Wow - 2 hours! Great job. I have 2 sons still at home and they do all the shoveling and we got that same snowstorm/rainstorm here in NH. They were both pooped after that one and went to bed voluntarily! I'm sure that calorie count is right.

I haven't shoveled snow since I left Utah as a kid. Don't get enough snow in Eugene, OR to worry about shoveling the stuff and as for a DH, yea, they are great aren't they. They can move furniture, squash bugs, and mow grass. lol

The other day here in MA, we had a snow storm followed by it raining all day. I never shoveled the driveway because of the rain and it has been thick ice. So today I decided to tackle the icy drive way and clear it. It took me 2 hours to chop all the ice and shovel the pieces off.

I was thinking I could log it in the cardio section so I searched for shoveling snow and it was there. For 2 hours the calories burned was 1150, can that be right? Does that sound right? I know I'm pretty sore so I guess it could be.
