Hmmm.... did you create the ticker on your sparkpage or did you import from another website? If you imported it, then I have no idea how to update.

Another possibility is that your browser caches. In that case, go to Tools, Internet Option, and Delete Temporary Internet Files, Delete Cookies and Delete Browsing History. You'll lose all your passwords and everything but your ticker will look updated to you. When I look at your posts, your current weight shows up as 258. If that is correct, then the caching on your machine is the problem.

Go to your start page, and click on it. On the left side of the page, under My Tools, there should be a box come up about weigh in. Click on that, and then record your new weight, and it'll move your ticker automatically. Hope it's headed down!

'Fraid this is another question, not an answer! I love all the depth of the site, but I have not been able to figure out how to get to the web search page. I have the spark-site search at the top, but there's that webpage, with weather and all--they're highlighting it, but I can't find it. I have to log out and start again, which is no good, or go via my "View Spark points" page, which is not good either. There has to be a way--anyone know it? emoticon

do you have it set for SP to give you a meal plan? There is a little button to click to turn off the meal plans if you want, then you can just click on ADD FOOD and search the items you want there. Most food items and beverages ( or rough equivilents ) are there and if they arent there is a button to click to add your own - which is great if you have specific products at home which you cant find already entered.

The same goes for the fitness page, you need to un-click 'let Spark People generate a strength training program for you " or something along those lines, then you can just add your own excersise in instead of checking off ones they have already programed for you. ( same thing for cardio )

Doing it this way takes more time but then you have things listed and charted exactly as they are for you, and once you get going at it you can list things you eat or do often as favourites and it will make keeping track easier.

Hi,I have a problem with my Spark nutrition page.When I go in to enter my food and calories,most of the food in it I do not eat so I can't get all of my calories correctly logued(unless I lie,and check it anyway)and that's not what I'm here for.I click the change menu icon and nothing happens.It doesn't work to click on that specific food item either.I really want to use this tool but it's just not working for me.By the way the same goes for my fitness page too.
If you know what I'm doing wrong please help.

Is there a way on Spark to track your inches? There seem to be pages for so many things- I am not sure if I am overlooking this. Or is this just something I should try to keep a record of on my own? I am not even totally sure the right places to measure.

Moggy, the journal can be either public or private.

CaramelQT-Every gets their background from different places. What I did was googled back grounds and when you find one you like right click and go to save as. Then uplaod the background to your page. Hope this helps.

Another good question. The only thing I can think of is to save things in your favorites. You don't have to show your favorites on your sparkpage and you can save links, other sparkpages, articles, pretty much anything there.

Also, you can add notes to both your fitness and nutrition trackers. Again, these do not need to show on your sparkpage. So that might be another place for you to put notes.

I've made everything public mainly because of my personality. I want to be transparent because then I'm more accountable and more likely to stick to the program since others will see both my successes and my failures... and I've had plenty of both. I find that I am more likely to be successful since that's what I want people to see. emoticon But, of course, you don't have to be like me at all!

I hope that helps. If you need more information let me know and I'll go back to some other team leaders and see if anyone has any other suggestions.

HEAVENLYDREAM, go to your spark page. Click on "Edit my Spark Page" in the upper right corner. Any photo you've added should show up on the left side. Click on "Change this Caption" just under the photo you wish to change and have fun!
