That sounds so much like my story! LOL But I did leave for about a year when DH got really ill and I could not figure out how to combine his new diet with the Spark way. There are so many things he liked and that was on my eating list that he just could not have so I backed off until we got him stablized and used to his new way of eating. He still takes a few bites of the "forbidden" foods but does good otherwise.

The first time I lost over 50 pounds and this time I have only managed to take off 17 pounds. Mostly because of the 5% challenges.

Have fun enjoying the new granddaughter and I know you are looking forward on getting home to see the next baby come into this world!

We can look at who is posting blogs.

I feel quite serious about getting the weight off this year. I did well my first year but have basically maintained the last couple of years. My problem is consistency.

I am at my daughter's till Friday and then returning home.

I have seen some come back and just say they were still around but not many most of this team anymore.

Maybe we could get one of the leaders to send out a Spark Mail but I don't know if that would work either. But I will Spark-mail her about that.

Lynn, I am glad you spotted that and let us know. I had missed that one. Must have been one of my senior monemts. LOL I did go over and leave her a message to come back to the team. With luck she will pop in and maybe we can help cheer her up and maybe help her find ways to work around her problems.

I agree! I am on Day 3 of my exercise streak. Are you doing any particular diet? I am going to do the Plate Method. Let's really do it this year.

Tracking everything I eat.

Initial Goals:
1. Get back into my previous weight loss jeans.

2. Meet my fiber requirements 5 days a week.

Now that I am finally exercising for the first time in 23 years I have decided to set these weekly exercise goals.

1. Walk or go to the gym 3 - 4 days a week.
2. Strength training 2 - 3 times a week

Lots of walking. Also when I watch what I eat, I do well. I'm still on that roller coaster of eating and hope to get off of it sometime.

When I first started I was doing a lot of walking but after DH became ill and I could not really get out and walk but being told I have Emphasema (sp) put a cramp in the walking. I can't handle the humidity. But I have now found a game for Wii (Thanks to another Spark friend) that is called Walk It Out and I have be walking on that for atleast 1 hour a day for 5 days a week. It's only been a week and a half so I can't say how it is working yet but I do know it really can work up a sweat doing it.
