Not sure! I think the best thing to do is to do it and see what kind of results you get. If you were doing everything everyday then I would say no. There are some articles on SP about strength training. Have you checked any of them out? Let us know how you're doing.

You didn't mention cardio...when do you do that?

Some (most) do the ST the way you are considering switching to. I do it the way you are doing it now. And like you, I switch it up every 4-6 weeks...making sure whatever I switch it to is a challenge.

I do ST Mon-Wed-Fri with 30 minutes cardio and 15 minutes abs/core.
I do Cardio Tues-Thurs-Sat is 25 minutes treadmill, 25 minutes elliptical. Pilates and Jackie Warners abs DVD.
Sunday I just do cardio. About 30 minutes.

So on ST days I don't do as much cardio, but I am working hard enough with my ST that my heart rate has already been up before I even get to my cardio.

And thst brings up another point... some people do their cardio 1st, nost think ST first is best. For me I am too pooped for ST is I do cardio first. So I do my ST first in order to give BOTH my all.

Hello,

I have a question for any of you that would like to help me out. I am thinking of changing up my exercise routine to hopefully get better results in my fitness and weight. So here goes:

I have been doing strength training three times a week and do a full body workout. But I am considering going to 6 days a week doing 2 days a week of each area: upper, lower and core (alternating of course). I was wondering if you think I will get better results. Please let me know as I really need help in deciding and getting motivated once again!
