I'm still active here on Spark, lots of my other spark teams, are no longer active, but I guess people come and maybe get discouraged, and drop off. I am happy as many of you are, to still be here, keeping active and being healthy. Good luck to each and everyone of you.

I told my girls Goodnight one night, and all but one was gone to heaven, by the next morning !
We never stop missing them, even though it has been 41 years this year.

I am glad os many of us are still here and still working at this weight. I know for me I need to remend myself to get back to basics. We all started together and maybe we should all stay in better contact. Some people have just been on a lot less time and losing and it does get discouraging. But I am hanging in there.

I would love to see more activity on this team. We are in this together and know the problems of staying focused at times and tracking.

Glad to see so many of us are still here and still thinking healthy! For me I have had a few medical issues and after 18 years, had to go to work. Needless to say I am human, and lost my way. November of 201,1 I went on the optifast program thru kaiser and after three weeks, lost 15 pounds. I wish I could say that i'm still on it to support my husband (45 lb) and daughter (40 lb) but that was not in the cards for me. I ended up in urgent care, and found out the HARD way that i'm lactose intolerant- dairy based shakes. After a few weeks of recovery, I have found the joys of almond milk, spiru-tein and other non diary foods and feeling much better. I have dropped 30lb in the past 4 months.

I am still here... I was doing great for the first year - consistently losing 1-3 pounds per week... lost about 78 pounds and hit a wall... that was amazingly back in Spring of 2009. I have stayed here - and tried everything to get over the plateau to no avail. Yet I continue to log in every day and track my food (admittedly I slacked off on this for the past few months - and I paid for it!) and I workout at least 4-5 times each week. The struggle is not so much to find consistency in the working out anymore... or even the eating right (although that is more of a temptation than skipping a workout for me now)... the struggle is to keep going because I know it is good for me no matter if the weight comes off or not!

I am not at my goal... I regained about 10 pounds this year and I am determined to at least get that back off... so once again - I am refocused and trying to stir up some determination and hope that if I just keep at it - eventually it really WILL start to melt off again!

Spark On! It's not an easy journey - or a quick fix for sure... but you are worth it!

Well I'm back....after two babies I'm ready to get back going. Before I got pregnant with my last little girl (she's 8 mo now) I was down to 156--that's the best shape I'd been in since high school. I thought I still had so far to go, now I look at those pics as my motivation to get back to my exercise routine and healthy eating habits! I can't believe it's been almost 4 years, crazy!

Restarting yet again...

STILLTRYING, I think you are doing great! It does take time and you are making steps in the right direction. I wish I could say I have lost 12 lbs over the summer but it has takien me 1 year to get off 14lbs. But we are all still here and making the right choices or we would not be losing anything! Agian you are doing great! Keep on moving and losing!

I haven't posted lately but I did manage to take off 12 pounds this summer!! Slow and steady, sometimes I only lost 1/2 a pd. or 3/4 of a pd. but I did lose a little every week. I write in a journal what I eat every day and I weigh in at a Tops Club. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

We may be slow but we are still working at this life style change and that is the important thing! The plateaus will be with us and we may have to "kick-it" up a bit to blast through it but they to will disappear. We just have to stay with the plan!

The slower it comes off the better chance we have to keep it off!

I too took a break when my hubby got sick. I was off for a year and gained back all I had lost due to the "diet" he had to be on. Not many veggies included in his but meats, rice, pasta etc. But I have found ways around that and he can finally have some of the forbidden foods now that he is stable in all his levels. (He has kidney failure) I am taking it off much slower this time around and I am bouncing around with in 3 pounds right now but I know if i keep going that to shall change!

Good luck ladies! I know we all can and will make it to our goals weights!

I think I'm the slowest loser going. My meds are totally fighting against me. I am eating very healthy. Today I get my new knee brace so I'm hoping to get back to walking and riding the recumbent bike. I'm doing upper body stuff about every other day to keep myself at least moving. It's hard to believe in Jan it will be 4 yrs. I really need to get things going. I know my success relies on my moving.

Amen! For the first time EVER - I took about 6 weeks off of Spark this summer... was sick and tired of this blasted plateau (going on 1.5 years now?!) - and stupidly thought I would try a 'new' approach (aka - a diet?!)... it required no weighing or measuring or tracking... I didn't lose - but I didn't gain - but it messed with me mentally! LOL! I am SO happy to be back and to be keeping track and sticking with better choices. I am still stuck - but praying that soon - that scale will start to move downward again!!!

I'm active... sort of!
I learned great eating habits when I originally joined SP, then lost my weight, then fell off the wagon (in regards to exercise, that is)
Now I'm back to find some activities that work with my lifestyle, not just a temporary routine that I'll start to hate and quit again. So far, walking has been working for me. I'm certainly not a gym rat, and hate doing routines. Walking, swimming, skating, etc., those are things that seem to work best for me.

Here goes...!

Well I was gone for a while, but now I'm back!! I first joined after the birth of my son and once I was happy with my weight loss, I stopped using this site. I've since had another baby and now I'm needing to lose some weight again. I am trying to be really good, using the nutrition and fitness trackers everday!

So far I've only been able to lose 2 pounds..but I'll try to keep pluggin away at it! I know I'll one day get there.. I just hope that ONE DAY IS THIS YEAR! LOL

I am still active and I like the social aspects of Spark. For the past year I have been doing 5% 8 week challenges. I am doing WW so I look up the nutritional content of foods to calculate my points. What about you?
