I switched gyms and got a new training routine so now I am finally starting to get results. My weight hasn't changed at all since January, but my trainer says that I am noticeably stronger and have better muscle definition. I am trying to get my body fat number down and not to worry about what the scale says.

Dogs have companions, cats have staff, and ferrets have playmates.

Despite a struggle earlier in the month I will have over 1300 Spark minutes this month, surpassing my goal of 1,200. I am not giving up, and just keep trying and trying.

Walked 5 1/4 miles today and I feel great!! I walk 7 days a week and have lost over 17 lbs. with practically no dieting except to cut out white things, sugar, bread etc..... Walking really works not to mention it's beautiful first thing in the am in Maui!!!! Good luck everyone!!!!! emoticon

I'm here... never really left. Took it 'easy' in November & December for the holidays, and then got right back into it on Jan. 1st. My weight loss is not going as quickly as I would like. Does it ever? Although I have reached a goal of being under 260, and am working hard at getting back there. That was major for me because I have been working on the 260's since last June. This new year I have added exercising with the Wii to my routine. I love Wii Fit and recently got My Fitness Coach too. Loving to workout. Also new this year, I've joined a TOPS group, and am now leader. I'm enjoying this alot. Purchased a new digital food scale, and am working on getting my portion control spot on.

I'm slowly, but surely keeping with the lifestyle. Some days are better than others.

I am still here and though not going as strong as I did in the begining I am still moving. This has got to be one of the best places to come. I could not have gotten as far as I have without SP and everyone here.

Tomorrow is a new month and with the weather getting better I will once again be out walking more. In the begining I would walk miles durning the day but I am back to work and that changes things a bit so I will have to adjust my walking habits. I did get out and walk a few days ago when the weather was really nice and found that it was not as easy as it was last year. That treadmill that I wanted to get (but did not due to DH's illness) would have come in real handy keeping my endurance up. So I will just have to start again and build it back up!

Hang in there!! I have lost the same 20 lbs at least 5 times over!!! I am back up over 200 once again, each time I swear I won't let happen, but somehow that 20 lbs keeps coming back!!! I must resolve to give up that four-letter word "diet" and just realize it is time for lifestyle changes and new eating habits!!! Good Luck you can do it! And so can I with the help of sparkpeople like you!!!

Have hit a lot of highs and lows along the way but I am still hanging in there!! Stressful time of year!!
Work at accounting firm. Trying to get back on track!! Trying to remember I am too blessed to be stressed!!!

After a seven month hiatus, I'm back! I started out great and lost 28 lbs, all of which I gained during pregnancy. Once I lost most of the weight, I was naive enough to think I wouldn't need to work so hard at the rest. Bah! Then, I went back to work, which made finding time for exercise a little harder. Then, winter came and things got busy at work and finding time for exercise got a lot harder! Finding time to pack healthy lunches and plan supper also got a lot harder and I fell into this terrible routine of too much takeout and quick snacking. To my surprise, it's only cost me to gain back six pounds. Now that spring has finally arrived (though you'd never say it looking out my window!) I think it's time I take charge of this situation. Of course, that means becoming active on SparkPeople again!

My goal is to get back to my personal healthy weight of 145 pounds.

I'm still here. Still tracking most meals/snacks and exercising regularly. I'd hit another plateau and FINALLY figured out why...

When adding hikes into my fitness tracker, Sparkpeople warned me (with that red text) I'd burned too many more calories than I'd planned to. The text said my calories wouldn't be automatically adjusted and suggested I go manually adjust my intended weekly caloric burn. So I did and that INcreased my calories, accordingly.

However, I recently realized my goal date needed to be adjusted (thanks to several plateaus)... So I tried to change it to the end May - to which Sparkpeople said that wasn't a realistic goal date for amt. of weight I have left to lose, and suggested I choose another date.

I then chose the end of August and noticed that even though my weekly calorie-burn goal is the same number I'd changed it to, my calorie window was automatically corrected to lower amounts.

It was my "Aha" moment...

So if you're on a plateau and feel as if you've been doing everything that was working before, you might want re-adjust your goal date a little to make sure your caloric budget is in sync with your goal date, (Especially if you've hit multiple plateaus & increased or changed exercise since setting that goal date)!

Still active. But I gotta tell ya'll, I am not making any progress.

The only positive thing I can tell ya's is that I quit drinking and smoking and hardly ever eat meat anymore either.

I'm still active. The calorie intake is good. The exercise is more than I've done in my life. But for some reason my scale went on vacation.

Initial Goals:
1. Get back into my previous weight loss jeans.

2. Meet my fiber requirements 5 days a week.

Now that I am finally exercising for the first time in 23 years I have decided to set these weekly exercise goals.

1. Walk or go to the gym 3 - 4 days a week.
2. Strength training 2 - 3 times a week

I'm back to using SP regularly after taking about a 9 month break. Unfortunately, I gained quite a bit of weight back during that time period. emoticon

But I am ready to go again, and I am confident that I'm going to make it to the finish line this time!

I am still here! It's been very hard trying to eat right with Hubby's medical issue and the diet he is on ( cooking 2 different meals is VERY time consuming)but I am hanging in there.

The weather is starting to improve so I will be able to get out and walk and that will be a big plus!

I'm still here! Have 3 more pounds to go to my goal weight. Have had a wicked cold for the past week or two, so haven't exercised as much as I should. I'm now babysitting my grandkids for a few days, so am getting a different kind of exercise! I plan to be with SP for a long, long time! emoticon

I am still here. I am so wound up with the Cleveland Team that I have a tendency to put the others on the back burner. Don't think I have forgotten about all of you I haven't. My weight loss is slower than I had hoped for but I have found that I am not denying myself the things I like. So that's a good thing. I will take it anyway I can get it.

Hello! I am still here and doing ok. I have definitely hit some sort of plateau that I have been trying to work out of for a few months now. I am pretty constant in my eating, and exercise pretty regularly. I think I need to take a step back, really look at everything I am doing and reevaluate. I probably need to shake things up a bit. Hopefully with the warmer weather on the way I will be able to get outside and walk more to supplement all of the other exercise that I am doing.

I hope everyone else is doing great!

I'm still here- though not nearly as active as I once was... I am doing ok with the maitenance of my weight, but not so well with the actual losing- It seems I am at a point that whether I eat well and work out, or do nothing I yeild the same results...

How are you doing? What are your accomplishments and challenges? How do you feel about what you are doing?

Last week I had the flu and my energy level is still low. I lost interest in exercising when we had a cold spell and have to really push myself to do it now. Diet is ok. I had let extra calories sneak in - blue cheese and cranberries in salad, creamy salad dressings, a glass of red wine, but they are gone. I will not stop dieting and exercising, but at times I am frustrated with such slow weight loss. I have to remember my weight is trending in the right direction and I just have to keep working on it (not trying, working!)

I am glad to see you when we get together on the monthly thread and update each other on how we are doing.
