I have only really began 3 weeks ago and have already lost 3 pds which is not much but it is 1 pd a week which is fine with me. I have another 36 pds to go and I will definitely shed those pds. If I continue to loose 1 pd a week by the Spring time I will have lost half of my weight, so by the summer I should have lost it all.I am very determind as this has been my highest I have ever weighed in my life, and never again. Now I am so aware of what and how much I am eating. I eat everything but in proportion. I only have bread once a day and no more junk food. I do not deprive myself of what I want to eat and I usually give myself 1 day a week to have a little more such as if I am out and going to Tim Hortons for a coffee I will have my favorite , my chocolate chip muffin.

I continue doing my exercises , I love dancing and so I will put on my music and away I go for a good 25 minutes and I also have a walking video by Leslie Sanon which I also do for about the same amount of time. I don't push myself to do this 5 days a week but I do not do it less than 3 times a week.

Hey there...

Sunday was my one year Spark Anniversary and I have lost a total of 64#s so far... amazing!

I am reaching for another 40#s or so and then we'll see where I am at and how I feel!

It is also my anniversary this week, I have lost about 15 lbs. I realized today that I need to kick it in gear and continue on my quest to get healthy this year and lose about 25 more lbs!!!

hi!
Im still kicking around and trying to be healthy!!! My anniversay day was on the 23rd, but i was too busy to weight myself or come oneline.sooooooooo i'm a few days late.... but i weighed myself this morning and i'm 132 pounds!!! IN ONE YEAR I'VE LOST 22 POUNDS!!! YAH!!! only 17 more pounds to go to get to my goal!! I know it's going to be hard work but i'm still trying! and that's what matters the most! :D

I hope everyone else is doing just as well! or better!

i am still here walking more and running some. trying to keep up with the kids my 2 yr is getting fast and loves to run. november and december were hard months for my family. we are getting back on track and things are settling down and getting back to normal.2009 is a new year and it is time for change. i am shooting for the stars and reaching for the moon.

I'm back once again. December was very bad to me. I put on about 20 lbs. Work was very stressful. And there were just too many homemade cookies and treats available. So I joined a weightloss challenge that offically began Jan 16. The challenge is to lose 20% of your weight by April 10. If you meet this challenge you go into a pool. If you keep the weight off until May 8 you get to split the pot. So I'm hoping I can meet this challenge.

Initial Goals:
1. Get back into my previous weight loss jeans.

2. Meet my fiber requirements 5 days a week.

Now that I am finally exercising for the first time in 23 years I have decided to set these weekly exercise goals.

1. Walk or go to the gym 3 - 4 days a week.
2. Strength training 2 - 3 times a week

I'm back! Things got pretty tough last spring after I joined, with Mom's health deteriorating fast. She passed in June, and I'm just now getting my feet back on the ground after 6 1/2 difficult years. My daughter (in VA) and I (in FL) recommitted to SP last Tuesday and I've already lost 4 lbs! I plan to lose 50 before I turn 60 at the end of August. This is MY YEAR! Sounds like there are a lot of us in the same boat...restarting!

I have been active to SP but not my diet. I lost 31 pounds in 2008. I had hope to be closing in my goal weight but like others I took a break. I am having a rough time getting back on track but I am making a doctors appointment to check a few things out. Could br PART of the problem. Menopause, possible thyroid and diabetes issues could be the other.

I'm still here, well actually, haven't been in awhile but trying to start over. Of the 19 lbs that I lost between Jan and April, I've gained 13 back. '08 was one of the roughest years my family has ever had. I've updated my sparkpage w/ some of '08's events and recontacted some spark friends to try and help me get back on track. I've only worked out 1x this month but I'm pushing to get back on track!!

I'm still here and starting basically from scratch. Haven't gained any weight, but I also really haven't lost any. Maybe a few pounds. The only thing that really saved me was I try to walk alot and I keep up with SP. So here's to a more productive 2009!

I am here too. I admit I sorta dropped out last summer, but am now back and paying good attention. My weight fluctuated most around the holidays as it always seems too. I never really dropped the exercising, just was not watching my food intake. And it is a delicate balance as we all know. Here's to a great 2009. My goal this year is to become "fit" and not get bogged down by what the scale says. Good Luck to all.

I'm still here! I lost 25 lbs last year, then took a "break" and gained back 15. Oh well, at least I didn't gain it all back, and I learned from the experience! I'm back on track now though. Here's to a great year!

im jumping back on track to a healthier me. i had to jump off for awhile with a suprise pregnancy which lead to my beautiful daughter who was born on 12/13. i got up to 264 while pregnant and lost 16lbs right afterwards. I havent been cleared yet to start working out again, but i started eating healthier as of this past monday and have already lost 4lbs. My new goals this year is to lose 10lbs a month, which i think is totally achievable and im excited to do it!

I am activly using the program, and have referred it to many people who ask "What are you doing?" I have lost about 48lbs, and have had periods where I have stalled (like the last two months) but I would like to take off another 25lbs, so I will continue on the program. I will admit I don't do a lot of exercise, so I am sure that would help. This has been the most sucessful weight loss program I have ever used!

Better late than never, right?! I am still here - and very active on Sparks... apparently just not so much here on this team somehow?! Sorry about that?! LOL!?

To date - I have lost a total of 62#s and lots of inches... I am pleased with my success so far! At times last year, I would get frustrated with how slowly it was coming off - but I know it is best really this way - and it will last! So - I am plugging along and sparking on!

I, too, finally jumped in to do one of the Challenge Bootcamps - I am actually really enjoying it! I am active on a few teams and lead a few teams too... so Sparks is a daily part of my life... I love it!

Hi there!! I have lost and kept off 25 lbs. in the last year, we have a week to go and I may add to the decline in weight....wouldn't that be great! I have had a few "slow downs " but have kept going. I have a couple of teams I am active on and have made some good friends and love the encouragement and support of everyone. Sometimes it is wonderful to be an encourager too! SP has been a daily part of my life. The tools are sometimes hard to keep up with but they have saved the day many times!! Deep up the Spark!! I am still active but just not much time for the computer. I have been away from the work outs but am starting back on the 13th with kickboxing. Today I will be doing cardio, the treadmill.
During the holidays I did not gain any weight which is great for me. Now I just need to get more active again so I can start on the downward slope again.

Still here! I've been hovereing around the 197-205 range for MONTHS now, and am so ready to push on through to a healthier me!!

The last couple of months have been full of way more dedication and responsible habits than all of last year, I'm confident that this year I can make it to my goal.

Sure, I thought I'd be at my goal weight by last November, and I'm not happy it's taking me so long, but better late than never!!!

If there were no rain, there could be no rainbows!

I'd like to be thin... but I like food better!

I'm still here and going strong! I've lost 25 lbs so far and I was able to get into my black dress for my parents anniversary party. It felt wonderful!!!
My self esteem is up and it seems like I have more energy and I look forward to working out.

Hi Team, I'm still active. Its fun working for the next little trophy. I gained a couple of pounds during the holidays but trying to continue maintaining and lose about another 5 pounds. emoticon
Way to Go Team, I'm happy to see everyone after our first year.

I told my girls Goodnight one night, and all but one was gone to heaven, by the next morning !
We never stop missing them, even though it has been 41 years this year.

I am still here. My total weight loss on spark people is close to 30 pounds. Total weight loss from the beginning is close to 90 pounds.

Currently, I am involved in the New You Bootcamp to barrel into a momentum of success.

I do come to this board occassionally, but am more involved in other boards daily. I would come here more if there were some challenges to keep me hooked.

2009 is going to be the year I reach my goal weight.

I'm still here!! In my year with SP I have:
Lost 60 pounds!
Reversed diabetes!
Learned to love exercise!
Had my doctor shake my hand and congratulate me!
Had people ask ME for advice!
Gained so much self confidence
Started a new job with my new-found energy
The list goes on and on....

Goals for 2009:
Lose 20-30 pounds
Keep diabetes under control with diet and exercise
Try 1 new SP recipe every week
Remain active in SP
Try a new physical activity - I think snowshoeing

I know I can achieve all of these goals!

My advice: Stick with the program - it works! Use the teams and message boards for motivation. Don't beat yourself up when you slip up - just get back on track.

Down 60 pounds this year. What an awesome feeling.

Half-way there now.

Hope to hit it by the end of this year.

I love the comments from people. My daughter told me she hadn't seen me this mobile in a long, long time.

I pretty much fell off the wagon the beginning of summer and then tried to do it again on my own without SP! I have failed so here I am again back on here determined to make it work this time!!

I havent been very active since October, too busy gaining 15lbs! So I am back, trying to be healthier! Last year I lost 45lbs on SP, this year my goal is to lose the 15, then maintain the healthy lifestyle. Oh, and not go wild with the sweets when next Christmas comes around!!!!

Hey, team! I am still here! I put on a few pounds over the holidays. I had some major struggles in December with my eating. I am here and ready to continue the downward progress on the scale, though. Still here! I am not where I had hoped to be at this point but am grateful for the lbs I have lost so far. Didn't do too well over the holidays but am once again strong, determined and ready to rock & roll.

I plan to powerwalk four 1/2 marathons in 2009! Let's Go Team - We can do this!!

I am here too. I am active on and off. These few days I am getting back to regular tracking again. Love it. It makes me feel so in control. Hope to lose a few more kilos this year and tone my body.

2011 is the year! I enjoy being trim, fit, healthy and bursting with energy! :)

I don't know if I can say "still" active since I've been largely MIA since May or June...how about "I'm active AGAIN"?

My goals for this year, both health-related and other:
- Lose 30-40 more pounds to put me at 110 or 120 (final number to be determined after consult with doctor)
- Run at least one 5K (my aunts and I are planning a trip to Maine to participate in one later this year)
- Pay off all my credit cards (should be done by the end of FEBRUARY!) and then pay off the money I borrowed from my mother (July!)
- Apply to graduate school for Fall 2010
- After reaching goal weight, consult with surgeon about breast reduction (they don't fluctuate with my weight, but just in case...I don't want a surgery that expensive messed up by subsequent weight loss)

This month, I'm hoping to:
- be back down to 145 (where I was when I went on hiatus) by the end of the month
- finish the C25K program by the end of the month

Advice? Never say never, and never say quit.

I quit SP after a couple of weeks, came back, lost a bit, then stalled. I'm still at it though and trying to jump start the weight loss with the SP Boot Camp. I can say with SP's help I have become a runner, I enjoy working out and in 2009 I plan to really take my new fitness to the next level! I had a 5K this morning and I'm ending the month with another. I am also registering for a 10K to put me on my way to my annual goal of a sprint triathlon and a 1/2 marathon.

My goals for this month is to hopefully get below 140.

Advice?? Don't ever think you can't do it unless you give it your best and honest try!

I too am still here! I can't believe that it is 2009 already. Almost a whole year of SP, I have had some slow time of losing, but am ready to get back on track and lose more, I've changed my goal to lose about 6 pounds more than I originally wanted!

I'm still here! I'm 4 lbs away from my original goal (140lbs) and depending on how I look, my next goal will be 135 lbs, 130 lbs, and stop until I feel comfortable with myself. For my height I can go down as low as 120 but I don't want to look like a stick either.
I plan to meet all of my goals this year. I'm also getting married in July or August.
This is going to be a great year!

Hi Team. We have our one year anniversary coming up. How are you doing? What are you plans for this year? What are you goals for this month? What advice do you have for your team members?

When I did my Jan. 1 weigh in I was pleased improvement over last year. I am looking forward to dieting and exercising to lose more weight this year and increase my level of physical fitness.
