I'm still here, but have changed my focus. I tried desperately to focus on my weight loss goals, but just wasn't able to stay on track. SO, I've decided to focus on more concrete goals with specific dates that I can't fudge. I've decided to sign up to run the Jingle Bell Run 5K in December and will find more ways after that to work on my health. I'm well on my way!

I am still here just a little low key. My schedule has got me running with all the projects needing to get done before winter.
I am still working out 4-6 days a week from 15min to 90min a day. I do kickboxing, walking, treadmill, circuits, and the stabilizer ball.
I have maintained the weight loss but have not pushed passed the plateau since I got on it. The inches that I have lost have increased and I am toning up pretty good.
I am hoping that when my schedule slows down for the winter I can concentrate on the calorie intake with a little more dedication.

I'm still here. I've gained a couple lbs of what I lost because my treadmill broke down but I recently joined a gym. Hopefully I can get back on track with that. If that doesn't work I'll just have to get another treadmill. I just feel uncomfortable having a lot people around that are smaller than me.

I'm still here. I lost focus over the summer. I thought it would be easier with all the farmers markets & local grown produce. NOT! I gained and lost the same 6 pounds since June. Just started Bally's so I am hoping for a miracle.

ICAN, have you seen a nutritionist?? It might be what your eating, or sodium. It's worth checking into if insurance covers it or the price isn't too high (we have them where I work, so I know our insurance covers it since they are employed by the insurance company)

I have been "away" from the site for many months. However, have managed to do ok. Had a dial up, now have wireless so that will make a big difference. I love the challenges, my last was beach body and it did some good things. I continued it to about August, then vacations, school, etc...got in the way. I will be back and to all...keep up the good work.

Don't give up, you have to keep pushing. Sometimes discouragement come and we must over come. The weight will come off. Everyday I journal on sparkpeople and I have a notebook where I keep track food & activity. I also put quotes in them whenever I need a picker upper. My favorite quote is about progress:

"When you stand still, you reject the struggle, and you refuse to change and grow. Ultimately, you reject fulfillment, happiness, the dance for joy and everythinkg else that is eternally good." ~ Matthew Kelly

Keep moving and don't give up.

Don't know what to say.... I have been stuck to the same weight did not give up; tried to check with my Dr to see if anything is wrong with me but nothing was found! Joined gym w/ a personal trainer but no result still --Should I just accept the fact that I am predetemined to be big and forget about working toward a healthy weight?? I tried it all (but starving myself --only this time bz I tried that before when I was at the crazy age...)

Those who are losing, you should be very proud of you and please keep it up!

I'm still here. I'm a little disappointed at how slowly the weight has come off and just went to a Dr to see if there is a medical reason that I'm not losing as much weight as I'd like. My best tip is just to drink your water. It's sooooo good for you!

You made a comment that you could eat all day. Well, you can if you have smaller portions! I eat 6 small meals a day (about 200 calories each) mixed with a protein and a carb. I eat about every 2-3 hours so I never feel the need to over indulge. Examples...Breakfast- Oatmeal and 3 egg whites scrambeled. Snack- 1/2 Cup Cottage cheese with a small amount of fruit. Lunch-Turkey on high fiber whole wheat bread and an apple or a handful of carrots. Snack- apple and string cheese. Dinner- salmon, broccoli, and brown rice. snack-protein shake.
I feel like I'm never hungry by eating this way. emoticon

I am still here as well. But I keep falling off track too. I like to drink on the weekend, and I think that is my greates downfall. I gave up meat about a month ago. Except for fresh fish. And while my weight has not reduced, my body fat has gone from 31% to 27.4%. It doesn't sound like much....but it is. Now if I could just find something to do on the weekend besides drink. It's kinda tough. I don't really fit in in my area. But I would like to be down to 130 by my birthday in March. Hope the rest of you are doing better!

I am still here and trying. I have fell off the wagon a bit again, but not as badly as before! I realize that I need to make this change for life, but my stomach is having a hard time wrapping itself around this idea. If given the chance, I would eat all day! I am much better than in the past and I guess that is a step forward. This process is taking me a lot longer that I had planned and I think that is also getting me down. One day I will get there!

I'm still here! I've been doing all the right things...food recording, good choices, working out several days a week. The scale continues to be a frustration, but I'm much stronger than I used to be. Lots of muscle showing! Everybody says that I shouldn't look at the scale because muscle weighs more than fat, but my clothes are still tight. I thought I'd be at my 120 goal by now, but I'm still at the 130 that I started with back in January. It's kind of confusing really. I'm not giving up though!!! emoticon

I'm still here - still working at this - tracking my food, making smart choices and exercising 5-6 days a week. I seem to plateau every few lbs (gain/lose the same 2-3 lbs multiple times before reaching a lower number on the scale) but I'm not giving up & not beating myself up because I know it's just all part of the journey to success.

Now that the snakes are hibernating again, I've started hiking again so while my caloric needs have gone up, I'm hoping the change will once again limit the number of plateaus I experience for awhile.

I'm still chugging along. I workout everyday. I lose about a pound a week. Since I've started my weight loss adventure I've lost 72 lbs. I feel fantastic and I am looking forward to loosing the other 30 lbs. that I want to lose. I just turned 40 last Saturday so my goal for the next year is to get the rest of my weight off and to keep it off. Good luck to everyone.

Well I'm still active on SP, but I've been off the message boards for a couple of months. I'm pregnant and due March 1 so obviously the scale is going up instead of staying the same or going down, lol. I've been frequenting SP's sister site, BabyFit. Keep up the good work everyone!

I'm still kickin! Weight loss is slow, averaging about .75 lbs a week. Seems like I am losing the same 5 lbs over and over again lately. This year since joining spark people in January, I've lost between 25 - 30, depending on the day. Total since last year, is around 45, trying hard to get to that 50 lb mark. I've come very close a couple of times, but have yet to actually reach there.

My best tip is to keep track of everything you eat. I have lots of charts and graphs of my progress, so that when times are tough, I look back and see my overall success, and I feel good again.

What have I been up to recently - well - rode my bike 75 miles last Saturday - Ran 20 miles yesterday - I am running the Marine Corps Marathon in two weeks, and the following week I am hopefully riding another 75 miler the first Saturday in November.... and running a half marathon the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Still here. Haven't made any progress lately, but I still log in pretty much every day. Just not super active on this team these days.

I agree with you STEFIPOP. Spending time here is like hearing the same song over and over again, after a while you are humming with it. I am spending more time walking now, so less time on SP which is a good thing.

Oh, a great tip, is to follow the Spark Plan. Also, get on here, and be active. The more active people are here on SP, the better they stick to the plan. That's not set in stone or anything, but I do notice a correlation in myself. The more I post and stay active in my teams, the better I am at sticking to plan.

Still here and active. Having a harder time staying under the 300 mark, but have noticed big changes in my body and energy levels. It is tough since I work full time (high stress job), go to school, and work a second job. But am getting there slowly, at a snail's pace, but still getting there and no matter what happens to the weight, as long as I am happier and healthier, all is good.

good job team!! we are making a lifestyle change and that does take time, patience and commitment. the great thing is that even though we slow down a bit, we are back on track and going strong. i am proud of everyone.

I am so proud of all of us who are still here. It's been a lot of commitment to keep going month after month.

My weight hadn't changed for 6 months, but this week I just broke 210. My weight had been on yoyo, and I was really struggling in Sept. Then I started walking 4 miles daily and stopped strength training for awhile to make the time to walk. At this time I looking at doing the Alternate Day Diet for a couple of weeks, but still reading online about it.

My best tip - when you are doing well, take the time to write down your routine, exercise, menu and grocery list. These are your success factors. Keep the list where you will see it often, and you won't have to look for it when you really need it.

We can do it!!!

i am still active, i have lost 85 lbs to date, since christmas.

my best tip is... make a plan, for success and one for failure... when you go off the "wagon" make sure you have a plan in place to get right back on track so you won't get discouraged and will continue on.
