I'm pleased to say I've lost 26 pounds, but frankly I would have liked to have all my excess weight gone by now. I've fallen of the wagon more than once, and luckily it hasn't caused me to gain back the weight I've lost. I need inspiration to get the last twenty pounds off, some of which I got by watching old home movies last night (was I really that skinny?). Any advice to help me suck it up and finish the job would be more than appreciated.

My goal is to get back to my personal healthy weight of 145 pounds.

6 months?

I fell off the wagon, and my weight is slowly creeping up.
Today is my 'start again' day.

I question whether I should totally start over, or just pick up where I left off?
The idea is to go right back to basics, and would that be easiest if I rejoin?

It doesn't have to be done perfect, it just has to be done.

I'm still visiting the site on most days and keeping track of my exercise--I find that filling in my daily cardio keeps me motivated to do something physical most days. I am no longer tracking my diet but I'm eating well and am maintaining my weight loss since May. Still not consistent with strength training but I've been making a little progress over the last couple of weeks.

I haven't lost as much weight as I wanted to at this point, but I've lost 30 lb, 5 inches off my waist and hips and 4 inches from my thighs.
I still have 11 lb to reach my goal of 140.

first time I've posted... dissapointed that I haven't seen more results but can't complain so much because I haven't continuously put the effort that is needed... only lost 12 lbs in 6 months... but lost 4 inches off my waist and went from a size 14 to a 10. I was working out 4x a week... life got hectic... work.. family... blah! Constantly concious of what I eat... Today is my first day back on the wagon... wish me luck!

I have been at the same weight since the 4th of July. I think I am getting comfortable too. I found myself overeating for the first time since starting yesterday - I was well over 2500 calories yesterday and today was a struggle just to complete 30 minutes of cardio.

Reading everyone's post is sure helpful, I know that I am not alone. I will try harder tomorrow!

Hi everyone, still struggling along. I am finding the summer really tough, sort of living out of a suitcase and not much computer time. I wanted to loose 35 to 40 lbs. but in the last two months have managed to loose one for a total of 35 - 36 lbs. I am happy with that and glad that I am maintaining. I will give it a real push in September again and hopefully melt off those last few pounds.

Good luck everyone.

I am still here but have gained some weight back due to DH falling ill and spending time in the hospital. 5 days there with him and not eating right will take it's toll. But I am getting back on track. I have lost about 30 pounds and wish it was more but I also look at the succees that the 30# bring!

Sp has to be the greatest thing for all of us and one I will keep active in.

Well at the 6 month mark I've lost just about 38 pounds. It's not anywhere near where I thought I'd be by this point (my 6 month goal when I started was to lose 50lb), but I'm really happy with my successes elsewhere.

June and July have been VERRY dissapointing on the scale, but equally if not more exciting in the exercise department. June, in all honesty, was a total lack of consistancy, but then July has seen a minimum of 6000 calories burned every week. Well until this week, but I've been very sick.

This is a hard week for me, because it's the last week of the second month in a row that I thought for sure would see me in onederland, and I've really, truely been giving it all I've got.

BUT I HAVE lost 9 inches off my waist as of the first of July, and I'm hoping tomorrow's measurements will make that 10! I've started running, and more importantly, I've started to enjoy running. It's no longer a struggle for me to make exercise a part of my day, and food is no problem 90% of the time. The improvements in me as a healtheir person really overshadow what the scale has to say, I just have to keep reminding myself!

If there were no rain, there could be no rainbows!

I'd like to be thin... but I like food better!

Congrats to you all for your great losses!
If you're finding it hard to keep up with the exercise, try find something you enjoy doing so you WANT to do it and its not such a chore.

If you don't like exercising alone I've seen in gyms peopel leave a message with recpetion or one of the trainers that they are looking for a buddy an dthey hook them up. Not in a gym? Try joinign a team or group to keep you company and accountable.

I also have been struggling lately. I am doing my daily walking, but have to get back into the strength exercises instead of just the cardio.
I still want to lose some more weight, but it has been a struggle this past month. Right now I have been maintaining, gaining a 1 or 2 then losing, but staying in the same range at least.
I hope to get more motivated soon. We need a good challenge to help us. I seem to do better with the challenges. emoticon

This 6 months check-in finds me struggling to regain focus! emoticon My problem is working out alone. I don't like going to the gym alone. My daughter is getting ready for college so I've lost my work-out buddy. I refuse to give up but I must get up and get moving! emoticon HELP!

I am doing well, it has been a little slower this summer with vacations and stuff, but I am not letting it get me down. I am trying to just focus on doing my best with the circumstances, once I get my daughter off to college and get in a normal routine again I know that I can reach my goal by Oct., and who knows maybe I can even do more but my main focus is the first 39 lbs. I have lost 26 lbs. and lots of inches. I look better than I have in years and feel better too. I am so grateful that I found SP, it has made a world of difference in all aspects of my life.

wow 70#s!!! Congrats!

I have the same problem with exercise... I WANT to do it, but end up NEVER doing it. I know I should just do it and that will kick start losing again, but I just don't feel the motivation... I'm concerned that I will end up settling, and I don't want that!

I'm sticking with it, but definitely losing focus- I think, like Ivy, that I amy just be getting comfy with where I am at... I have lost 70 pounds total- And am the smallest I think I have been in 15 years. Eating isn't so much my problem as working out. I go for regular walks now, but getting to the gym is a chore, and I am VERY inconsistent with it...

Well.....sometimes I wonder if our bodies tell us when we can't lose more or if it is just that magical age of 51? I can't seem to get under 120 now and I am only 5'4" just under actually. Last week, I worked even harder and gained 2 pounds...go figure?! Attitude is everything and I won't give up to reach my goal of 110. Thanks to our great team leader NIAM...you are awesome!!!! Nancy

I've been fairly successful... Not quite where I want to be, and probably getting too comfortable with where I am.
