I have visited that a couple of times and the adjustments were made. My calories consumption has increased but so has the out put. It took a little bit to adjust my menu to meet the new ranges. Since the change I have had difficulty regulating my schedule to meet everything. This is my busiest time of the year and the eating because of this is out of sorts but I am still working on it. I guess if I don't gain anything and I maintain during this time, I will eventually beat the plateau.

Somewhere on SP I read that every 15 pounds or so, you need to go back to your Start page and readjust your calories. Act like you are going to change your goal, and just save it. It will change your calorie range to fit your new weight. If you haven't done that, it very well may be your culprit! Good luck!

I've only lost a 1/2 a lb the past 2 week. Hopefully this week will be better.

Initial Goals:
1. Get back into my previous weight loss jeans.

2. Meet my fiber requirements 5 days a week.

Now that I am finally exercising for the first time in 23 years I have decided to set these weekly exercise goals.

1. Walk or go to the gym 3 - 4 days a week.
2. Strength training 2 - 3 times a week

I've posted this elsewhere so, sorry to those who have read it already. I have just broken one and what I suggest is basically recommiting.
1. Make sure you get your 5 servings of fruits and veggies. Add them into your tracker at the beginning of the day and then work from there.
2. Drink plenty of water!! I carry a gallon of water and try to drink one a day.
3. Stay in ranges for your calories, carbs and protein.
4. Plan your food for the day before you begin eating.

I stayed at a plateau for 3 months, and I was really working hard. I wasn't tracking my food and we did eat out a little more than usual so that probably did not help. I finally started to move again.
The only good thing about the plateau was it kept me from gaining weight. I stayed within the same 3 pounds.

I went nearly three weeks in March without the scale moving. I uped my workouts and decreased my calories and it started moving again. Personally, I think it would have happend regardless.

And of course, once every month I go a week without losing any weight..... I just keep in mind that it will come off the next week instead.

I had this same problem, hit a plateau and was there for weeks. I ended up doing NIAMCHAS sparkpeople challenge called calorie deficit, and that got the scale moving again too. I seem to be at another plateau and have joined the Beach Body Bootcamp hoping that will move me on. Typically, for me, it is an exercise change or a calorie change that gets things going again. Don't get discouraged, you are doing the right things by taking care of yourself and slow and steady wins the race. Best of Luck!

my dr explained to me that a plateau is your body catching up to the weight loss. so look at it as a good thing. just keep doing what you know you need to do.

it is easy to give up during plateaus... i lost 25 lbs pretty quick, after that my blood pressure went up, something else happened and actually the plateau was a godsend for my body to level itself off. also as you eat healthier your body needs to adjust the changes.

good luck and you will do great!!

I find that throwing in a nice binge day (food-wise, but still exercising) followed by a couple days at the bottom of my ranges with plenty of exercises really gets the scale moving.

If there were no rain, there could be no rainbows!

I'd like to be thin... but I like food better!

I switch my exercising routines every 3 or 4 weeks but I still stay in my calorie range so I will try to increase that a little bit and then go back.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I have had to go through this once and no I am on another one or so it seems. I change up my exercise routine and "bump" up the calories for a day and then go back to range. That helps.

Having a difficult time with the plateaus. I have changed and or added different things to my workouts but still seem to be at a standstill. I try to rotate my workouts so as not to get in a rut but the plateaus still seem to hit.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
