I was doing pretty good for the last month, but the last couple days my sweet tooth has taken over. I have tried to keep on my exercising though.

Slow going on this end - I was down as low as 216 one day and then back up again -I try not to get too frustrated. I really need to find time to get back into tracking my eating!! So I guess I haven't totally fallen off the wagon but I'm definately need to re-establish my seat!!

I'm with the "fell off the wagon" crowd. I was doing well for a month just monitoring calories and eating but -- due to surgeries, etc. I was unable to really exercise much. After not seeing the weight budget AT ALL in a month (we're talking a pound!) I got discouraged.

After second surgery now and doc just released me to walk. Hurray! I am trying to CRAWL back onto the wagon. Seeing some of you make such great progress is SO encouraging. I really REALLY do want to make this happen! I think exercise is key for me so hopefully I will start seeing some results soon. Crossing my fingers.

Well, I was doing good for a while and then I had some bad stuff happen and I got off track. I am back on it. I won't make my goal by my birthday but I have revised my goal.

I got to a great start when I first joined up but then it all went downhill for me at the end of March. I have fallen off the bandwagon big time. But now I'm picking myself up and starting all over again. I have not lost that much weight since joining due to my PCOS and the fact that I fell off the bandwagon. I'm changing that now or shall I say I changed that as of May 8th.

Get Done - I feel like you, I will start each day new. I am reading these posts of 10, 15, 20 pounds and I think How? How? I've worked out almost every day for a month and have religiously tracked my meals. And I have lost 2 pounds. I have noticed my pants are looser in the hips and thighs, but my middle (the part that really bothers me) is about the same.

I know that one day will be my big push. I am taking it one day at a time.

late to post but over all down 10-13 lbs depending on the day- i still tend to go up a bit on the weekends but my highs are lower and my lows are slowly moving down. I feel like I'm making progress overall and the commitment is becoming a habit!!! emoticon
oh yeah - i'd be thinking I hit the 200 mark on my way up the scale about 1& 1/2 years ago - turns out based on a weigh- in at Curves in 9/2005 I have been over 200 for at least 2 1/2 years- Been here for a long time - it's gonna take a while to get back down!! But I'm up for the challenge and in it for the long hauL! emoticon

I'm late on this, but I feel I should check in. On the actual 2 month check in I was down 8 pounds. Unfortunately I have gained 3 pounds. It is my fault. I fell into a bit of a slump for awhile, but now I am getting back on track!

Congrats everyone! The progress is so awesome!

I have to admit...I didn't take my weight loss very serious for the first month or month and a half. Then, I slowly started tracking my meals, challenging myself to drink all of my water, and adding more activities to my routine. Before I knew it, I was doing it! I mean, the kids and I rode our bikes for almost 90 minutes today! A few months ago I didn't even own a bike. That alone is a big accomplishment for me.

I am down just over fifteen pounds, really just over the last 2-3 weeks. I am having fun and really enjoy all of my new friends @ SP. So many of you have motivated me in ways that have brought me to this point.

Thanks everyone and keep up the good work!! We can do it!

I missed posting on the two month mark, but I was down 30lbs in the two months. Made it down another 3lbs since then, so I'm on my way for more progress in this third month.

It's a little more than two months now, but I have lost 10 pounds. I was hoping to be down more, but I'm trying to be happy with the 10 pounds. I know I've added muscles and lost inches, so it's all good.

Well, in two months I have lost 16 pounds! And while I know that is terrific, I know it could be better. Exercising is my downfall! Now that the weather is getting better, maybe it will be a little easier to be active again.

Good job to all who have posted their progress! Accountability is what helps keep me on track.

The good news is that I'm down 15 lbs since 1/24...yea! The bad news is I know it could be more but I've been very inconsistent in the past month. I'm having computer problems and I'm not tracking as I should. Had a few days of eating "whatever" and regretted it. I have stayed pretty consistent w/ my exercise and water...don't want to quit but frustrated w/ my waning commitment. I'm working on getting myself back on track.

I am excited to announce that I have gotten rid of all the "baby" weight. I weigh exactly the same as I did when I found out I was pregnant. However, I still have more weight to remove, I had to gain weight to concieve. I'm getting bad about tracking my calories,(I was spending too much time on the computer and letting things slide) but still mindful of what I eat...I have fallen off my goal line and will most likely have to adjust it again, but I am motivated that I have finally seeing weight loss (I haven't lost a single pounds until joining Spark since July...and that was just the initial water/baby weight!)

Two months already!!
That doesn't seem right. Time flies...

I am doing excellent.
My weight loss is slow, but I have been a slow loser since I started WW 5 years ago. I have lost about 8 pounds in the 2 months. More importantly I haven't lost any motivation! I am being active, I am tracking, I am reading to learn more.
I am doing excellent!

It doesn't have to be done perfect, it just has to be done.

I'm extremely excited. I am down 19.5 lbs. Just 20.5 more lbs before I go to Disney. And 30.5 before my 43rd birthday. After that we will see where I'm at and set a new goal.

Initial Goals:
1. Get back into my previous weight loss jeans.

2. Meet my fiber requirements 5 days a week.

Now that I am finally exercising for the first time in 23 years I have decided to set these weekly exercise goals.

1. Walk or go to the gym 3 - 4 days a week.
2. Strength training 2 - 3 times a week

I am still here, still posting and still tracking my nutrition. I have a few days here and there, where I "binged" and felt so awful about it that I didn't bother to enter my foods. But that is ok, because I have jumped back on each time. I am down nearly 25 lbs since the first of January. Initially I thought I was losing weight too slow, but I had a talk with myself. I said "Self you are doing good - look at you, you are down a whole size of clothing, no longer wearing clothes so tight, you can't breath". And I added "Self, if you want to lose more and feel better, than start exercising more, instead of these occasional walks!" emoticon

So I am hanging in here and taking it one day at a time. I am going to stick with my program and my food plan today, I will let "Self" worry about tomorrow, tomorrow! emoticon

I'm doing okay. I'm down about 10 pounds total, but was hoping to be down 15 by the end of this month. I'm not thinking it will happen as I've gone up a couple pounds in the past couple of weeks and haven't been able to shake it. I'm hoping that starting exercising more and AF's visit being over at the end of this week will give me a good boost and get me close to my 160 goal for the end of March!

As for measurements, I really haven't noticed any progress and I think it's because I'm not being consistent with how tight the tape is each time, but I know my pants are to the point of not fitting. Similarly to Jackie the next size down isn't quite comfortable enough to wear yet either, so I've added another notch to my current belt (in a good way) and use it to hold my pants up.

As of last Wednesday I was down 27lbs. That is 10% of the weight I started with, and I am very pleased. I have a minor problem though. My pants are really loose, but when I try the next size down, [which I have at home} I cannot close the zipper or button. Its really frustrating because my pants are really loose at the hips and thighs and I'm using a belt to hold them up.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Going Crazy Here!

8 weeks, 2 days and 28lbs. lighter!
I am having a great time with spark. The site is awesome and so are the people!
Project Mayhem has been a great group and the motivation is still there. I agree with Bee- I'm convinced I finally GOT IT!
Congrats to the losers and good luck to all!

It's been slow go, but I am seeing progress, I've lost 7 pounds and over 5 inches. It's been a good program, I would much rather see slow progress than none at all, plus I am changing my eating habits.

2 mths... How time flies when you're having fun :0)
I'm 28.3lbs lighter than I was when I started and am continuing to lose. Loving it, especially all of the support. I've lived through a week away in an all inclusive resort and lost while I was away, also through Easter and still managed to lose. I'm convinced I finally GOT IT this time and am going to continue to lose.

Congrats to everyone else on their success, it's amazing to see. Can't wait for our continued check ins on our success.

All the best everyone!

Yesterday was my two month anniversary. I have lost 13.5 pounds with Sparkpeople, 26.5 since December 15, and roughly 17 inches total. I'm down two sizes in my jeans, and at least one dress size. Most of my clothes don't fit anymore. I'm wearing jeans from three years ago and a dress that hasn't fit WELL in two years is now a little loose.

As of 3/19 (last weigh-in), I have dropped 17.5 pounds on SP and 66.5 pounds since 1/10/07. I just measured inches on 2/10/08 and have not yet re-measured. I am comfortably into a size 12 and only 2.5 pounds from my goal weight. I want to continue eating well and exercising in hopes of losing that last bit and TONING this body of mine! I'm done having kids and aspire to be a HOT MAMA!!! Happy Easter everyone. Good work so far. Keep it up!

I'm down 9.6 lbs but slowing down a bit. I'm 2 lbs behind my goal thanks to a vacation, a weekend out of town and an illness that kept me from exercising. I'm at the weight where I always hit a plateau. As soon as I get past this I'll feel better. I am NOT giving up though!!

For everyone that is doing so well, way to go and keep it up. For those of you who are floundering, we all do at times.

Some days are harder than others. True motivation and committment has to come from you. It doesn't really matter which stage you are in, unless you are ready to make changes it will not work.

Believe me I speak from experience. I think I am probably a lot older than most of you and I have tried every diet known to man always looking for that miracle. Well if nothing else sparks has taught me that there are no miracles. It is a lot of hard work and committment and perseverance.

Am I Losing as much as I would have liked, no I haven't. I am down 17 lbs. as of this morning, so halfway, but you know what it is a lot better than two months ago.

I have been on a plateau for two weeks and that is frustrating. But the good news is I have not gained it back. I have maintained.

Will I continue to loose weight, yes I will, I have made a committment to myself. I finally realize that if a change is made it is because I did it. This program can help, it cannot do it for me. It is all up to me, and I am determined if it takes three times as long as I would like, I will get there.

Please do not give up. Make those life changes and for every pound you loose you will feel more fit and be a lot healthier. I am rooting for all of you.

I have done better than I originally anticipated- I am down roughly 20 pounds- And I am proud to say that as of my last weigh in- I will NEVER again weigh what my driver's license says I do. And I seem to have found some confidence in myself during the last 2 months as well- I can't remember the last time I felt this happy and good. emoticon

Lost 6 pounds in Nov. on my own. Lost 6 pounds on Fast break, gained it back in stage 2. I feel like I just wasted about 6 weeks. Now in stage 3 because I wanted a new start and I find the MOTIVATION Tools really helpful. Go into Healthy Lifestyle at the top of your SP page and click on Motivation. I wasn't using it before and It does help me. Good Luck! I have dropped 5 pounds this week. I weigh all my food and I always drink all my water. emoticon

I got off to a great start, I have totally changed the way I eat and even think about food. I drink atleast 8 glasses of water a day, (most days before starting I may have had one or two glasses of diet coke and that was about it for the whole day). I haven't had any white bread, or pasta. I have lost about 29lbs and am determined to make it 30lbs by Monday (my weigh in day). I make it to the gym atleast 4 days a week and am realy active with work on the other 3 days. And, am still here and still going strong, which I think is the most important thing.

3 lbs per week...

Wow! It seems like everyone is doing well. I too started off rocky. Things are getting better now. I'm drinking less soda and more water. My downfall is when I forget my water bottle, then I don't make my 8 glasses. I've lost 11lbs thus far. I'm hoping to loose 2lbs a week going forward. Good luck to everyone!

I joined 1-25-08. In that time I have
1-quit eating white breads and pastas, switching to whole wheat
2-increased water to hopefully 8 cups a day
3- increased fresh fruit and veggies (usually a salad for lunch everyday)
4-begun exercising AT LEAST 15 min. 3 days a week (usually much more)
5-gotten better skin
6-better digestion (no stomach upset or bloated feelings)

7- lost 19.5 pounds

Thanks SP!! This is the longest I have ever stayed on a diet. It makes sense too, so I should be able to live by this plan.

It's going slow but I think that is better as maybe I will not put all the weight back on. I have lost 17# since 1/24/08 and I am fellling better on most days. Medical problems keep me from doing some of the things I would like to try but I am in this for the long haul and not going to stop! I had thought when I first joined that the weight I had picked to be my goal was correct and I had put that as my goal. But after a few weeks I got in and figured it the way I should and found out that it was not correct. I should be 20# less for the mid range goal so I have adjusted it and am now working towards that. I am eating better most of the time, little treats help even if they are a bit higher. Just figure them into our tracker and go on from there.

This is such a great place to be and the support and motivation in our teams is the greatest. I wish everyone could know and have what we have here in SP.

Hubby still complains about some things but he is looking at the labels when he gets something for me and that in it's self is a miracle! He still gives me some crap about all the chicken but he will just have to get over it and he still trys to temp me into eating some things. I have grown to realize by reading alot of post and articules that it could be from insecure feelings that he has.

I also had a rocky start and then did really well and then over the last couple weeks have seemed to be stuck at my weight and not seeing any movement on the scale, but I am noticing my clothes fitting better. This week I made my goal of getting to the gym 4 days this week and am hoping to be able to keep that up. I'm really hoping for a great next few weeks.

I started out rocky, not really motivated, but somehow I got off my butt and tried to take this thing more seriously. And in doing so I am 12 pounds lighter then when I started. I hope one month from now I will be saying something very similar! emoticon

I am doing pretty well! I have lost 29lbs since 12/27/07 and now have a much healthier lifestyle. I do about 20 miles per week on the treadmill and strength train 3 days a week. I have more energy than I have had in years. So for now everything is going great.

Wow! It's been that long?! My weight loss hasn't been great and I need to get past that; however, with the support and challenges I have stopped eating after 7:00, continue to drink at least 64 oz. of water per day, keep the calories within range and track them daily, eat at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables. I know I'm on my way and just need to be patient, the lbs. will drop. Have a great day!
