I also struggle with my sodium and I don't eat a lot of things I consider to be salty foods. I think it is just found in everything so I am trying to watch it more, but it is a daily challenge!

See it's not hard at all. I had to figure that one out myself so I knew exactly where it was. Have fun with it!!

Oh, thank you so much FV. I hardly noticed Add A Link and hadn't gotten around to considering what it might mean. I've got to try it out.

So that's how it's done.

I am not Sagentus but I think I can help you. When you go to reply to a post there are 3 boxes / tabs above where you type in your message. Spell Check..Add A Link..& Add an Emoticon. to Add a link just click on that tab and it will allow you to type in a link that you can clock and go to. Hope this helps and is what you are asking about.

Wish I could help with this one !! My DH and I were just discussing this last night. There is sodium in everything. I just hate it. I hate it most when I haven't had enough water yet and my fingers swell up..

Sagentus, how do you get the URLs to make links? Every time I type a web address it comes out as plain text. A clickable link is much easier for others.

This is something I struggle with EVERY day! The amount of sodium in "convenience" and processed foods drives me CRAZY!

The best thing you can do is read labels, cook as much as you can yourself (so you have control) and make smart substitutions.

Have you thought about roasting the chicken yourself at home on a weekend and packaging it to take with you during the week? Batch cooking may be your answer. There are several good articles about it here on SP. Here's a good one to start: www.sparkpeople.com/resource/nutriti

Good luck!

You need to start looking for Low Sodium and the chips and pretzels are a big offender. Grilled chicked may not be to your liking but how about baked? Fresh foods are the key to cutting down the sodium levels in our diets / lifestyle changes!

Almost all processed food has salt. Don't ask me why. Soda, cereal and candy are loaded with salt and I don't see any reason why they should be. The only way to avoid salt is to avoid processed foods. You could look for low sodium products, but short of going back to the good, old fashioned days of eating fresh, natural food, you're going to encounter sodium.

Ok I am awesome on the water; good about my calories on point with my exercising routine becoming habit...but theres just too much sodium in my diet. I am appealling to all the teams I belong to with feedback. I love having my FF deli chicken for lunch b/c it is a great source of protein but its loaded!! I hate grilled ckn sandwiches and all in all not a HUGE fan of meat (think meat w/o the weird texture lol). I also like my pretzels/sun chips but in moderation. How do I cut the salt out when I never add it to food I am eating!

I find that even in my awesome pita's (whole wheat; low carb; flax seed; oat bran!!) and thomas' 100% WW english & bagel theres ALOT!?!

Help me!
