I LOVE weight watchers! It's been my "diet" of choice for many years now. I usually keep the weight off for most of the year then fall to pieces. This year I started WW but also added SP to the mix. I am sooo happy with it! I seem to be allowed more food using SP. So I calculate my WW points then log my food onto SP. I try to keep within my range for carbs, fat, and protein every day. I also watch some other numbers (calcium, sodium, fiber) and try to eat accordingly. This keeps me from wasting my points on unhealthy selections. I have now reached a weight I haven't seen in about 13 years! Everyone is different; do what works best for you!

I joined it a few times and have lost weight with it but to me I found that it was just to easy for me to just weigh in and not stay for the meeting. Now I have all the material (takes about 12 weeks to get) so I just did it at home to save the money. Right now though I am just trying to keep in my calorie range and not doing weight watchers though everytime I eat something the point value pops in my head. I probably would have joined again sooner or later had I not found Spark but now instead of using the money on WW I am saving it to spend on myself for my mini goals.

In the 12 week Biggest Loser Challenge Round 19, I WILL lose 9 pounds – which is about 1 pound per week on average.

I joined the WW at Home plan (no time to go to meetings) 8 or 9 years ago. I lost about 20 pounds with it. They all came back, and more. See, I always ate within my points limit, but I didn't learn to make the right choices, so when I stopped counting points, it all came back. There was no SP now. Knowing what I've learned here, I would probably be more sucessful, BUT I have lost 43 pounds with just the support of SP and this is free.

Good luck!

I had really good success with weight watchers in the early 80's (yes I know it dates me) but tried a few years ago and I do not like the point system. I don't know why but it just did not work for me. Maybe it left me too many choices.

I still go back to the WW program and find it the easiest for me to live with. Exercise is the key to steady weight loss and it is so important to set a realistic goal at the start. There is good on line support as well.

I joined last January I think and stuck with it for about 2.5 months until money got too tight. I lost about 25lbs so it did work for me. I liked weekly weigh-ins for the fact that they kept acountable.

Looking back on it though there were also things I didn't like. With the point system, I found it was really easy to eat food that wasn't healthy for me because I could save up points.

3 lbs per week...

I did join many years ago as a b-day present to my Hubby, I kind of packed on the pounds, I ended up losing about 20 pounds, and I liked the group support and rewards. It is probably different now, as I joined in the 90's. I know they have a point system for eating. Good luck to you! emoticon
