I have lost 26 pounds since starting SP. And the changes that I have made in my eating habits makes me believe that this is going to be permanent! Sure I slip up once in a while but it's so much easier to get back to eating right.

I have lost 15 pounds since joining SP (although my ticker doesn't show b/c I started over with a 10% weight loss goal once I had originally lost 10% of my body weight).

Went from squeezing into a 14/XL to a 10-12/M-L! My feet have also shrunk from a 10 to a 9!

13 pounds- but they are the hard kind, if you know what I mean. I fought for every one of them and will continue the fight. I have managed to curb my evening snacking too.
The greatest accomplishment is my eating habits going from 3 big meals with evening grazing, to 5 small meals with fewer grazing times- not perfect.

Initial Goals:
1. Get back into my previous weight loss jeans.

2. Meet my fiber requirements 5 days a week.

Now that I am finally exercising for the first time in 23 years I have decided to set these weekly exercise goals.

1. Walk or go to the gym 3 - 4 days a week.
2. Strength training 2 - 3 times a week

I've lost 24 pounds since I joined. I do better realizing when I want to eat because I am stressed or bored. I'm finding other things to do like workout, play with the girls, do crafts or get on Spark People.

4 pounds, with a total of 8 since I began to seriously watch my food intake. It has meant my clothes fitting much better and this site has given me an awareness of the amount and type of foods that I am consuming and as a result I am making better choices and listening to my body before I eat.

I'm down 9 lbs since joining. I dropped the first 6 lbs. quickly, then just couldn't get the scale to move. I finally measured last week, so I could track something other then that darn scale that just wouldn't move!

I measured again this week, and I was down 2 inches in the hips, and an inch and a half on each thigh!

I guess that's what I needed to get the scale moving again, because, while I couldn't get the scale to move for two weeks, once I quit stressing about the scale, it started moving again....

No trees were harmed in the production of this message,
however a huge number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

Weigh-in was this morning, down 14lbs. I had a seminar yesterday and people actually noticed that I had lost weight. That felt sooooooooo good. I have to keep a level head and continue on, but yesterday was good.

I'm down about 6 or 7 pounds, but have gained and lost 4 of those about 6 times - I've been out of town for the past week and today am starting to get serious again. I must say that I have been doing a lot of walking - 2+ miles every day - and altho my scale doesn't say much difference, my clothes do - and that feels good -

I lost 20 pounds from Jan 10th to the 29th. I got bronchitis and a sinus infection...took meds...got a bit better for about 2 weeks then got hit with the flu and I was down for the count. So...3 rounds of antibiotics later I haven't lost anymore weight. Hopefully I'm back on the right track now.

The journey is more important than the destination.

I have only lost 3 lbs now. I did lose 7 lbs but gained 4 back when i had the flu and wasn't eating or exercising. I'll lose them again in the next week or 2.

My last official weigh-in was WED, and at that time I was down a total of 16.25 pounds. emoticon
As for other improvements- I find that cravings are easier to ignore, and when I want to snack I am actually drawn to healthier choices. I am also having a hard time getting my clothes to not fall off. Seems like a silly thing to complain about, but as a single mom, I can't afford to buy enough new clothes to get thru the week. Most of my stuff is years old. I did get a few pairs of clearence pants for work and a really cute top tho- 2 sizes down from my older stuff!! emoticon

I love 4 pounds this month. Which is really good for me since I love food so much!

I have found that I dont feel as bloated throughout the week because I am working out on something everday and I feel SO much better! I am still not sleeping better but during the day I feel much better.

I am drinkg a lot of water more than usual and NO soday. Maybe one a week.

5 lbs. It's a little harder to lose with all the sugar lows I've experience. Other improvements are some muscle toning and lowering of insulin.

If it is to be, it's up to me.

lol, asti :)... 8 pounds for me... but i may post again on Tuesday when i weigh in, maybe it will be more? if not, no biggie... slow and steady is fine with me... i'm fine hangin' out at 127 for a while if need be, lowest i've been in 20 years! (i think, might be 18) ;)

So far I have lost 12.5 pounds. I am noticing that my clothes fit better, but will not be repeating measurements for a few more weeks. I also am paying so much attention to everything that goes into my mouth. Today at work someone asked me how I would track this particular sweet treat sitting on our break room table. I said I wasn't even tempted becuase I knew it would be difficult to track in our nutrition tracker It didn't bother me in the least to pass. I'm very motivated and I WANT to do this! I am doing cardio 6 days a week: overkill maybe, but I'm hoping to come out of this in the habit if doing cardio at least 3 days a week. THis has been a great experience!

I've lost 5 pounds so far, in just over a month, which kinda is a bit disappointing. But I do feel a lot better because I know that it's because I'm building muscle and losing fat. My jeans also fit a lot better.

20.6 lbs I am super happy with that, and hoping next month is just as productive, especially since I will be seeing my family again at Easter and haven't seen them since Christmas.

I am also drinking more water, used to I might wait until dinner to get any fluids at all.

Oh, and I am down what I am considering a size and a half. lol

I've lost 7 pounds so far even though I quit smoking January 7. I'm now tracking my food and exercise and reading all the motivating and educational articles and testimonies at SparkPeople. I've found this site and the members extremely helpful.

I have lost 4.5 lbs, which I'm really proud of, but I also have decided not to weigh myself for a few weeks so it might be even more than that! Also, I have noticed that I really look forward to my workouts and my clothes are definately looser!

Since joining, I have lost 11.5 pounds. I have noticed that even when surrounded by crazy temptation, I am heading for the healthier choices most of the time... Without even really thinking about it. Plus my sister's in-laws all noticed yesterday at my niece's b-day party, which leads to my other big difference- I seem to have found some confidence... Lost that a loooonnnnnggggg time ago! SO it was a good thing to realize.

-so far I've lost almost five pounds. My weigh in isn't officially until this coming Wednesday, so I'm trying to wait it out. I've been a doing good within my calorie range, and trying very hard to get my exercising in, but I've had some kind of side ache, don't know what's up with my body. That is so "me" to get really into something and eighther get sick, or pull something! -I'm trying to be upbeat, but the burning calories through working out is really gonna get the results. I just keep telling myself to stay on track as best as I can..this is for keeps not some over night fad diet thingy....my best to all, and thanks for listening! -Tammy

I have lost 5 lbs!! I have become more aware of when I am really hungry and when I just want to eat!

Just beginning as joined a month ago. Have not been able to get much exercising at all in and have lost 3 pounds so far.

I have noticed improvement in how i think and feel about food. Have cleared out and re-organized my kitchen of any bad foods or trigger foods. The articles and tools and support on this site have been a big help.
