I eat my Morningstar griller with A-1 or ketchup/mustard and I've also added swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms/onions with lite mayo.

I just tried the Morningstar black bean and Love it!! I put salsa, cheddar cheese and sour cream on it and eat it with a fork.

I'll have to go to their website and look at the suggestions also - thanks for posting!

I know you asked yesterday, but I just saw the post. I love Dr. Praegers brand. We grill them, and eat them basically like a burger w/o the bun. (No breads still) I also like hummus on them instead of mayo or ketchup.

-I love veggie burgers! And depending what kind of a mood your in (Burger 'n fries, or something exotic) I've found that I actually like them better than the "real -meat -deal!" These are just some things I've done with 'em, but your idea sounds pretty darn tempting too, I'll have to try it that way. -I use the Morning Star Grillers prime, but last week I just did the regular veggie burger and they were good too. Sometimes I saute red onions in garlic butter, then place them on the burger, along with chunks of blue cheese...sometimes I just toast the bun in garlic butter for a garlic-burger kind of taste...The best place I've found to try out recipes for the veggie burger is Morningstarfarms.com even if you don't have that brand of veggie burger, they have some pretty neat recipes you might want to try.
-Don't know if this helps or not, but like you during lent I'm also looking for a meat alternative...and the tuna route just isn't sounding good tonight!

That sounds really good - you're making me hungry! I would definitely do it with the salsa!

...a veggie burger! As it is Lent and I'm making a lifestyle change, I've purchased and plan to fix a veggie burger for dinner tonight. How do you eat them? Do you fix it up just like a hamburger? Or can you pretty much do whatever you want? I was thinking of a bunless burger topped with black beans, corn, and salsa. I'm open to suggestions. Please shoot some at me. Thanks!
