That sounds great and fun. I know as a kid after I was done swimming I was tired. It is a great exercise and refreshing:)

I love swimming. Our local YMCA has a indoor pool, but membership is crazy expensive. Plus, I already have a gym membership. Swimming is amazing for weight loss though. I played water polo my sophomore year of high school and dropped to my lowest adult weight without even really trying. 2 hours of swimming 5 days a week will burn off every fat cell in your body for sure!

I know a lot of people who joined when I did saw some successful sparkers on Ellen, so I thought the title would be fun!

But! To my point!

My swim class started today... I signed up for one at my local community collge that meets 4 days a week for one hour on my lunch break. So no eating out, a coach to keep me motivated, and some time in the sunshine to get a tan... all for WAY less than a gym memberhsip!

plus, being a fatty, no impacts on joints or undue strain on muscles... and no one can tell i'm sweating (including myself)!

swimming is the only exercise to work every major muscle group simultaneously (according to that best life guy who comes on oprah)..

one hour of moderate swimming burns over 1200 calories!!!

and it's fun!!

I highly recomend it!!
