I can definitely rack up the points for water this week. Since I'm breastfeeding, I'm supposed to consume 96 oz. of water each day (normally I only get 64, but I've been working my way up there). Yesterday I got 90 oz.! No deprivation challenges are a lot easier for me.

Q - I do Turbokick and it's like a high intensity kick-boxing. There's more dancing moves involved and my teacher switchs up the routine every once in a while. Do NOT forget your water for it. lol

I haven't been on here since last Saturday (sad!) and it feels like I missed the whole week! I am so ready for this next week though. Bring it!

Erin - No i haven't tried Turbo! I will have to try it cause I will need something to do after insanity. What is it like? I don't really know anything about it.

i'm also excited for this week! I've got water down! I really am not a fan of the blogs but I will get that up this week too! I've been slacking on my exercise so I am going to start scheduling it into my calendar cause I'm taking a fitness class and i havent improved in a month and i get graded on improvement emoticon .

So i dont believe that you should drink more than 40 ounces per day because it can dilute the metabolites, but im all in in this week :D

Hey girls...

I got 80 Points for water yesterday- maybe more
I also got 100 for working arms and abs.. Chatarunga push-ups and bicycle crucnchs

I will get my Valentine's day blog up soon.. Just found out my fiance' is taking me out on Saturday to celebrate since he works late during the week.. so its probably going to be a happy one..

Thank God its ALMOST Friday

How is week two starting out women?! I did free-weights and sit-ups with a medicine ball before work this morning (after a nice run in the full orange moon) and had lots of water as well!

Feel like I did a good start to week 2 this morning. Not only did I do arm and ab sculpting exercises, I also "fried my thighs". :)

I feel like I've failed this week. Not only did I not follow the no sweets rule, I over indulged. I tried to exercise more to make up for it, but that didn't go quite as planned either since my little boy was teething all week and needed more attention than usual. I only racked up 350 points since I forgot to post something 3 days this week. Hopefully week 2 will go better; I am so ready for it.

Kristian- Have you tried Turbo? It's A-MAZING! TurboJam and TurboFire are also beachbody products (like Insanity), and I LOVE them!!!

As for the no sweets thing, I'm going to agree with whoever commented about deprivation. I'm normally not a "sweets" eater... but this week I've had a months worth! I'm also not big on the "you can't have something" deal. I totally believe in moderation. When you "can't" have something, that's when your eating is unbalanced. If you choose not to have something, that's all you. I'd rather make the choice.

Other than that, sorry I've been MIA all week. I had a work conference Friday-Monday, so I haven't had time to breathe until today. That also meant really short workouts. So... sorry about the low points, but at least I feel good about what I accomplished! (The points thing is nagging at me, but hey- sometimes you can do more in shorter time periods, and you also have to have a healthy relationship with food... so that's where I'm at right now.)

Looks like I'm ending the week with 475 points.

I am sooo Ready for week 2.. Sorry guys my week 1 wasnt the best..
1- No Sweets! I define "sweets" as anything desert appropriate (cookies, ice cream, cake, candy bars..etc) If it's a protein bar or fiber bar or anything that is a "healthy snack" then go for it! Each day you go w/o sweets give yourself 25 points

Unfortunately I did watch the superbowl emoticon ... i'm not too much a fan of the giants or the pats... but still it was just a repeat of the same tragedy in 2008 (well to me any year the giants win in a tragedy)... oh well! On the plus i had a healthy chicken breast stir-fry dinner that night so I wasn't tempted by sweets! I also finished my blog so got an extra 100 pts done!

So did you gals watch the SuperBowl??? Went to a Superbowl party and they had a chocolate fountain....how do you resist that??? I only had 1 chocolate covered strawberry...so that's good!!! Only a coupld more days until the next challege!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Is it funny I can avoid sweets on weekends but not week days... Saturday and Sunday no sweets!

I'm doing horrible with the no sweets thing. I think it's because it's a conscious deprivation. When I know I can have something, I can go a few days without sweets. It's when I say I can't have something I cave. Not to mention I'm still with my parents and my mom's philosophy is a little something sweet after each meal. Even though I've had a few desserts, I'm making my mom happy and just having a little bit. Hopefully my exercise points can counterbalance the loss of no sweets points.

It was fun! I had my first Psychic Reading. It was amazing what she knew. lol. I also had my first Healing Touch session. I loved it because it was very relaxing and it was close to getting a massage. Luckily, there wasn't any sweets there, but good Jimmy John's sandwiches and wine. MMMMM

It's okay ladies...you can't completely deprive yourself of sweets or it will all fall. Just remember to do it in moderation and you will be fine. First weekend of the Bikini Challenge! I'm going to a Wellness Party tonight so hopefully there's only food and not sweets because I'll end up eating them.

My boyfriend bought a bag of M&Ms the other day and I already had a few emoticon I'll be good today, I promise

I caved tonight and had a pie of cherry pie. Sorry, team! I went to visit my parents out of state and they made a pie in celebration of a spontaneous visit. I'll try to control myself the rest of the week.

also does anyone know of good indoor workouts? I am currently doing insanity which is nice... but i don't like gym or gym equipment so i need some good ideas to get me through this winter!

Thanks for all the great ideas ladies! I'm currently hotel hoping for the next month and a half, so I think I don't have access to the TV things... but the bodyrock.tv looks pretty cool. I've only looked at it for about 30 seconds so far... and I'm totally going back to check it out better as soon as I've finished posting! Huzzah!

Great job at getting those workouts in :)

(Also- in keeping with the spirit of one of my goals- my calorie deficit yesterday was 292. A little lower than I wanted, but better than nothing. I think I'm probably underestimating a bit... but I'd rather do that then over-estimate. 1400 is the BMR for someone of my height, age, and weight... but my job is pretty active)

I did my first run yesterday towards my half marathon goal. Only 1.5 miles, but I consider that great considering it's been almost a year since knee surgery!! Good luck ladies!!!

Erin.. I am totally hooked on this Body Rock TV.. Its all online they show you the workout and then you do it with intervals.. I watched a couple last week and told myself I would do their 30 day challenge once I am settled into my new house... Well I was too excited and did my first workout last night. 12 Minutes- 30 seconds working 10 seconds rest.

They took away the On Demand fitness that U-verse had for me. I hated when they did that since it added variety to my workouts instead of doing the same DVDs I've been doing for years. Now I record Gilad's Bodies in Motion and Total Body Sculpt. In addition I like doing some of Denise Austin's videos.

Not sure what type of tv service you have...but if you have an OnDemand option....they usually have a fitness TV, that give you all kinds of exercise options...Cox Cable has yoga, dance, abs, low impact, high impact. That way you can try them all and pick your fav. PLUS it's FREE!!! Just an idea.

Have you tried any of the Jillian Michael's videos? I know she has some good ones that are shorter! I'm currently doing my second round of P90X and I like it, though it does take a time committment! :-)

Hey Ladies- so I just wrote my blog, and I realized I have a great team to turn to for advice on one of my goals! I'm looking for some new awesome exercise DVDs. Any thoughts? I have everything Chalene Johnson does (TurboFire, TurboJam, ChaLEAN Extreme), as well as a variety of others. I'd love to hear some of your faves!

Also, I'm looking for some short (10-20 minute) workouts to add into my daily routine. Any thoughts?

I'm Erin- 28- and totally excited about this challenge. I love the idea of a massage at the end of the month. I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon. WHEN I reach my goals at the end of the month- I'm going to do the same thing!

Happy February and 1st day of Bikini Challenge everyone!

This morning, I was so close to putting that teaspoon of sugar in my coffee. I got it out of the cupboard and halfway from setting it down on the table, I thought to myself "bikini" and said aloud "no sweets! and put the sugar back. Self control rocks!

I'm Elizabeth and I'm 24 years old. I just gave birth to a wonderful baby boy 5 months ago and I'm still trying to get rid of my pregnancy weight. I did the December challenge and it really motivated me and kept me going-- even more than the January Jumpstart Challenge. My thighs aren't too bad when compared to my tummy, but they still need a lot of work. Here's to frying our thighs!

My name is Anne. I'm 29 years old. This is my 2nd challenge. I did the December challenge but it was difficult around Christmas Time :(

I'm happy for this challenge. I'm going to Savannah, GA on March 6th and plan to get a new bathing suit for the ocean. I need to "fry" my thunder thighs away for sure! I don't know if sweets will be a problem for me. I have some new Fiber One 90 calorie bars that I can munch on.
