I had a very bad scare on Wednesday night, well in the early hours of Thursday morning to be correct. I woke up with so much pain in my left arm and pressure in my stomach that i thought that I was having a heart attack. I was so scared. I thought about calling the paramedics but for some reason decided against that. I must have fallen back to sleep. I was still hurting some in the morning but nothing like the pain i was in at 3 a.m. My friend talked me into going to the clinic to get it checked out which i did last night. They did an EKG which looked okay and so they are going to do a stress test on Sept 26th. They are able to wait until i get back from vacation because the EKG was fine. The doctor also gave me some nitroglycerine tabs just in case it happens again. I was so scared but did have the where with all to pray. I'm doing better today just a little tired still.

Welcome to the new co-leader and there are some other new faces i don't know.

Gayle

Elsie sounds like you are so enjoying your family time. Aren't Dads the best! Glad he was able to fix some things for you.

I am going to get off this computer and go walk to Lavender Lark Farm and see if I want to buy any produce today. I haven't been yet. I walked down yesterday and they were closed because of illness and are suppose to reopen for today. They are only open Tuesday's and Thursday mornings. Might or might not go to the pool. My back is not liking me today.

I am trying to come up with a number for Insurance settlement. Trying to compile the last 11 months is exhausting. We will do this!!!

Thanks so much for your prayers. Trying to get all my ducks in a row to settle the accident. I know why I feel so much of the year I don't remember because I was spending all my time doing doctor appts, therapy and working. Getting it all down on paper. Over $8,000 in medical alone.

Carrie, we are both going to blow that fall 5% challenge away.

I need to find time to introduce a new co leader. Not sure anyone has noticed we have one.

So trying to not allow the negative phone calls drag me down.

Had a walk in the park with a new Spark friend. Was so nice to chat and get to know each other. Then on to dds and watched the twins.

I finally reached my 5% challenge goal, only four days late.

WooHoo Carrie.

Things are not going well preparing for my brother's home going tomorrow. Please pray that they will get the help that they need to get it done. Already the carpet layer didn't have the time to install the carpet. Tempers are getting very short as they are all exhausted. There are others that would help if they knew.

Dd called this morning and said that her nephew was not doing well after his surgery. They have not been able to get a handle on his pain level. He is a teenager looking at 3-6 months of bed rest. His femur was pushing into his hip socket.

Going to meet up with a Sparkfriend tomorrow at River Front Park and take a walk after my training in the morning.

Good Morning Friends! It seems like ages since I have been on the chat board. I finally feel like I can think about something besides the wedding. Yesterday, I finally finished getting things put away, though I still have one tub filled with the tablecloths, that I don't know where to put. It will just sit in the library downstairs until I can figure out a place. Probably will need to reorganize the storeroom which I don't really want to do now.

I had a big gain and have started working on going in the right direction -- see my latest blog.

Have a great day!

I lost .6 at weigh in this morning, and feel like I'm going to have an awesome week. I updated my ticker so it shows my beginning weight and my first goal weight - I guess it's kind of a mind game but seeing how far I have to go is just so overwhelming. Mowed my grass tonight but unfortunately can't count it as exercise since I have a rider.

I hope you all have a great week - make it positive.

Well, I haven't accomplished as much today as I wanted to. I had planned to sort through all the papers that i finished hole punching yesterday. Didn't realize how many there were because I am going to need a second binder now.

I just realized that it is only two weeks before i leave and i have a lot to get done so I'm now into list making...what I need to do, what I need to buy and what i need to take with me. This is turning into a major undertaking LOL!!! What is going to be fun is making sure my bills get paid on time while i am gone. I live on Social Security Disability and get paid on the 3rd of each month which falls on the holiday Monday. Someone said that we will get our checks on Friday...I hope so, that would certainly solve a lot of problems as far as getting things paid goes. You can tell that i haven't had a vacation in a long while, can't you!!

Sending good thoughts to everyone....

What a smart friend you have!! Great solution.

Mom and dad left yesterday. They are at my brothers and they are trying to make his house wheel chair friendly. Two of my brothers are working on it with his step son.

Hubby broke down on top of a pass last night. AAA towed him about 100 miles and a friend came and got the trailer and picked him up. Grateful he was able to get the part he needed today and it is fixed. Now he is trying to get his big truck we need to sell fixed. So grateful that he hasn't broke down before. He puts a lot of miles on in a year.

Going to watch my grands in the morning. One has been running a temp all week. Her mom is at training several hours away and Dad has Sunday School to teach.

Well, I am getting through the last drawer slowly but surely. I borrowed the hole punch from church and decided that i would file those papers...there are a lot more than i had originally thought as I am still punching holes. I need to return the hole punch on Sunday so I am concentrating on getting everything hole punched and then i will sort them by subject and file them away behind A - Z dividers. It's a bigger job than i had anticipated.

My friend gave me the answer to a small problem i was facing with my trip in September. My bus leaves in the middle of the night and i wasn't sure whether to drive and leave my car there for two weeks or get a taxi. So my friend says that if i have two sets of car keys I can drive there and have my other friend pick up the car when it was convenient for her and her husband. Never thought of that because I only have one key to the car right now. All I have to do is get another key cut. I feel relieved to have a solution.

Glad that you had fun with your parents, Leona. I am looking forward to spending time with my family members in about three weeks. And Carrie...I'm glad that the wedding went well.

Hey, quick check in. Had a wonderful couple of days with my parents visiting some aunts in their 90's. Learned the one of my dad's grandfathers was born in 1844. I think my parents will be heading home tomorrow. The heat is really zapping them. They will probably go up and spend some time with my brother. He is in rehab and hopefully will go home on Tuesday. My youngest brother is trying to get all the things he needs in place to go home, including ramps and bars.

Through with work until I need to go in do some data entry. I do have a couple of ours of training next week.

Hubby will be home tomorrow night and I have decided that I am not going to the training this weekend 4 hours away for the military. Dd said I could stay home and chill. Actually I will be catching up on things.

Gayle Woo Hoo on getting things organized. I have been working on it forever. When I get one thing done it seems like I need to start all over again.

Carrie glad the wedding was great and glad you have time to focus on you again. Also glad that business has picked up.

Hi, all! My daughter's wedding was wonderful. We had a great time. I will be posting pictures once I get them from the photographer.

I am trying to get all the wedding stuff put away and organized and get my house back into order. I gained quite a bit this last couple of months, now I got to get my head back into the right frame of mind and get back on track. I hope to sit down this week and write out some goals. I also will be seeing my personal trainer on Thurs - it has been almost a month since I have been to the gym.

Yes, I am writing down what i want to accomplish each day. Yesterday I actually managed to clean out three of the four drawers in the chest of drawers that i started working on. I felt accomplished. Just got one to go. That one is stuffed with papers that I want to transfer into a file box which i won't pick up until i am out running around on Thursday. But I may try to make a start on it today. I also want to go through one of my book cases. So that is my plan for today!

I am slowly starting to clean up my apartment one dresser drawer at a time!! I'm wanting to do a thorough cleaning of my apartment before my trip and instead of trying to tackle it all at once I plan to do one or two things a day to get it accomplished. Baby Steps! was a concept that i am familiar with but was taught during my time at PHP.
While i am feeling somewhat rested today I have missed the structure I have had for the last two weeks.

Glad it was helpful Gayle. Sometimes it is just one step at a time. God's grace is new every morning.

Guys did a thrill ride in a stock car race and scared the wives. Sil ran off the track and apparently sprained his ankle but didn't hit anything. Sure got adrenalin going. Grateful they are all safe.

Well, there are way too many posts for me to catch up on and respond to, so i will start over here and go from there. I will be leaving Sept 4th until Sept 19th so will be gone then as well. So I may not really feel like i am back until after i get back from vacation.

I was discharged from PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) on Friday afternoon. I was in the program for 13 days not counting the weekends. It was very intense, more so than being in-patient I think with 5 1/2 hours of group sessions every day. We were there from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. We did a lot of work on Anger management, Self-Esteem and Co-dependency with boundaries. I learned that depression is Anger turned inwards. Never thought of it like that before. It was a lot of good information and thank goodness they gave us hand outs, but i still took a lot of notes. The group varied between 7 - 12 people in it. I saw the psychiatrist twice and he added a medicine for anxiety. I sat down with the nurse twice and the therapist once for one on one. The rest of the time it was group therapy.

I really did some work on my father's recent letter that i received that really put me back a few steps. Everyone felt the same way that it was this letter that caused me to go to PHP in the first place. I ended up destroying the letter. Now I am working on a letter that deals with my unfinished emotions, namely anger, that will not be sent and I am working on the forgiveness aspect.

PHP practically took over my life for those two weeks but we did have special meetings at my church every night this past week, which i managed to get too. I did oversleep one morning because I was just so tired but managed to catch up on my sleep yesterday, as i did not wake up until ten in the morning! I did manage to spin the wheel each day but aside of that i have not been on the computer very much.

Well, that about tells you what I have been up too while i have been MIA...I trust that everyone is doing well and i will do my best to catch up with everyone as i can.

Just a quick check in as I head out. We are driving 5 hours tonight to be ready for my son's karate tournament tomorrow. Tomorrow is also my twins' birthday so it will be a busy full day!

I made it through my first day back at school without letting all the back to stress get to me! I am determined to make it a good year filled with less fear and more faith! I want to reflect God's love and peace to all of those around me! I want to remain calm in the middle of the storms! I want to be able to support and encourage those around me who get so stressed out!

Hugs, blessings, and skinny vibes!

Hi all! It's been a busy week as I get ready to head back to work tomorrow. My daughter and I went for our "end of summer" pedicure on Tuesday. My DS got his learner's permit on Wednesday. I stayed home today to enjoy my last day at home before I go to work tomorrow. It was a nice day at home with the kiddos!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Momfan so sorry to hear the bad news about your brother. Praying the decision will lead to total healing.Bless you.

Ladies, I joined this group last winter and soon gave up. God has led me back and I hope I will commit wholeheartedly to healthy living. I'm not sure hope and commit should be in the same sentence. Commit should be a deliberate act, not something hoped for. Hmm, something to think about.

It has started raining here (Illinois) a couple of hours ago, thank you so much Lord.

Apparently there is a big miscommunication. It will happen sometime tomorrow.
At least we won't have extended hours tomorrow. I am going to get to bed really early hopefully.

Mom and Dad are really having a hard time. The did go up to dad's reunion today.

We have so many ballots to reproduce. We will start tomorrow. Not sure how many teams she will have starting.

Just got home from a fourteen hour day to hear that my brother will have his leg amputated tomorrow sometime before noon. They are hoping to be able to leave the knee. Lots of shock with family members. I am too exhausted. It is in the high 90's and I was out in it for about three hours this evening. Goodnight.

Good morning everyone!

The twins will be 9 Saturday.

Leona...praying for your brother.

Not much planned here today. I have to go back to work Friday so I am trying to relax and enjoy these last couple of days at home without projects! emoticon

Leisa how old are your twins?

Long day, even longer tomorrow.

My brother's MRI showed more infection than they thought and he might lose his leg.

Hi friends! emoticon

Elsie...Glad to see you are safe in your travels!

Leona...Great news about being released from the chiro!

We did indeed enjoy, relax, and refuel! What a blessing it was! We went to one of my favorite places to do just that and it was great. Filled with lots of relaxing and active movement too! We rented bikes one day for 4 hours and yes! I made it! We estimate we biked about 8 miles. I was so thankful that my improved health allowed me to participate with my family. Today we had a birthday party for my twins. Their bday is actually this coming Saturday, but my older son has a karate tournament. So we had a swimming party for a few of their friends today before we go back to school. It was fun!

Hope everyone is doing well and had a marvelous Monday!
Hugs and blessings!
Walking in joy,
Leisa emoticon emoticon
