Hi girls

Was not the greatest day for me. I was having a terrible time with all the smog or what ever the white in the atmosphere. I could do nothing but sit in the truck while everyone else worked. I felt useless. I know they all understand, I just get frustrated about it. DH said he was having a head ache and two of the kids came and asked me for tylonol for head aches, so it was affecting everyone.

I will say we are happy we got about 3 to 4 cords of oak over the week-end. I felt a lot better when we got back down to DS's home. DS said it was most likely the altitude with the stuff in the air that was getting to me.

We went to the store and got some things so we do not have to do it tomorrow. So glad we do not have to go anywhere for the next two days.

I read everyone's post but too tired so will chat tomorrow.

Jan, we have some down, lots more to come down yet, as we live int he woods.
Not even peak color yet, we are a bit behind on that.

The blues poncho is finished. I love it.
Will start the coral one tomorrow. Same pattern.

Hubby and I had a nice time tonight.
We popped popcorn, watched Turner and Hooch again, and then watched reruns of To Tell the Truth on demand.

Nice to see your new friend the deer again,.

I cut some berry vines sneaking into our yard and started pruning the lavender. That little fawn came into the back yard while the gate was open and munched on some weeds by the fence. It's so beautiful and sunny today.

Patty, Oh is it leaf time again! We don't have many falling yet. The maple sheds it's leaves in later November. That is a cute sweatshirt. I'm glad you are having so much fun with the poncho. Enjoy your shepherds pie. That's great you are getting in some Gazelle time. Enjoy your Cy Decker book.

Good afternoon Girls,
Hubby is out blowing leaves. I am inside watching Top Chef on Bravo on demand, and crocheting my little fingers off...lol

I have 3 1/2 rounds to go, and I will be done with my first poncho. I love this pattern. Each round gets larger and larger, and it is now taking a long time for each round...

I have 2 pounds of hamburger cooking in the crockpot along with onions and celery.

I will freeze half of it for another meal some day.

The remaining pound will go into shepherds's pie.

We will also have sliced tomatoes and nectarine cobbler...this is so good girls. I used the recipe from Across america, Willamette valley blackberry cobbler. I used all splenda, but I did top it with cinnamon sugar, just a sprinkle...so yummy

Nothing else is happening here.

I have been getting 10 minutes on the gazelle the last few days.

Need to do it more than once, but just gradually getting used to it again...

I am on book 16 of the Cy Decker series by Steve Demaree. Sure wish he would come out with more of this series.

Good morning Glenna & girls, emoticon

Well, I just got up - slept in really good this morning- it's almost 8 AM. I heard the fog horn a bit early this morning and sure enough there is fog but it's supposed to be sunny and 65 so warmer than it has been. Yesterday afternoon was beautiful.

DS is coming over when we get home from church. I think he is going to help patch the shed roof.

We'll have another reuben sandwich for dinner. I had pickled beets with mine last night and it sure was good.

Glenna, That's a pretty butterfly. I didn't see many this year. There's one thing for sure - housekeeping just waits, it never goes away!

Good morning girls,
What are you all up to today? I will putter around the house. I need to get caught up inside. Since I have been canning and working outside, I have let things go inside.

We are supposed to have rain later today and tomorrow. That will be a blessing.

Jan, You asked about the potatoes. I canned the smaller red ones. I may just store the white ones in the potato bin in the cellar. I feel pretty canned out right at the moment. So time will tell.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, whatever you do.
