Jan, Congrats on the loss! That is great. We are proud of you!!! The kids have been back to school for about 2 weeks now here in WV. Maybe started early in case of snow days this winter. I eat corn without butter, too. Mom and I both do. We always liked it that way. I occasionally put butter on it, but mostly eat it without.

Patty, Hope the bladder infection goes away with some meds. Good luck with WW freestyle. I hope you have success with it.

Vicki, How are you doing now? I loved that picture of a cow. It was so cute.

Karen, How are you doing now? How are you feeling?

Iris, Hi. We miss you. Hope you are doing ok.

Nina, Your food sounds so good. And sounds like you are busy with crafting.

Our electricity was off for several hours today. Not sure why. It was raining really hard this morning, but no wind. Anyway it is on now and everything is fine.

Well goodnight all!

Good Evening Ladies

Well I guess I did not get on here this morning. I started too and DH got up and asked me try and do my watermark on my tag pictures. I found them on the internet when looking up something. They were under the name of Sparkpeople from my blog. So I had to delete those and DD sent me the watermark to put on my pictures of the things I make. Unfortunately people steal them. One of the ladies I listen to on youtube has had her stuff stolen from China and have mass produced it. It is a little smaller than hers. She said she can not really do anything about it, so made us aware to be careful of what we buy and from who. So the watermark on the pictures helps.

This morning I played around with the “Apple Pancake” recipe. The “Maple Walnut Breakfast Quick Bread,” on the opposite page of “The Open Road, sounded good but I did not want to use the oven. So I decided to make Apple pancakes with walnuts in them and no apple. I did use the apple pie spice and also used half Grain Baking mix in it. They were good too.

For dessert I made a jello salad similar to “Mandarin Orange Salad.” I just used raspberry jello, mandarin oranges and blueberries. I am out of pineapple and orange jello. When I licked the bowl after mixing it it was really good.

I worked on some more tags and a page pocket. Plan to put them on my Sparkpage but may be in the morning after I get the watermark on.

Supper – grilled pork chop, “Italian Pea Salad,” “Carrot Salad,” Green Beans, Green Salad
Dessert “Margarine/Blueberry Raspberry Salad.”

Jan – That is great your loss.
opening the house is a good idea, hopefully it worked for you. That is what I do here too. It is pretty cool in the mornings here. My mom is doing better and my sister is in rehab place healing.

Patty – I love those pumpkins, what a neat idea. We will be supporting you in your WW points system. I have to stay on the diabetic diet to stay on the boarder line. Do not want to have to take more meds. Preparing things ahead of time will sure be helpful for you. I like to do that too. It will still be fun to share the recipes as I may be able to use them.

Jan, this plan will be sort of my version of it.

I am not going to join at this time, nor do I have the ww app to use, so will just use recipes from videos and count those.

Sounds easy right?
We shall see.

No to corn holders. I get my hands right on that corn...lol

Thank you Patty. I like corn on the cob without butter, too. Do you use corn holders? I have some from Mom & Dad in red and some I got on eBay in sort of a butterscotch color so everyone gets one or two. What a good idea. I hope the WW freestyle works well for you.

Yay Jan... emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Good for you. I am so proud of you. You worked hard and it showed.

We had rotisserie chicken from Sam's, corn on the cob, no butter for me, and a lettuce tomato salad with diet ranch and 5 croutons

I cut up 3 med-to large potatoes.

Put them in a 9x9 sprayed pan. topped with 1 TB. oil.

Bake at 400 for 40 min.

Tomorrow I will divide the potatoes into 4 servings. Top each with 2 scrambled eggs, a bit of cheese and salsa.

I think this is 3 points, if I remember right.

I also took graham crackers and made an "ice cream" sandwich.

I took a 4 square cracker. Topped it with slices of 1/4 banana each.
Then topped that with 2 TB. lite cool whip
Top with another square of GC. I think 3 points.

I wrapped them individually, and put them in the freezer.

Each whole GC makes 1 sandwich.

My weight is way up. I am going to try to do ww freestyle at home by watching videos of what others are making, and the points they say recipes are.

Anyone want to do it with me? Cut way back on carbs and lots of healthy fruits veggies and zero points foods?

Good TOPS meeting today. One of the ladies has a birthday on Saturday so 10 of us went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch and a good visit. I lost 1.6 lb. this week.

It is 75 and so much more comfortable than yesterday. I'm so glad.

Vicki, What a cute cow. Thinking of Glenna's cow, Sis.

Patty, Those are cute pumpkin decorations. I'm sorry the bladder infection was still bothering you and hope the doctor could give you something to make it better. How is your Sis doing?

If the plan doesn't work, change the plan, not the goal.
My goal is to be healthier, period !

Good morning girls,

Last Wednesday in August.

I made it through that hot night with the fan on most of the night. It's 74 in the house this morning so I'm letting cool morning air in. I think we might hit 80 again today but that's better than 90!

Patty, Did your doctor say if it's okay to go ahead with knee surgery?

Nina, How is your Mom doing?

I heard on the news Portland kids are going back to school today. Here the kids don't go back til next Tuesday.

Glenna has a new question of the day up.
