Jan, an apartment...woohoo. hope it works out for you. Is it a 1 or 2 bedroom?

Karen, I thought you said you were getting 11 year old eggs, so I re-read it and found out it was 11 year old ggs...lol

Nina, it's hard when we lose a day isn't it.
I sure do envy your camping trip.
Glad you finally got your groceries.

Nina, I hope all comes together tomorrow for your scrapbooking. Thanks for the additional hints for the cheesecake mixture. It's fun to have a meal out and break up the constant chore. How many dinners do you think we've made over the years? Cute picture.

Hi everyone

A much better day today. We got the groceries we needed.

I got a lot of my stuff I took in to clean back in the RV this morning. DH did his worms. You have to water and feed them.

Then we headed to Taylor to get groceries. The parking lot was really full. A lot of people coming from Show Low till the walmart there gets their refrigeration done.

I also went to the Dollar Tree there and got some thing I could not find at the one in Show Low. We went in the car as it has air conditioning and I did so much better breathing today. I could see a control burn off in the distance on one of the mountains when we got home. It was blowing the smoke not in my direction YA!

We ate at Taco Bell for lunch. Yesterday, we ate at Wendy's and then going home late we had Kentucky fried. Do not think it was eating too good for Health, but it all sure did taste good. But that will be enough fast food for a while. I did get some snacks that are healthy for camping. I got some Triscuits, diced peaches, applesauce. Will take my Hot Cocoa too. Plan to make a potato salad and a veggie salad of some kind.

Tomorrow is my scrapbook party. I sure am not ready after loosing my day today because of yesterday. I will have to get up early and figure out my scrap pages. It will be a more relaxing day though sitting to have some fun time.
We will not leave till Friday after DS's meeting so only Friday and Saturday, maybe Monday night.
Well I yacked enough. You all have a great evening.

Jan – I have done some thing a little different than JoAnna said. I put FF cream cheese (that I left out to room temperature) in my kitchen aid mixer. I turn it on low and blend it till soft. Not too long just about 30 seconds. I also put the dry milk powder in the water or juice depending on what is being used. Then mix it up. I add it to the dry pudding and stir till smooth. I add that to the cream cheese in the kitchen aid. It seems to be a little creamer that way. When I make pudding I always add the dry milk powder to the water or liquid to dissolve it. I add this to the pudding. I always had trouble adding all the dry mixture and then adding the water. It seemed to always be lumpy. I did it again. I gave a long explanation. Guess I always will that is just me emoticon I always check out the desserts does'nt every one emoticon

Glenna – you could rest after last week. Sounds like you like to keep busy I am the same way. If not working I am crafting or something.

Patty – Got a chuckle out of going to town and coming home with $50 worth of groceries and no milk.
I sure do have to make a list to go shopping and even with a list I forget something. Just have to remember to mark off everything I get.
I just smile and so happy for you when you get to do things with your sister now. Was praying for her for quite a while. So glad they found a way to help her. Looking forward to those pictures. Oh the precious memories we have of our loved ones. Absolutely love that pillow. I really need to get some patriotic decorations. I use to decorate, but having moved so much I do not do as much now.

Karen – what fun to get to spend time with your ggs. Do not know if those recipes made it into another book.

Patty, Those are wonderful memories and I love the pillow.

Karen, I think the chowder sounds good, too. I would use Dungeness crab when it's fresh or even shrimp or smoked salmon in it.

Girls, there may be an apartment available! I returned the call after I got the voice mail but she didn't call back. I'm excited and it's time to start getting busy and making decisions. Pray my hubby doesn't start to worry and fret.

A busy but hot day in Ohio. I worked this morning on prepping fresh fruit to take to the ggks. Then I picked up 11 year old ggs. Fixed his supper & watched a movie with him. I made bean salad for myself. The new member is on a FB page & was asking about the chowder. I think she may got discouraged with Spark. The recipe does sound really good. If Rolland was I alive I am sure he would want me to make it. I wonder if those recipes ever made it into another book?

Jan, no, I don't know the girl.

I like that Vicki has joined us.

Jan, those desserts sound yummy. I always check out the desserts too.

I started this pillow this afternoon.
Isn't it so cute.

I will put it in the chair in the dining room for the summer.

This chair was my grandparents. Grandpa would put me in the chair and call me his little princess...I was almost 5 when he died of heart problems.

It's so special to me, and it would be fun to have different pillows for different seasons on it. It is the first thing you see when you come in my front door.

He had a few strokes. Mom couldn't understand him when he would call her, so he would
swear and hang up.
He would then call back and say Patty. I would get on the phone, and I could understand him, and would tell Mom what he needed. precious memories

Patty, It's so much fun to do something like your ghan squares or a day out with your Sis.

I've been wondering do any of you know the lady who joined and posted on our wall? Karen seemed to know something about she had questions. She doesn't have a Spark page and I'm guessing she hasn't learned to navigate on Spark yet. Maybe she'll come back or maybe not.

Since I pulled out Best of Healthy Exchanges Newsletter Cookbook to answer Karen, I've been looking through it and there are some good recipes there. Like
Frozen Lemon Yogurt Pie
Candy Bar Pie
Doug's Delight (a bread pudding)
Leave it to me to look at dessert first!

Jan, yes easy to forget something. emoticon

Like you go to the store for milk, come home with $50 worth if groceries and no milk...aggravating...lol

I just finished square #6. I am so excited about this afghan.
It will be twin bed top size, just the top. Perfect for sitting in my chair in the winter.

It didn't get that warm here today, low 70's, and rain.
The last few days have been hit and humid here too.
We always make it through don't we.

Sis is excited about this calendar ghan too. She really wants to see the squares up close and personal. She wants to make one too.

Think I will put blueberries in the pancakes tonight...yum

I will take pictures in a few days and show you the squares. I have 11 squares from the stitch scrap afghan done too. I am only 1 behind so far.

My socks are not done yet. Oh well.

I forgot to answer Karen about what Antifa is. Here's Wikipedia's definition:
The Antifa (/ænˈtiːfə, ˈæntiˌfɑ&#7
20;/)[1] movement is a conglomeration of left-wing autonomous, militant anti-fascist[7] groups in the United States.[11] The principal feature of antifa groups is their use of direct action,[12] with conflicts occurring both online and in real life.[13] They engage in varied protest tactics, which include digital activism, property damage, physical violence, and harassment against those whom they identify as fascist, racist, or on the far-right.[18]
Activists involved in the movement tend to be anti-capitalists[19] and subscribe to a range of ideologies, typically on the left. They include anarchists, socialists and communists along with some liberals and social democrats.[25] Their stated focus is on fighting far-right and white supremacist ideologies directly, rather than through electoral means.[12

Are you seeing on the news the mess in Portland after the last demonstration and the mayor insisting the police chief tell her people to "stand down" (not get involved)?

On a much happier note, DH was going out the door to go to the library and I asked if he'd put the flag up. He decided to put the flag up and off we went. I found some good buys at Deals Only. Hubby went to the library. Next thing I know here he is saying when he put the flag out he left his library book at home. Lol. Easy to do, eh?

Glenna, Stay cool today. I hope you get the rain you need. Hmmm, do housework or read? emoticon

Patty, Thanks for the tip. I did leave the cream cheese out for a bit because I realized the Cool Whip Lite was in the freezer so set that out, too. I will definitely make this again. I hate cleaning the fridge. When I do I think I'll keep it clean from then on...…. hah! The squares sound so cute! That sounds like a good supper. Have fun tomorrow.

Hi Girls,

Jan, I leave the cream cheese out on the counter for a few hours, or else if I forget, I put it in a bowl without the wrapper and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Then I mash it down in the bowl.

then in a separate bowl, I mix up the dry milk powder, pudding and jello mixes, then add that to the cream cheese. That way the jello mixture is nice and combined before adding to cream cheese.
Mine is still lumpy, but ...you can't taste lumps...lol

Glenna, always work isn't there.

Your new potatoes sound so good.

I am on block #6 or the cutsey calendar ghan. The Sun block.
Block 4 was a bunny
block 5 was a large flower
block 6 is the sun
block 7 is a beach ball
block 8 is a camper
and so on.

Tomorrow Sis and I are going to lunch and a nice visit.

Have a good day Girls.

I never did get the frig cleaned so I cleaned it today. It is shiny like new.

Hubby wants pancakes and eggs for supper...yum

Hi Jan,

I wonder where everyone is at today? I worked and just finished a late lunch. I boiled a carrot and a couple of small potatoes I snuck out of a hill of potatoes. They tasted pretty good.

I don't really know about the cream cheese and mixing. If you let it sit out for a bit, do you think that would help?

It is hot here again. I just checked the weather and it is 86 and feels like 92. A 50% chance of thunderstorms. I really hope we do get some rain. the gardens could use a drink.

Not sure what I'll get into now. Definitely indoor things until the sun goes down. I did wash a load of dishes. I could do laundry. Or read! LOL

Good morning girls,

It's a cloudy day here but the good news is it's not too warm and looking out the computer room window I can see a blue hydrangea bloom and the red firecracker blooms. Both of these are about 6' tall.

Question about the Orange Push Up Cheesecake. Or any cheesecake really - I find it hard to stir the cream cheese til it's soft and I always wonder if I've stirred enough. After adding the gelatin and pudding mix (and dry powdered milk if I'd remembered it) it's even harder. Do you have any tips about this?

By the way - the cheesecake was yummy even without the powdered milk.

How is everyone doing today?

Nina, Sounds like you will be heading off for camping soon. Makes me remember the days when Ann used to go on RV trips and tell us all about it.

Hello to everyone. emoticon
