Good Evening Ladies

Spent the afternoon copying recipes I want to keep. It was a nice day. Still in the 60's. Spring like weather. I did get my walk in today. Been better not hurting as much since I put my Salon Paws Patches on my back all day yesterday. I should have done it when it started.

Patty – what fun to change out your bed to spring décor.

Jan – the trees are fruit tree that are going to bloom. The others are not blooming trees as far as I remember.

Jan, thanks, I will check out pinterest afghan squares. They sure are pretty.
Not sure on the headache. Could be a side effect, but maybe not. We shall see.

It's nice to have your home to yourself again, isn't it.

It is supposed to be in the 50's for 2 days this next week. Yay. That should take some of our snow down a bit. I still can't smell spring.

Everything has quieted down here and I'm hoping for a restful afternoon/evening since we have an early start tomorrow.

DS helped us with some tech things - like getting our tv to use Amazon Prime again and DVDs.

Karen, I'm so glad spring showed up in Ohio. What a fun weekend for your daughter.

Nina, A good day for you to rest up. Are the trees flowering trees? I noticed today our snowball tree is getting tiny green leaves.

Patty, The granny squares are on Pinterist. Do you think the headache is residual of the shingles shot or just something that happens. I like changing things for the seasons. My mattress was given to me by my neighbor who wanted something else awhile back. It's one of those that you can't flip over. It's all in one piece and the dickens to put some fitted sheets on. I'm waiting to see if a queensize mattress will fit in the new apartments or if we might need to go back to a full size bed. If we do I want the mattress and boxspring kind.

Jan, what a beautiful granny square...oh my. Where are you finding these?

Hi of 41 here today, and sunshine on and off.

I have had a headache today. Put me into plan B mode.

I started with symptoms of a migraine with the blurry, lightening flashes in the eyes. Then came the headache.

I have had these for a few years, but lately, I am starting to get the headaches too. Not too bad yet, but it did make my tummy a bit upset too...

so no exercise today, or at least right now.

I did change my bed over to spring mode instead of winter mode.

We took everything off the bed.
Spring spin the mattress, (fall flip is when we turn it over).

washed and dried the sheets, and they are on the bed.
Washed the winter bedspread, and will put it away for now
Also washed the winter comforter, and will put that away once it is dry. It is too hot for this time of year.

Put the spring and fall quilt on the bed, then my spring, summer bedspread on...

changed out my afghan, and voila, my bed is set for spring.

Karen, what a fun time for your DD.

Nina, hope you are continuing to feel better today, even if you are tired. Good job on getting the watering system set up for less work for hubby.

Yay for a clean back porch, and yes to your hubby grilling ...lol

Good Morning Ladies

That cocoa sure was good this morning. I do look forward to chatting with you all.

It is sunny here today with a high of 68 and wind of 3 mph. It was a nice day yesterday with no wind. Suppose to be nice the rest of the week.

We have two trees blooming, and the rest are just about to do it. Some of the other trees here have tiny leaves on them. DH, DS, DGS's planted two more fruit trees yesterday. They also got a watering system rigged up till we get the main system going. All DH has to do is switch the hose to each section of trees and turn it on. Before he was having to do it with a hose individually. So he is happy about that.

DH this morning got the back porch all cleaned and ready for BBQ's for warm weather.

Breakfast – was whole grain pancakes with flax seed in them.


Lunch – hamburger soup. I will put some spinach in it today. I found some when cleaning the freezer last week.

Dinner – BBQ chicken legs. I have not figured out the rest. Will use a zucchini in something.

I can't wait to here the rest of you are no longer have any snow like Jan said.

Glenna – sounds like you got a lot done that you wanted to yesterday. We have an IGA grocery store in St. Johns but most prices are double anyplace else. Is yours expensive? I know what you mean about just getting out and doing something.

Patty – your lunch sounds yummy. My DH does not cook. He will BBQ on the grill in the summer. Maybe I should give him some hamburgers to grill and that way I could not have to cook lunch too

Jan – the breakfast sounds yummy. It is so much fun having family come, but I know today I sure am tired after them being here.

The sun is not shing but temps are in 50's so spring has maybe made it's apperancece in Ohio. I am anxious to have my DD get home from her weekend in Nashville. About 10 gals from her high school class met for ladies only vacation. They are coming from several states. I hope it was as much fun as they thought it would be. 35 years can make a big difference!!

Darn! If I'd come here first thing maybe that kitty would have brought me the morning coffee!

It's foggy this morning and eventually the sun will come out.

I made the guys rolly-up pancakes with lemon & sugar (crepes).

Quinn will be going home this afternoon.

Bruce has an appointment at the VA tomorrow so it will be an early get up and dash out of the house.

Glenna, Enjoy your trip to town.

Patty, How did the games go yesterday? That is a good message in your picture.

One of these days you ladies are going to say "snow all melted/grass is growing!"

We are having burgers for lunch. Hubby will be making them.
Tuna and noodles for supper

We will also have beans and corn, and oranges, bananas and cantaloupe for the meals. Not sure how they will be added yet, or if they, at least the fruit, will be a snack.

I have been lax on the gazelle this last week, so today starting back in with 45 min, unless I can walk outside. It depends on how the driveway is. Can't tell from in here.

Have no idea of the weather either...I just don't have much info for you this morning...

I will check back in later.

Good morning everyone,

Anyone want coffee, tea, or cocoa?? We can sip our favorite drink while we chat.

It was frosty earlier, but supposed to warm up to the 60's today. Rain tomorrow and then none until next Saturday. So sounds like a good week.

I did get outside for awhile yesterday evening. It had warmed up pretty good and I went out and moved some limbs I had trimmed from the fruit trees.

I did some work indoors, too. I cleaned the bathroom and worked on dishes. So a bit accomplished.

What are you all into today?

Mom and I may go to IGA to shop later on today. It will be fun to get out for awhile.
