Nina, you sure got a lot of cooking done. good for you.
Nice that the greenhouse helps to heat up the house.

Hi girls

I stayed home today. It was sunny and nice today. Still cool but the green house got the house nice and warm today without having to feed the wood stove.

I did some things in the kitchen today so I will have a couple weeks supply.

Made DH his cookies from a mix that I have. It is so easy to put them together with this mix. If anyone is interested I can give you the recipe. I gave DDIL a container of this mix and she actually called me and told me that it was the easiest cookies she ever made.
Also one cookie is 79-87 calories depending on the raisins or chocolate chips you put in them.

Also made an apple crumble I call it. Use JoAnna's crumble recipe from one of her other recipes.

Got my supper in the crock pot. It is a Weight Watcher recipe. It will go on rice. Will have a green salad and wheat french bread.

I had fish and left over Mandarin Cole Slaw for lunch. Also ate some cookies and most likely a couple two many :) But when you have a cold they just taste so good and make you feel good too. At least two of them were JoAnna's cookies.

Feeling somewhat better this evening. Will see tomorrow how it goes.

Jan I can imagine that having to get rid of things you have had a long time with memories attached must be hard to do. Once you get into your new place when it is available, you will be able to relax for a while. 25th of February-time sure does fly.

Patty getting all that snow removed sure must be hard work. You are so lucky to be able to wear things with wool in them. I do have a sweater that has it in it and if I wear something under it so I do not break out or itch. It sure does keep me warm.

Karen stay as warm as you can with that snow and temps. It is only January and we can get snow here in March. Do not know about Ohio.
Nina

Patty, The hats look wonderfully warm and so cute. That is mighty cold. I wonder how Glenna manages it, too. That is good news for your Sis. Do you have one of those neck wraps you can stick in the microwave to warm up and wrap it on your neck or wherever you need it?

Just came in from snowblowing the decks or porches...I call them both different times...lol

Glenna, I don't know how you can get out and take care of your animals each day when it is so cold. Do you just have chickens and Sis? Or do you have more animals?

I did the back deck, and I was freezing. So I put another pair of gloves on, I wear those stretchy gloves that you can get for $1, so I wore 2 pair. Hands still cold. Then I took my wig off, and put on a wool hat that I made. My head and ears were so warm.

Not sure if you remember them. I used 2 strands of wool yarn and crocheted them.
I made a red and black hat, a blue and black hat, and a blue and variegated yarn for the brim of the third hat.

These are really warm, first of all, double yarn and a tight crochet.
Secondly because they are wool...if I get more wool yarn, I will make some more. I like the pattern.

Karen, yeah, next Wed. high of 1 degree...that's right, not a typo, 1 degree...oh my

Jan, I can imagine how hard it would be to have to downsize. These items you have were bought because you really wanted them, and now you have to get rid of some.
Think of how much easier it will be for both you and Bruce in your new place. Different but nice and easier for you both.

Sis is moving on Monday. She is in Kalkaska now, about over an hour to get there from here.
She will be moving to Traverse City. Only half an hour from here, and we go to T.C. often, 2 or 3 times a week.

Also her friends are in TC, and her AA meetings are too. It will be much easier and less lonely for her. I am very happy for her. She admits, at this time anyway, that it is a permanent situation. That she will always need to be someplace like this. Hope she continues to think so.

OK, starting to warm up. I have the electric heater and a hot cup of coffee, so I am all set.

Heel is turned on the 6th sock. Now to start working down on the feet, ort else get back to the afghan, we shall see.

Good morning Patty, Karen & girls,

Wow, it's cold over there! emoticon It is hard to believe we're at the 25th already. When I'm waiting for the coffee to finish perking it seems so slow and the calendar goes so fast. Next Friday will be February 1!

It's 37 out right now but the sun is there behind the morning fog and it will warm up to 49.

I'm still in downsizing mode. It takes a lot of energy emotionally as well as physically.

When I get through this maybe I can put that energy into weight loss.

My son is coming down for his birthday on 2/7 so I need to plan a bit for that.

Good morning Girls,
Can you imagine it is the 25th already?

We got more snow overnight. Hubby will need to plow again. I knew we were going to get more snow overnight, so we decided to not do the porches yesterday, but to do them today after the snow stops.
11 degrees here today and gray.

Working on the heel of my 6th sock.

Pizza for lunch, and leftover fajitas, butternut squash and blueberry salad for supper.

Have a good day Girls.
