Good Evening Ladies
Well it was a marathon in the kitchen for sure today. I did get my hamburger cooked and bagged in 4 oz. Two meat loaves, and Hamburger steaks made. I also cooked my ground turkey and pork sausage for Biscuits and gravy. Measured into 3 ounces and bagged. I also made some sausage patties from it. And bagged and in the freezer. Got my 5 lbs cheese bagged and frozen. Also got my chicken breasts bagged separately. Got my hot cocoa mix made too.
I was reading that drinking seltzer water was better for us. I got some lemon seltzer water. It did not have citric acid in it and said naturally flavored. Hoping That my IC bladder tolerates it because I liked it with some splenda in it.
Tonight we had “Southwestern Meat Loaf,” Baked potato wedges, mixed vegetables and green salad. Will have ice cream with my no sugar added Nesquick syrup for dessert. Living in the Southwest I did it just a little different for the sauce. Will post it on the cooking section.
We celebrate our 49th anniversary today. We usually do not celebrate it till spring just because it is right after Christmas. It is hard to believe for us that we are that old. Our minds feel like it was not that long ago.
Karen – sounds like a nice day for you today. Sounds like we both were making meat loaves today and cooking meat.
Jan – so glad your headache was better and you were able to go do the Bible study. A lot of non-perishables are still sitting on my table. I did not get to putting them away yet. As I get older it sure does take me more time to do things.
Glenna – Love the smiling snail. I did a lot of baking when we were having temperatures in the teens in the morning to help keep the house warm. I have not done beans in the oven like you were describing. I do not see why it would not be a good way of doing them. Sounds like it would be similar to using a crock pot. Hopefully you were able to get some of the work done you want. Although it sounds like you already did some work for the day.
Patty – I got such a good laugh about the yarn jumping into your arms. I could just picture it the way you described. Have fun with that yarn. I have seen a lot of NP and usually they give me more attention and information that the doctors. The doctors seem to have so little time now with us.
