Check out Hal Higdon. Just google him. I am using his half marathon training now and it is great. He tells you what kind of exercise and how much to do on every day of the week.

I ran 3.5 miles on Monday, went to the gym yesterday, I plan on running tonight. I am starting at week 3. Not doing too bad. I gained a few after the weekend but am back on track now!

I have the 30 day shred and I love level 1, but every time I go to level 2 I get bored and I quit. Maybe I will try level 3 and see what it is like. I have never done that level before. I really want to get that new dancing one, I am drawing a blank as to what it is called right at this moment, I think it starts with a k.

I am in. On the road all day today and tomorrow, but I should be able to fit in 2 miles in Salina, KS. I am picking up our newest addition - a Bouvier des Flandres puppy and he will want to run.....Right?Wahoo.

As for cross training....have you ever tried one of the Jillian Michales dvds? I really like them and you can choose how long you work out for. She has some that are 30 min and others that are a bit longer.

We can do this....together.

Week 1-- 2 Mile, 2 Mile, 3 Mile
Week 2-- 2.5, 2.5, 3.5
Week 3-- 3, 3, 4
Week 4-- 3, 3, 4.5
Week 5-- 3, 3, 5
Week 6-- 3, 3, 5

Cross train 2 days a week, yoga one day and one rest day.

I don't know about anyone else, I have no problem getting in the running it is the cross training that I am not good about doing. I could use some ideas for that.

Challenge sounds great. I ran last night and decided I was going 45 minutes no matter what, didn't matter how far, just 45 minutes. I did, we walked a few times but that's a start. Let me know what you find out! Thanks

The One hour runner program Is a 9 week program like the couch to 5k. But the goal is to work up to one hour of running.
