SKECHERS all the way for me!! Not only do they work your legs even more losing more cals, but they feel like your running on cloud nine. I don't think I ever will get a different kind ever. You can find them a sports check 120$ or in the malls they have them with different colors for cheaper 99$

Asics 2150 are far the best ones that I have owned but I don't pronate... they are like $69 at Sports Authority. They are just last years model, they have a cushion in the ankle that heats up when you run that forms around your ankle for support. My husband and I both have the same shoe, he just has the men's version.

I find Saucony best for me so far. I did have to start buying a half-size bigger the second time that I purchased. I try to buy them when they go on sale. I also do not wait until I really need them to go looking. I keep my eyes open for the sale and usually have new ones "waiting" in my closet.

I just bought a pair of Ryka running shoes and I love them. I don't have a defined arch, so I find running shoes work best for me in all exercising situations. These shoes are fitted and I can wear them for a full workout without my feet hurting.

One step at a time...

You really just need to plan on spending some time in the store and try on different brands and walk/jog around a bit. I love under armour, however my husband and boys are not fans to run. Addidas, nike, Asics and under armour are all in my house but changes on a regular basis as our bodies change. Godd luck and don't rush into a shoe. Plan time so you aren't rushed when you go in the store.

We can do this....together.

What shoe is best for you depends on so many factors. What shape is your foot? How wide? Do you "over pronate"? I LOVE Saucony, but my son can't wear them. He does best in anything by NIKE. Go to a good shoe store that caters to runners. A good store will look at your feet, analyze your gait, and ask about your program. They can get you in the best ones for you.

I am also a fan of ASICS, but I usually get older models and thus save a little. I agree though that this is not an area worth skimping if you can't avoid it. Hard to argue anything is more important to a runner than a good pair of shoes!

I like asics. However with running shoes you can't skimp on them. If you get much less that $100 they aren't very good.

Anyone care to share their opinion on the best running shoes out there?
