I'm with you...COME ON SPRING!

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Today I will write about WHITE.
It was all around me for so long. The ground, the sky, my skin.
It is cold.
There is no yellow or blue. Just white, hidden underneath is some gray, that peaks thru from time to time.
White, it covers the green.
Cant wait til Spring!

I start with a story tree (no grammar, just points moving in the desired direction) and just let it flow!

But one more quick note, my friend, while he was the shooter, was also the victim. Because the man he shot came to his home uninvited and came into his door uninvited and threatened my friend, my friend took the only action at that moment he thought he could. Protecting himself, his family and his home.

What I had in mind about the perspective of the victim's family was to fictionalize it, rather that ask anyone to actually relive that experience. sort of put yourself in their shoes and see if you can write what you think they might see and feel.

That is a great idea, I wonder what my friend would think about me writing from my perspective as the best friend of a man accused of murder. Wonder if he would be okay with me writing about how I felt sitting in court hearing the verdict.
And then his perspective.
I dont really know any relatives of the victim, but its a small community, I am sure one or two might be willing to sit down and chat.
Although that also might be difficult for me, hearing damaging remarks about my friend.
That I suppose is also something to write about.

have you thought about writing the story down as you know it, then from your friends perspective and then again from the perspective if the victim or someone related(fictional) to vic?

I write about life in Eastern Ky, and lately, mostly I just write about me, about my feelings over the changes my life has gone through the last 2 years.
I wrote alot during the period when my best friend was standing trial for murder.
And thought someday I might sit down with him and write from his perspective.

I run the gamut...children and adult, romance, mystery, scifi, historical in story form and poetry.

When I write poetry, the subject is usually about either spiritual stuff or it is comic, depending on my mood while writing. I have one book out and another ready for publishing; both are fiction although the first is based on stories about my grandmother and the people who lived and worked at her boarding house. The new one is pure fiction and flirts with a moral statement. When this project is done, I want to try a mystery. I do a journal about childhood memories for my kids to have. It is basic stories about Christmas traditions, neighborhood tales, that sort of thing.
