My gmail account has me locked out because it says my browser won't allow cookies (it says it does) and I can't fix it no matter what I do, so I'm trying to keep up with things through the website. That's a little hard because I can't find some things. Of course, after I found some things on the Windows app and browser, I can't find them again. There was a place to report problems and room for replies, but I can't find it now so I can't get any answers from it. I really can't stand Windows 10. To try to get help you can only go to a computer, not a person, and it will answer everything but what you want answered because it doesn't understand the question.

Anyone have any idea how to fix these things? I am going to go to the library later to see if I can get to my gmail, which might be a problem because I don't remember the password. I can't get my passwords because I can't get my email. Just goes round and round.

I can't tell very well how Cassie is feeling, but she does stay really, really close to me. Other than that she seems to be feeling okay. She gets awfully hot and panting. She is getting spoiled about getting in the truck, though. Instead of jumping in she puts her front feet up on the side below the seat and looks at me to lift her in. So that could be meaning she doesn't feel good or else she is getting arthritis. I haven't gotten her golden paste made yet and need to figure how to make something with it so she will eat it. She still seems happy to go places and she still jumps up on the bed at night.

Today my truck wouldn't shift out of park, so I had a problem getting home. Then Danny (mechanic) found out that the tow truck driver broke my shifting cable to get it out of park to put on the tow truck. Only he didn't need to break a hundred dollar cable. Danny's going looking for a used one tomorrow and it will make fixing my truck a bit harder than it would have been with just the brake switch replaced.

Oh Darlene, I know that feeling too well, juggling to pay stuff, this seems to be a rough month for everyone. Our home also wasn't wired properly, can't have certain things on in the plugs that are on the same circuit or it pops the breaker. Can't afford to rewire though. Mark is trying to do the roof and that's slow going but it'll be good once it's done, it's metal. So far he's done about 1/4 of the back side of the house, but it's just him working by himself, after work and weekends, weather permitting, so it's slow going.

I love our library. I read when I pedal on the elliptical bike. I escape into the story and my minutes just go by so easily.

I really haven't been doing anything but the pickleball. I have been trying to find something to get rid of Cassie's fleas. Checked out the stuff the vet clinic recommends and cats can't be anywhere around the dog for 24 hours after using it. That will never work. Orzo loves his Cassie and there really isn't a way to keep them separate. It is really expensive stuff, too.

I did go to a clinic on putting up ceiling fans. Sounds like I have to have the entire house rewired to put one up because back when this house was built they didn't ground anything. I have also been reading some books from the library.

Was going to head back to the exercise class at the other rec center, but I don't have enough gas to last the rest of the month. I had to get more today and I don't really know how I am going to pay for it. Guess that will be taken from next month's check. Nothing is working out for me.

Rose, I feel so bad for you, it is so sad to work so hard all our life to end up sick like we are and not able to enjoy what we want to do when we should be able to enjoy it. My knees and legs are always hurting and it is so hard for me to do any extended walking now. I hope they can find a way go control your BP and heart rate. I can see how that can be a scary situation.

I would be concerned about you overheating while you are playing pickleball, Darlene. Glad you are able to get near the AC and I am glad you are playing something you enjoy. The beginning of August we will be going to see my best friends in Florida and her husband plays pickleball every day there with a group of people from where they live. He loves the game. What else have you been up to, Darlene?

It has been extremely hot here, going into the triple digits. Guess it is doing that all over the place. Boy, what weather we are having.

Have a good Saturday, hugs to all.....

That is awful having bad reactions to the anesthesia. I had trouble coming out of it once, but never did since. I don't think they had to use as much the other time, though, since they usually do the eye surgery with you awake and only a slight sedative to calm. They couldn't calm me without knocking me completely out. The problem one was I just don't breathe hard enough when I'm asleep, I guess, so every time I dosed back off because of the anesthesia I set off all their alarms.

We had 97 degrees today and tomorrow and Friday are suppose to be 100 or more. Today I didn't even want to turn on the oven and had to in order to make the wings for tomorrow's potluck. That will be outside, too. I did get my wings done and they are cooling. I will have to come home and reheat them for tomorrow. I am trying to figure out whether to put them all in one baking dish that has a cover or put them in a big bowl with a cover. I don't think either will fit in any bags I have, but maybe the baking dish will fit in one of the freezer bags from Walmart (the kind to bring frozen foods home in). That is going to be one hot potluck.

Oh Darlene it's always something taking our money, isn't it? I drove 2 Summers with no ac in a car, back when I was working. That was a nightmare, and I am not a heat lover to begin with.

I can't have surgeries so a pacemaker is out of the question unfortunately. I don't come round very easily from anaesthesia and was told I'm the sort that dies on the operating table. Not good at all.

I had a good night though. I've taken to drinking about 1/4 of a bottle of diet coke before bed to stimulate me a bit, last night my heart rate stayed at 42 or above so seems that helped a bit. Better than 33 by a long shot!

Hope everyone has a good Wednesday!

Rose, I am so sorry you are having so many problems. I sure hope they can get them figured out. Have they thought about a pacemaker to keep your heartrate more stable? That is what my friend has now since even after his surgery he had arrhythmia pretty bad, I guess.

Pickleball has been pretty hot, but if I get on the right side of the gym I can get in front of the air conditioning vents. So I try to get on that side. The fans in my house aren't doing much to cool things off and I have no AC in my truck anymore. Danny said he could fix it, but I can't afford the parts. Got charged for Cassie's chip and it was something I wasn't expecting. The expenses just keep coming and coming.

So glad you are all sorted and now able to rest and really settle in Linda. ME, issues going on still, last night heart rate was at 33, at 3am. I pedalled for 30 minutes and only managed to get it up to 39. I had a meltdown, sobbed in the bathroom for almost an hour, I was feeling so awful and so frustrated. Hubby ended up awake around 4.30am and asked if I was ok and I broke down again, had him stay home today as I was so scared of being alone.

Messaged both my doctor and cardiologist (have a visit with him Friday), he has changed the dosage of my BP patch but I worry that may give me more issues with my BP soaring so will have to see.

I hate to be so dependant and I just feel that way all the while now. I used to be so independant, now seems I worry all the time about either my heart rate or my BP, can't win.

Anyway, I'll try to pop on here again soon. I've been staying off FB as it makes my BP go up, so much negativity.

Take care ladies.

Hi Rose and Darlene, got our internet hooked up today so I am able to be back online finally. I really missed my laptop. I was able to use my phone for FB but it didn't work very well. Thank you for the birthday wishes, Darlene. I really thought your birthday was around mine.

Well we are all moved in and all unpacked. That feels good to have it done. We really did a great job getting it done. We have been so busy lately. With coming home from our grip to N.H. finish packing up the old apartment, moving what we could in our car to our new place, the movers coming and then unpacking everything once the movers came,

It has been very hot here, we are suppose to get a thunderstorm this afternoon.

I am glad to hear that you are back to playing pickleball; it must get hot though.

How are you feeling, Rose? Any better?

hugs...….

Linda, I'm glad you got moved in okay. For the evening TV, maybe rent a movie?

It's pretty warm here this week. Yesterday they said we would get a storm, but all we got at my house was wind for a while.

Got to pickleball early today and ended up playing for 40 minutes straight before there were very many there, so I figure I got in about 2 1/2 hours play today.

No, Linda, my birthday isn't in July. It was in April.

Hi Everyone, we had some earthquakes when I lived in NH sometimes but nothing like what California is getting.

Rose I wish they could figure out something that ‘would help cure your problem and make you feel better.

We moved into our new home on Monday, the 8th. We are pretty much all unpacked now except for two more bins and pictures to hang. We have been working really hard and we sure feel it!

Our cable isn’t working yet so we don’t have a tv to enjoy at night yet.

Darlene you never told me if your birthday is in July or not?

Hope everyone has a great day, it is very hot here, hope your temperature is bearable.

Hugs

I wouldn't want to live in California, either. We have had a few earthquakes in the past, but not like theirs. You can tell we had them,, though, because our walls cracked. Now many from California are moving here and they are much too liberal for us who have been here all our lives.

Linda, the foxes are not something to be afraid of here. Of course, I would not let Orzo out, but mainly they took rodents, squirrels and rabbits of animals and my neighbor's garden the first time they planted. Guess it's just as well that I didn't plant. I still have to mow, though.

Rose, I hope they can get your blood pressure problems figured out. That is very scary that it keeps fluctuating that much.

It is too bad that you couldn't get far at the park. We have free days at the national parks coming up, but I don't know that I can afford to get to any of them. It would be nice to go to some, though.

Linda, I hope your move goes completely smooth. It will be nice for you to get away from the noisy neighbors.

I didn't do anything for the 4th but finish reading a book. I have half a book left of the ones I got about a week ago, but was going through them so fast that I ordered some more and overdid it. I now have 12 books checked out. Yikes.

Today I went to a couple of farmers markets. One is really close to home and has gotten a lot bigger since they started last year. The other one is way up northwest and were celebrating Independence Day with free lunch and a small band. It wasn't much, but I enjoyed myself there. It was fun listening to the band. I had wanted to get something from there anyway, so this was just another excuse.

Oh yes, terrible what's happened in CA. Terrifying. I couldn't live there, I know. We had a very small earthquake here one time, and I was watching a bottle of water jiggle next to the tv and wondering why it was shaking and then heard a loud crack and a rumble ... like I said it was a small one. I think like a 2, and halfway across the state so really no danger to us.

Oh Darlene, the foxes are gone! I watch "my" deer and I hate when they don't come, they really brighten my day.

Linda, oh I do not envy you! I hate the stress of packing up and moving ... although getting a new place together exactly how you want it is fun. I hope all goes smoothly for you, and wish you many years of happiness in your new home.

My news, dr is running more tests to try to get to the bottom of my BP issues. She checked my endocrine system first, now she wants a sleep study and 2 ultrasounds, one on my kidneys and one on the arteries associated with them. Had to go ER again about 10 days ago and then again last night. I owe them over $7000 now for this year :( So much for AFFORDABLE Healthcare. Before I'd have owed about 1/4 of this. Sickens me

Today hubby and I went to Paris Mountain StatePark and it was really nice. Unfortunately, being a mountain, the pathways and trails are def not disabled friendly, way too steep. But it was nice to look down and see people down at the lake even if I couldn't get down there myself.

Take care. Will try to pop in again soon

Let's pray for all those poor people in California with those earthquakes, that must be so scary, and they say that more are coming,

Darlene, Am I having a senior moment or is your Birthday in July?

I am glad the foxes have moved on even though you enjoyed them.

We got the keys to our new home Friday and have been busy moving things over to the new place. The movers will come on Monday and we will sleep there Monday night. I am excited to be able to start unpacking.

Have a great day

Hugs,

Daddy fox told us goodbye for them about a month ago. I didn't realize he was telling us they were moving until I didn't see them for several days. He was sitting out by the evergreen bush one day when I took Cassie out and barked once. Then just sat and watched us. The next two nights he was sitting in the middle of the yard when we went out. He knew we were coming out because I was flipping on lights, yet just sat and watched until we went back inside. Very peaceful. I just talked to him while we were out there. About a week after that I realized he was thanking us for letting them use our yard. There was no fear of them attacking. Rather, if Cassie was loose, she went after them and they took off. I miss the foxes now. Never thought I would do that.

I hope you are able to get that move soon. That is horrible how your neighbors are acting. Are they setting off firecrackers, too. We have some of those in our neighborhood, but not really close to the house. I am hoping it will rain for a couple days this week, but it is only forecast 20% for Tuesday.

Hi Darlene, I am still nervous that you will get attacked by those foxes in your yard. You never know what they may do. Please don't take any chances.

I want to get a lot of plants to put in my new home after we move, some in every room, if we can.

We had to call the police on our neighbors again last night for the loud music. I am so anxious to move, and not have to listen to it any longer.

Did more packing on Saturday, don't have much left to pack now.

Have a good day today, suppose to be a hot day today. hugs to all....

I asked on NextDoor if anyone had any planting containers that their trees came in that they were getting rid of or any large pots. I got 6 really large pots, two of which still have some potting soil in them and also got several of the "transfer" type pots that they have trees or large plants in. Now I just need some more soil and the chance to get everything planted.

Still have the foxes here and it is fun to watch the kits play. Have to be more careful now since they are out more often. Still don't have any help to do anything in the yard. Maybe on the weekend Pete can help keep watch for the foxes so I can get to the areas I need to trim back. Usually there is no problem with the foxes, though, only if I surprise them and they get worried for the kits. I have told them that I'm not going to harm them, though, and they seem to understand that somehow.

Finally was able to take Cassie to the park for a walk. Wanted a chance to do some photography, but there wasn't anything there to photograph. Even flower gardens are late this year.

Buckets for tomatoes - go to your local supermarket that has it's own bakery and ices cakes and ask them if they can spare buckets that the icing comes in. When we had goats I used to get them regularly from our local Publix bakery section.

Sorry about those storms, they are awful. Hubby and I were just saying, we may be complaining about the heat we have here but it's actually pushing those storms back so we have been very lucky not to have them come our way, as they usually do, but are instead being pushed North and may even end up threatening my son in MY.

The transmission that we had to go into debt to fix, is whining and slipping in this hot weather, so I called today and hubby is taking it by there for them to look at tomorrow.

Stay safe my friends

We don't have any bright colored birds here. I think in the mountains they have blue birds, but the brightest bird around here is the robin and their breasts aren't all that bright. Mostly have black or black and white and brown birds.

We have been having heavy rain here and had some hail, but the tornadoes are north or east of here. There were 11 Sunday or Monday. I can't remember which day, just saw the information. The rain that came through last night took a lot of leaves off the trees, though. Guess it is good I haven't planted anything yet. I am still trying to figure out where to plant some because I don't know about planting down where daddy fox spends a lot of time. Maybe if I put the thin fence around it he will just sleep in back or in front of the garden, but I'm not too sure about going down there until they are gone. I am wondering about getting a small wading pool to plant some of the tomatoes in. I don't know if that will work with them being so shallow, though. They want so much for muck buckets that I can't afford them.

A friend of mine moved to Georgia this year to be near her family. She had a post on Facebook showing a view from space of earth, Georgia and the sun. Did you know that Georgia is only about 1/4 the distance from the sun that the rest of the earth is?

We see cardinals also, they are such pretty birds. Our temps are still around 100 degrees right now, suppose to go down to about 96 by Friday.

Are you getting any of those bad storms in your area, Darlene?

Gralan, so good to hear from you again, hear have missed you., what have you been up to lately?

Rose, take care with the heat, how are you feeling?

Have to go and do some more packing today, talk more later.

We've been getting some cardinals showing up with the sparrows looking for food under the trees in these parts. I do have to admit growing up in them thar hills from 11-19, and I got to liking critters just fine. hahaha
So now that I'm again a city-dwelling smog breather, we have to settle for a few birds, cats, and possums once in a while as well. That's okay, we couldn't keep a cow on our patio anyways.

Hee Haw.

Awww that sounds so cute, I love watching wildlife, they are a free smile-maker I think.

Yes we have a couple of fans we put strategically. To help push the cool through to other rooms as needed.

Rose, that is just too hot without something to cool off. I have a room A/C, but it blows the breaker when I try to use it, so I usually just have a fan on when it gets high like that. I have seen these little A/Cs that look like they would be nice. I think they are battery operated, but I'm not sure. They are $40.

We still haven't been above the low 80s, which I am grateful for. I don't like the colder days, though.

I have been enjoying watching the foxes. One of the kits keeps playing with daddy, jumping on his back side. Daddy will often either just walk away or sit down and let baby play. I have only seen mommy twice, so it took me a while to figure out that it is daddy I am always seeing. There are 3 kits living here and I am trying to get a ton of pictures.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Always remember what the day stands for.

Ugh this hot weather has been awful. It was 90s and without the AC I get nauseated, my BP and heart rate shoot up, and I can barely breathe. I hate having to give Duke Power so much, and I do only use window ac so consolidating where it cools, and fans, so even then my bill is way lower than most people's in my area.

It was my birthday on Friday, 64! WOW where did all those years go? Then again with 5 great grandkids (3 of whom are in school already now!) and another on the way, I guess I couldn't be any younger. LOL

My daughter called me with my grandson, and they sang happy birthday to me just as they were about to go to bed (I'd been out running around all day so she hadn't been able to catch me on Facebook). That was nice.

Hubby has a 4 day weekend for Memorial Day, and tomorrow our local O' Charley's is giving a free meal to veterans for Memorial Day, so we will be going there. I've found I can get by on having a salad as my side and a honey chicken with no honey LOL.

Take care everyone, stay safe and well

I do best when the temperature is 58-80 degrees; colder or warmer than that tends to make me feel justified in being grumpy. My wife doesn't like me when I'm grumpy, but unfortunately, I don't know which of the 7 dwarves she'd like me to be.

I can sure understand why you are wanting to move. How very inconsiderate of your neighbor. It's good that your pictures weren't knocked off the wall.

I don't want the 90s, especially since I don't have air conditioning anywhere, but I would like the 70s back, at least. It is only going to be in the low 40s for the next few days. I had to turn my heater back up. It was 64 in here yesterday and that is only where the space heater is. It has also been raining and tomorrow we might get snow again, mixed with the rain. Of course, then I don't have to water the lawn and have one. I'd rather have the warm rain. And also a chance to get the back yard cleaned up and mowed. Have to start with the mower at the highest level and work down.

Got a couple plants for outside and transplanted one of my Christmas cacti. I haven't been able to get the smaller cactus transplanted because the soil is like cement. I have it soaking in the tub (in the pot) so that it will soften enough that I can loosen the soil and roots. I guess I need to transplant more often. The outside plants are suppose to attract butterflies and one hummingbirds (though I doubt I'll get hummingbirds to it). I am hoping the white one can be divided and I will put it out by the red rose. I also hope it blooms through the summer. It was on sale. The other I hope will grow out back and it looks like I will have to move a few things since the neighbors are getting ready to replace their fence (that very old fence is falling apart and nothing will keep it together). I have plants that are actually in the 1-foot of their property that had to be left when the original fence was put in. Come to think of it, that will put the elm tree on their side of the fence. Pete said they are getting a surveyor to make sure everything goes right. I hope I can get the plants to grow when I move them some.

It is 12:48 am and I am still up and unable to sleep thanks to my next door neighbor who has decided it was time to play loud music. When we laid down in bed it was vibrating in our heads through our pillows, so we had to get up and come back into the living room and hope they turn it off soon. My hubby wants to call the police, I am afraid of the damage someone could do to our car if he does that. I am so glad we will be moving soon. We did get our approval for our new home and when we get back from our vacation at the end of June, we will go and pick a home that we will be taking and hopefully be moving the 2nd week of July.
We want to be all packed up in our apartment where we currently live before we leave to go on our vacation. Today we took down all the pictures off the walls and packed them, Yesterday we went to the new church that we will be attending. It is still under construction and everyone was very nice and friend

It is suppose to be in the 90's all week this week, glad I have air conditioning.

We are in the 80s for most of this week. Today when I was mowing the lawn it was at least 84 (it was 84 about an hour before, anyway), Then we are supposed to get rain, I think. It will drop to upper 60s or 70s for a while.

Yesterday I joined the exercise class that I was watching. It looked like something that wouldn't be too hard on my body. Boy, was I wrong. I couldn't even soak the soreness away last night. They use stability balls and getting ready for one of the exercises I fell backwards off the ball. How embarrassing. I'm going to have to blow up the stability ball I have here so that I can learn to use one without falling off the back of it. Also used is lightweight dumbbells and resistance bands.

Got a little more done on the dog painting I am doing. I don't think there will be any chance to work on it the next two weeks there. The class does a little good for something like that, but mainly for others in the class. There is one lady there that pretty much keeps the teacher helping her the entire two hours. So far she has mainly helped me figure out what colors to mix together since my book I got seems all wrong (following the book advice I ended up with a green dog). She has glanced at it a few times after and said it looked good (not that good, though, from my perspective) and made a couple suggestions, but that's all.

I get back here on Tuesdays and I am just beat. Of course, I'm pretty much worn out most of the week, anyway.

I'm glad you might be able to move soon. sounds wonderful.

Waiting to hear back if we get the approval on our new home, if so, we might be moving in July.

Wow, Snow Darlene, that is a nasty word, LOL, glad you got to ply pickle ball anyways. it is suppose to go into the 90's later this week.

Rose hope you start feeling better real soon. Please take it easy.

Linda, that sounds wonderful to be able to move into a house in September.

Rose, I hope your BP and all are straightening out by now.

I got back from pickleball about an hour ago. It was really crowded today, maybe because of the weather. It snowed from about 10 last night. Wasn't a heavy enough snow to do much sticking and wasn't sticking at all by the time we got out, though still snowing lightly. I'm hoping it is over this cold soon. I thought it was May, not winter. Guess Colorado doesn't know when winter is.

Fox kits must be real brats. The fox is curled up out in the snowy rain and has been out in the rain the last day or two. I just saw her curling up out there.

Linda, that sounds like a really good move for you. Apartment living is so easy to get tired of. The convenience of not having to do maintenance like mow and trim sounds good to begin with, but the annoyance of neighbours so close, thin walls, etc often ruins the whole thing. And as you say, you have no idea who your new neighbours might be.

I'm having a weird day, BP keeps fluctuating, heart rate staying low, just feeling a bit off. But still better than a full blown session so I am thankful.

Good Morning hope everyone is doing well this morning. I am heading out to go grocery shopping shortly.

Another piece of news I have to share with you that no one knows about yet, is Dan & I might be moving sometime in September. Currently we live in a apartment building with people upstairs and next door. People upstairs are moving out and we won't know who are new neighbors will be because we will be away for most of next month., and other times during the summer. Anyways Dan & I were talking about looking for another place to live and I found a place that had some nice homes to rent so I asked Dan to take a ride yesterday just to check them out and we fell in love with them. We talked with some people that were outside and they said they love living there .Long story short, looks like we will go back and take with them in July and set something up to get a place to move into in September. very happy about all of that, hope it all works out.

Oh Darlene, she's gorgeous! When we first got our goats, back in 2003, 2 young foxes were playing in the field. I called wildlife because I thought they might be rabid as they were totall not afraid of me, and were chattering back and forth. He laughed and told me ... "er, they "like" each other, it's Spring, it's mating season" LOL. When I was breeding my goats I used the trade name "Little Foxes", but I only bred a couple then stopped registering them, as I wasn't showing.

I use either Bloc by Purely or Deep Blue by DoTerra. Yes talk to Cherrie's SO and see what she can tell you. I massage mine in and it seems I have relief within minutes, maybe 10 or so.

Hope you have a lovely evening, and find some relief from your pain.

Rose

Rose, I am sorry that you have been having so many problems. I hope that what they have done now works. It is terrible that you cannot get the financial assistance for something like that.

What oils would you use for the pain? I have used Deep Relief, but I guess I am not using it correctly. I know that at the horse expo one year Cherrie's SO used it on me and it worked great. Me using, not so well. Maybe I should email her and see what I am doing wrong. Also haven't been to see Alice yet and found out she is going out of town the end of this week through next weekend.

I have been trying to get some good photos so I can use them to try some mini-paintings. Haven't got what I want yet, so Cassie and I are going to head out in a little bit and try again. Meanwhile, this is one I got looking out the window to my back yard this morning. I just found out she has at least one kit. I probably saw it last week, but when I looked again it was gone.

She just keeps making herself comfortable out there and I have to leash Cassie and take her out.

Hi ladies, been MIA again. I had 5 ER visits and one stay in 6 weeks, and yesterday heard I'd been turned down for financial assistance so about $6000 they'll be getting in small weekly increments. There are about 10 diff bills so they'll each get $5 either weekly or every 2 weeks, depending on if I can swing it. All to do with A Fib and blood pressure. I didn't even know BP could go to 224/125 until I saw it on my monitor! They did a CT scan to make sure there were no bleeds, and an ultrasound of my heart to make sure I hadn't had a heart attack with my tachycardia. Both results were good.

Drs have changed my meds. Cut my levothyroxine down to 100mcg from 125 as the reg thyroid test was 0.09 (should have been 4.2-4.5) and the T4 was very high normal, he said almost into hypothyroidism. Which he thought could be a contributing factor to my A Fib episodes.

Also changed my BP meds. Hospital had given me clonidine and I was ok with it, and it worked. Trouble is, it slows heartrate which the metoprolol, lisinopril and amlodipine all did too. Heartrate went DOWN to 33 which starts feeling funny just as much as when it goes too fast, so I am now off al 3 of the others and doing the Clonidine twice daily. Even so, at night, my heart rate is low 40s but every time I get up to pee, I sit and kind of march my legs and pump my arms just to help the circulation a bit.

Cardiologist also put me on amiodarone to help regulate my heart rate. 2 weeks of the new meds and so far no problems. For which - as you can guess - I am extremely thankful.

Sorry about the stomach bug and sore back. Have you ever tried oils for pain? Pills never worked for me, but oils have done me pretty well as far as helping with pain.

I have missed you ladies. I'll try to get in here again more.

Love ya

Rose

We do have lakes and a couple reservoirs. The reservoirs have beaches of a sort, I guess, but not like you have. They are also in state parks, so you have to pay to get to them.

My back is better, though since I have been sleeping a lot due to the stomach bug/problem it is hurting. Yesterday I did a little yard work and that made it hurt, too, even though I had the back wrap on it.

Today was quiet for me. My stomach is still acting up, so I stayed home and slept. That's 3 days in a row.

We have 70s temperature today. Tomorrow, 30s and probably snow. At least snow in the mountains. Of course, that's when I will be feeling better. Not when it is nice like today.

Hi Darlene How is your back doing? better, I hope. My best friend is having knee surgery next week. She had one knee done already, now she is having the other one done.
I am going to visit her in Florida in July.

That is a bummer that you don't have any beaches near you. Do your have any lakes?

How was your Sunday? Mine was quiet.

You are really getting hot there. We are still going up and down. It was in the 60s today, I think was 70s yesterday and should be 70s for 2 or 3 days, then Monday it's suppose to be the low 50s with rain and snow.

I'm glad you didn't run into the snake when you were at the beach. It would be nice to have a beach to go to. I just go to the mountains if I have the gas to do that. I have a lifetime pass now to the national parks, but with price of gas going up I don't think I can afford to even get to Rocky Mountain National Park, which is the closest to here. There are a few down at the southwest end of the state, too. and northern Wyoming and Montana. I would just like to be able to go see some places.

Last week I had a really bad back problem and it went into my hips so that I could barely stand up. Of course, that was at pickleball, so I pushed through. I did call the doctor's office and they gave me an appointment for May 15. That was the soonest she had an opening -- 2 that day only. Since then I got a back wrap and have been wearing it while I play. I have been trying to drink more and my back is doing a lot better. Now it is back to hurting only the way it did before, which I am glad of. If it gets really bad again before my appointment I will call Alice again and see if she can help. She was going to the day before Easter, but ran out of time, which was okay since my back didn't hurt at all then.

I've had a fox visiting my yard recently. Don't know if you saw the picture on FB. The fox just lay down in the garden plot and took a nap. I took the picture through an open window. I don't know if that fox has been living under the patio or not. I haven't seen any kits, just the big fox.

Hope your migraines go away without you having to have those shots again.

Hi Darlene, went to a new beach on Monday, it was close to 90 degrees. It was a beautiful beach. A bunch of kids had picked up a bunch of dead jelly fish and put them in a circle and mad this grave yard for them. So I guess the beach had jellyfish. We didn't go in the water because I thought it was probably still too cold, even though a lot of people were in the water. Then later on, in the news we heard how on that same beach they had a huge snake under someone's tent and they showed the lifeguard trying to catch it as it was crawling all over the beach.

They are repaving our parking lot in our apartment complex, we are so glad because we had such bad pot holes.

I don't feel so great today, have a migraine and I haven't had one of these in a very long time. I was getting Botox shots for them and I stopped the shots because I thought I was done with migraines, I hope they aren't coming back

Hope things are going well for you, Darlene and you are well. We are going to Bingo in the morning at the senior center Should be fun. Talk to you soon. hugs

Sounds like a good senior center.

We don't have any car races very close to Denver anymore. They do have some about an hour north of me (maybe a half hour north of Denver), but I don't know if they have many races. Oh, I do remember that Bandamere is close in town. Just didn't think of them. They just have drag races. I did mark them down because they have Classic Car Races. I'd like to be able to see my cousin's old car. I know that someone restored it a couple years ago. When I think of car races, though, I think of NASCAR. There used to be 2 tracks right in town.

The man from church is coming tomorrow to see what all needs done in my yard to see if some of the youth can help me out. I would just like a lot of work done that I can't really do. I don't know if enough youth would be willing to help out or how much it might cost to get the help.

Hi went to the senior center this afternoon to see a movie for just $1 and that included popcorn and a drink. We saw Green Book. It was a excellent movie and a true story.

Tonight we are going to a local track to see some car racing, we haven't been to see that in a long time, should be fun.

Tomorrow will be church in the late afternoon and Sunday will be quiet. Hope everyone else has a good weekend. hugs.....

We had 78 on Tuesday. Yesterday rain and snow, today sun but only 35. I saw something about another small storm coming in before the weekend. Because of the weather I didn't get to pickleball this morning. I figured it would be too icy and most businesses had said they wouldn't be open because they predicted another bomb cyclone like we had last month. I am glad it didn't get that bad. I haven't been outside to see what it did to the tulips or the hen and chicks.

Went out on Sunday with a friend and had Chinese food. I had 3 meals with it, but the last one wasn't too good for my gut. Today I am doing okay, though, as long as I don't sneeze or cough. If I do that it really makes my stomach hurt. She also gave me a tote bag with butterflies on it and her older microwave (not very old, but she doesn't need it anymore).

How are things going Darlene? What have you been up to? We went for a free hearing test at the senior center yesterday. I had a severe loss in my left ear and a loss in my right one but not as severe.. They had told me before that I had a severe loss in my left ear after my stroke. They wanted me to think about a hearing aid but I told them I wasn't interested right now.

WE are going to the gym after breakfast this morning. We haven't been going as faithfully as we had planned, need to do better.

Have yourself a great day today, our temps are suppose to be in the 80's today with a chance of possible showers. hugs....

The beach trip sounds interesting. I wish I could go see something like that. There are some places in Colorado, but too far for me to use gas for. There is a petrified forest (I think that's it) west of Colorado Springs and there are several things down in the Springs. There are some places that would be interesting in the Denver area, too, but they cost so much to get in. I think the cheapest is $12 entry, though I might be able to find some through the library and there are a couple museums that have some low admission if you have SNAP so I might be able to go to them sometime. Nothing like your beach, though.

Are you left handed? My painting class is okay, but I am not too good at it. I really should have been working on some drawing but have been doing some other things. Was wondering if you can maybe try the drawing with your right hand. I know that there have been people now draw with their mouth. I don't think I could do something like that or even try to draw with my left hand. What the heck, I can't draw with my right hand. It is tracing for my painting.

Hi Darlene, my back has been bothering me a lot lately too. How are your painting classes coming along. I wish I could do that, but I know I wouldn't be able to do it since I can't really use my left hand much.

My husband, Dan decided yesterday that he wanted to go on another adventure. So we went to a place called Jekyll Island which is along the coast of Georgia about 2 hour from where we live. We went to a beach called Driftwood Beach. It is quite the sight to see. I will post some pictures of the beach. Some call it a graveyard beach but some call it beautiful, some actually get married on this beach. In 1962 there was a hurricane that up rooted the trees all over the beach. Over the years, the seasalt water and sun changed the trees that uprooted to driftwood. So all over the beach are these uprooted trees that are now driftwood trees. it is quite the view Google the beach and you can see a lot of the pictures, it is very interesting.

That happens to me all the time losing messages. Or the curser jumps around and I can't find where it is. This computer the entire screen moves up and down and I don't know why.

That senior center sounds pretty nice. When I have gone to meetings at the hospitals it is just cheese, crackers and fruit that they have. (my screen is jumping all over now emoticon ). The thing that the city counselwoman has goes to different places and I have noticed some have something to eat, others don't. There is something going on in April, but I don't know what or where. In June they are meeting at the Rec Center I play ball at and teaching pickleball. Oh, that is going to make it hard to get all the time in playing if many decide they like it. Of course, some of them might be closer to a couple of the other rec centers, which would make it nice. Ours is the most crowded, though.

Haven't been doing much. Today I did a little work so I can get some Hen and Chicks planted, but had to stop after a while because my back was hurting. It has been hurting a lot lately. It makes it hard to play pickleball. I found an old back wrap massager that needs a cord (that I can't find) that I am using to wrap it with. I am going to try to find something that will help more. Not sure where to find one, though.

We've had the 70s the last two days. Tomorrow is dropping back down again (50s I think), then 40s and upper 30s the next 3 days, then back up to 50s. Would be nice if it would at least be in the 60s.

Last week I started a painting class. We are doing drawing right now and that is bad for me. I can't get things to look like anything. But I should be able to get the help on Abby's picture, so I might pull it out next week. A couple people are working on their own projects now, anyway.

Hi I wrote a nice note about what my hubby, Dan & I were up to yesterday and then I did a spell check on what I wrote and before I could hit post I lost my complete message and couldn't get it back.. I hate when that happens. I didn't feel up to writing it again, my hand was hurting. Last Friday we joined another senior center and yesterday they had a breakfast where they had a speaker for how to be your own health advocate. it was held at a hospital so they served so hospital food and they had scrambled eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, biscuits, bacon, sausage , juice & coffee. Then later in the afternoon we went to the movies to see A Star is born and before the movie started they had some doctors talk to us about dementia and Alzheimer's disease. It was very interesting. You could sign up for a clinical study to see if you could be a candidate for these disease. I have it in my family genes and since I have had a stroke and have brain damage, I signed up, Dan did too.

We had a very busy day. Tonight we are going out with others from the senior center for dinner at a Chinese restaurant that hey picked out. Should be fun.

Suppose to be going in the 80's this weekend. I am betting that Dan will want to go to the beach and just sit in the sun. The beach is 20 minutes from us.

That would be nice to go through. I am like you, though. I wouldn't want to get out because of the alligators. When Dad and I went to Texas and Oklahoma we went through a wild animal refuge in Oklahoma and I enjoyed that. I think it is the only one I have ever been in. That was back in 1988, though. We went to the Cutting Horse Futurity in Fort Worth and the Reining (horse) Futurity in Oklahoma City that year.

We have a place near here that cares for a lot of wild animals, but I think they are having to close it. They can't get more land that they need. I don't know what they will have to do with the animals if they have to close it down.

yesterday was hubby's birthday and we went to a wildlife refuge place in the state next door to us, South Carolina. You were able to take a 4 mile drive through it to see what you could see. We saw many different kinds of birds, turtles, 2 alligators, one person saw a bobcat but we weren't lucky enough to see him. I didn't want to get out of the car because the bugs were bad and I was worried about the alligators. But we had a good time. I would love to go back again. I will try to post some pictures.

That sounds like a nice time. We don't really have much to sightsee, I don't think, except for going to museums, zoo, and botanic gardens. Well, I guess that is a lot to sightsee. I was just thinking of things you would see without having to go inside places. That would be better in the Colorado Springs area.

That sounds awful with your husband. Do you think it was something caught in his throat that might have needed heimlick maneuver? I'm glad that he was finally able to breathe again. That would have really been scary.

We had the 65 degree weather on Tuesday, which was really nice. Yesterday, not so nice. It got to maybe 33 and snowing and really high winds. Winds blew down a couple trees up the street (and possibly in my yard) and the power went out about 12:30. It finally came back on at about 9:30 this morning. My neighbor and I were at another neighbor's house this morning, where we were invited to warm up. Another neighbor drove us over there just so we wouldn't take a chance on slipping on the nice. Just 2 doors down on the other side of the street. It was only our side of the street and in back of the houses to the west of me, and the shopping center.

We have a big St Patrick's Day parade here, too, but I never go down to it. I don't think I really want to go to any of the parades anymore because of how they have changed. They used to be a celebration. Now they are sick political events.

I wonder how Rose is doing, too. Also other people who haven't been on here for a while.

Hi Darlene, been busy lately, my oldest DD was here visiting for a few days with 3 of my grandchildren and her MIL . We spent some time sightseeing in Savannah. WE had a good time.
My hubby gave me quite the scare a few days ago. During breakfast, he had a coughing fit and then all of a sudden he couldn't breathe. His face was bright red. He was trying to breathe but couldn't and it was getting worse, he was turning colors. I sked if I should call a ambulance. Just when I was getting ready to dial the phone he was able to start breathing on his own again. He scared me so bad, I thought he was a goner and he said he thought he was one too. He said he was never so scared in his life before.

This weekend is going to be a major weekend in Savannah, it is St Patrick's Day and that is a big holiday here in Savannah. They turn the fountain in one of the big parks that has water coming out of all the fountains green. They have a huge parade, it is a huge deal.

It is in the 70's this week, maybe hitting the 80's. Trees are starting to blossom.

Hope you are having a good day, Darlene. Hope Rose is doing well.

Hugs......

Oh, I want 62 degrees (outside, warmer inside). We had something in the 40s and it's been getting colder, getting ready for the artic blasts to hit. Supposedly the 1st from the northwest and the 2nd (tomorrow night) from the east. Tomorrow's high is suppose to be in the 20s and Sundays in the teens. It's suppose to start snowing tomorrow afternoon or evening and continue until mid-afternoon Sunday. Not making me happy.

Today I had Bible study, then went shopping for a little food. Couldn't find exactly what I wanted, but got a little bit. Yesterday I only had enough for a cheap loaf of bread and an almond milk (for my golden milk). Forgot Orzo only had one serving of food left, so I had to go back out again to get some. Tomorrow I think I will stay home. Don't know about Sunday. I have missed the last two weeks of church, so really need to go Sunday. Just don't know what the snow is going to do.

Sorry about your sad memories.

I noticed on FB that they have some vintage car races near here. I am thinking I would like to see a couple of those if I can. I had a cousin who use to race a 41 or 49 (can't remember the year) Woodys (I think that is what it was) and someone has fully restored it. I'd like to see if it is in any of those. Years ago some friends and I went to the races and saw one of my Dad's cars in it. That was a surprise, but the only reason Dad got rid of it was the rear end went out. That car could outpull a good pickup.

We got up to 41 today. It's suppose to be 55 tomorrow, then drop again then up again, then drop for a few days.

Here's the picture of the picture Anne did for me.

Good Morning , weekend for a sad one for me, Saturday marked the 15th anniversary of my Mom's passing, I was sad all weekend, I was very close to her. It was a quiet weekend.. watched a car race that was in Atlanta, Ga, It was a uneventful race but we enjoyed watching it. We love car racing.

It is suppose to be around 67 degrees today and sunny. Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday. hugs...…

That was nice of your friend to give you that picture of Fancy, you should post it here so I can see it, I would like that. Hope your cat behaves so you can sleep better.

I'm sorry you are having problems with the constipation. I hope you finally got relief.

I stayed up most of the night last night because when it got around time for bed I ended up wide awake. So around 3:00 I finally started falling asleep. That would be okay, but I have this cat that wants fed early in the morning so I can't sleep in. I had about an hour nap today, but I think I need to go to sleep earlier tonight. Have to drag the trash out on my way leaving for pickleball in the morning.

Sunday my friend brought me one of those pictures on canvas of Fancy. She had it made from a photo I took of Fancy when she was maybe 12 or 13. I think after she had Sassy, at least, because of the halter she is wearing. She had already put 6 of my photos in a frame for me.

Hi It is 1:30 in the morning in the morning and I am still up. I am constipated and feeling very uncomfortable. Hoping I can go to the bathroom so I can go to bed for the night. I had some Mirolax today and drank some tea for constipation but it hasn't worked yet. We are having rain and coastal flooding and the temps are around in the 40's.

Glad to hear you are still playing pickle ball. Good exercise for you. Lert me know when you make it out to the stable, okay?

We are planning on going to the aerobic classes at the center later today.

Have a good day hugs...….

We are having freezing cold days this week. Yesterday and today it snowed most of the day and was only in the teens today as far as I know. At least it was that cold while I was out. Today pickleball day again. There weren't a lot of people there today so I think I might have had more than 2 hours actual play time. A few of the games I played were long games, too.

My eye has been doing pretty well and I think I am seeing a little better. I have been able to see the print if not the smallest on the TV without my glasses. Today I did have a little "gnat" floater for a while, though. That is the first I have seen since the procedure.

I haven't been out to the stable yet. I don't know when I will be able to go. Still am having problems with finances. I thought that LEAP was going to make a payment this month, but none has been made. I looked at the comparison of last year's utilities and this years and I have needed 3 times as much this year as last. Guess even with several warm days it has been more cold than last year.

That is too bad that you couldn't get to the senior center today. It would have been nice to start. I am going to have to start getting back to a couple classes I was taking. I don't think that I will get back into essentrics for a while. That is a little too hard for me. I will go back to the senior yoga and classic and maybe try some stuff at home with one of those big balls.

It isn't even 6:30 yet and I am ready for bed. Can't do that, though, because I have to feed and let Cassie out fairly late so she can make it until I can let her out in the morning.

I wrote a long message here yesterday but it disappeared before I could post it, I hate when that happens. How is your eye doing, Darlene since your laser procedure? Do you see much better? Have you made it out to the stable yet to get Fancy's tail?

We watched the Daytona 500 car race on TV on Sunday, we love car racing. There were a lot of accidents towards the end of the race but thankfully no one was hurt. Yesterday we had planned on going to the senior center to start taking our aerobics classes and toning classes but someone from Comcast came, which we expected to fix our TV because there were a couple of channels we weren't getting and they have been trying to fix them for us and finally yesterday they did. But about 15 minutes before we were suppose to leave for the senior center, the mainaintance guy from the building where we live came over to replace a faucet that we had that was leaking. So that blew out chances of going yesterday, have to wait until Wednesday now. Today they have game day at the center, we might go to that, not sure yet. Hope everyone has a good day. Suppose to get a lot of rain today. They have a coastal flood watch out today. hugs...…..

My weekend was good, but lazy. Friday I had the laser procedure on my eye, which went very well. I took the light rail and bus to get there, then on the way home I went over and got some Chinese meal, then back to catch the light rail on back home. (I had a regional day pass which allows me to go anywhere by bus for 24 hours.

Saturday I had my Keto class, which went well, even though my diet isn't going too great. Today I ate some of the chicken I got yesterday and that made me sick (was okay last night, though). Tomorrow I am going to get some bread again to see if that will help my stomach do better. Not on a Keto diet, but I can't help it.

Yesterday I went to church, then went a couple places looking for things. Got groceries and a crossword book and found something to catch hair in the laundry tub. Hope that one will work.

Weather has been on the cool side, though yesterday did get a little warmer and sunny. Then got breezy. Wednesday is supposed to warm up some.

I haven't gone back out to the stable yet, so don't have Fancy's little cut of tail. When I get it I will wash it and put some Animal Scents (Young Living salve) on it and put it with Sassy's and her baby's. Not sure when I will try going out there, though. I think of things and I cry for Fancy and all my other fur babies I have had. I do hope that Jack's owner won't mind if I go to visit him sometimes. Otherwise, maybe Ginny will let me go over and see her horses, even if I just look from the fence.

I hope that they don't have to stop all the carriage rides there. Somehow they have to make sure there isn't anything to spook the horses like happened, though. Either shut down the carriage rides when there is construction like that going on or not do the construction in the hours when carriage rides happen. It would be a shame for something that has been going on like that for so long to have to stop.. It is something that the town is known for, I think. As long as the horses are treated well, though. I have heard that the ones in New York are often abused, which is very sad.

Hi Darlene, how was your weekend? was is your weather like? my hubby was sick in bed all day yesterday, hope he is better when he gets up this morning. We joined a senor center this weekend, looking forward to going there and meeting new people and doing some things. We will go today if hubby feels okay when he gets up.

Wonder how Rose is doing, haven't heard from her in awhile?

Did you get the piece of Fancy's tail yet? WE have like a city market here and they have horses that pull carriages to give people rides. Well the other day while this horse was giving people a ride on the carriage, some construction workers spooked the horse and made the horse go wild and the horse ended up tipping the carriage and the horse fell and got hurt and 7 people got hurt too. Now they are wondering if they should continue with the horse rides or not. I think the horse is going to be all right.

Not productive. I don't think I did anything on Saturday. Yesterday after church I went to Petco to get some kitty litter. The one I started to go to was closed and I ended up way over southwest. I found a couple types of canned food for Orzo to try and got some stuff for in the water for helping with their breath (both dog and cat). Went to my old stable and left the leftover treats for someone there to give her horse. Stopped at Murdock's to see if either of my old friends might have stopped there after the barn, but they weren't there. I did get a bit sad when I went by the horse feed. I don't cry a lot, but I do off and on.

After going to those places I tried to find out about a problem with getting the thumb drives into my computer, but that didn't work out. Found out that Office Depot now has a yearly charge thing like The Geek Squad for work on computers. Only about 1/3 the cost, though. I will get an appointment at the library to work on it and find out how to get something opened like Office to put things on and also why my thumb drives are not going in. That is if I can remember.

I keep forgetting to make phone calls I need to make. I need a new credit card since the chip doesn't work. Needed to make arrangements for transportation to the eye clinic and forgot. So I am trying to figure out the bus schedule to get there. I used to drive, but they took out all the parking.

I had a pretty busy weekend and it went by fast. WE cleaned the house on Saturday and I did all my laundry and then on Sunday I spent the day cooking. I wanted to make some meals so we would have some things to eat during the week. Then I cooked some baked potatoes for dinner last night and had different toppings to put on them to eat while we watched the Super Bowl game. We put broccoli , bacon, cheese and sour cream on them. They were good. Very busy and tiring weekend but a good one and productive one. How was yours?

I've been playing my usual pickleball, then wandering around thinking I want to do this or that, but then decide not to. Yesterday I got to pickleball early (7:45) because I hadn't slept all night and then played until they kicked us out. The first hour there we dinked (practice shots back and forth) and then played a game, so already had a full hour in by 8:45. So I figure there was actual 3 hours play time. Boy, were my legs tired. Then I wanted some Chinese for lunch, but couldn't get a parking space and ended up going looking for another place. Didn't find any, though.

We've had nice weather since Tuesday when it snowed. That's suppose to continue until Tuesday, I think. Then snow again. I wish it would at least wait until Wednesday so I don't have to drag the trash out in the snow and cold. We aren't getting up to 70, though.

Hi, How are you doing Darlene? What have you been doing? What have your temperatures been like. it has been a little cold for us but nothing like the Midwest. It is in the 30's in the morning but warms up to the 50's. It is suppose to be in the 70's by the end of next week. I can't wait.

Rose, How are you doing? We haven't heard from you in quite a while now. I am getting worried about you.

Life has ben hard lately but I am getting through it. Just have to keep on going, right?

I would never have thought of it. Someone at the last barn gave me a bit of Sassy's and her baby's tails when I had to put her down (foaling problem and he didn't live through it and she got torn up inside) put in a basket. I am going to clean Fancy's and put that in, too. I wish I had thought of something like that when I lost Amboy. I have a painting I did of Fancy years ago and one I had started of her. Someone else did one that I was thinking of doing of Sassy and her baby running in the pasture at Rainbow Bridge. Maybe I will be able to do one of Amboy from old photos I found of him.

I still have to get the painting done of Abby (the neighbor's dog). Pete told me her cancer has come back. So sad. Their little girl has grown up with her. They got Abby 3 years before Lucy.

It's cold today. We had 50 degrees yesterday, 20 today with snow.

I went to the Keto Reset class Saturday. Now I have 6 chapters to read in the book for it by next week, plus a few other things to do for it. I'm not going to go completely Keto, but maybe start it, then just get back to the really low carb. I don't want to increase my fat to more than it is now. It is high enough. Besides, I don't want to completely give up some things like potatoes and fruit. But I will try the Keto snacks and desserts. Saturday we had a sample of "ice cream" which was just some coconut milk poured over mostly frozen berries. Came out like soft serve. It would be a little more like ice cream if it was blended.

That is very nice of Monte ,Darlene. You should frame the tail in a shadow box so you can hang it on your wall, that would be such a tribute to Fancy.

Monte said he will get me some of her tail. Then he called the guy from Watkins that buries the horses on his property. That is where Sassy and her son are and I think also Amboy.

One of the ladies at pickleball gave me a nice card today. Gave me a few tears, but it was very nice of her and I actually stayed pretty calm. I guess since I knew it was coming soon with Fancy I haven't been as bad as I would have thought I would be. Still hurts, of course. But I am just trying to keep on going with my life.

I am doing okay. I have times I start crying again, but I guess I have been preparing for it for a long time. Fancy would have been 34 in April and that is pretty old for a horse. Thursday when I was out there I could tell she wasn't feeling too well, though she didn't seem like she was in pain and I didn't expect it to be that soon,, but probably within a couple weeks. Monte said it looked like she just laid down and that was it.

I will go to see Jack, her little buddy (not mine) some after some time. He needs attention, too. He is sad.

I am broken hearted today. Monte called this afternoon to let me know that Fancy died last night. I got her when she was a year old and she was almost 34.

The girl does dance for about 5 minutes, but then tires of it pretty fast. Maybe I can check downstairs for some of my old games. My folks never threw them away, so I think I have some down there like Chutes and Ladders. Can't remember the others. I don't think she's ready for Tripoly or Clue. We did do a puzzle last summer or fall.

I have been playing pickle ball twice a week as long as the rec center is open. Just can't stop it. Tomorrow is free day at the Stock Show, though, so I might not stay for the whole time since I will go to the Stock Show. Somehow they actually have free day the same day they have a horse show going on.

I tried something new that I got at Natural Grocers yesterday. A purple sweet potato. I put it in my soup I am making. Now I have purple soup and purple chicken. Also have a rutabaga in it to see what those are like, rainbow carrots, and a couple of potatoes and a can of tomatoes. Hope it turns out okay. It takes up the entire 3 quarts in that pot.

Hope things are going well for you and all the others on this team.

Hi Darlene. maybe you could ask the little girl what she would like to do while you are caring for her/ Maybe you could do a exercise class with her, that might be fun with some music. Maybe play some games or make a puzzle.

Have you been playing pickle ball lately?

Have a good day.... hugs....

I am doing okay. Today I went to a library and learned to make a hard-cover journal. Then went to Hobby Lobby to find something to put on the cover so it isn't completely plain blue. I used gray-blue for the inside cover. Found a few things at Hobby Lobby. I really have done too much craft shopping lately. Yesterday I went to Walmart and Joann to find things to do with the little girl next door while I babysat her. Unfortunately, I can't really find something that is different and I really don't know what 6-year-olds like. She did want to go downstairs and do something on her mom's sewing machine, that I didn't think we should do. Plus, she decided she wants her previous babysitters back, but they are off in college. I don't know what I have done wrong.

The recreation center was going to stop having the yoga class I have been going to, but the teacher said she would like to keep it going for a while. Glad of that. If she stopped it I would maybe have to try going to the Zumba again (might anyway) because it would be the only thing I could go to on Friday. She will have two other classes Friday mornings, but I think the other yoga will be something I can't do and the 2nd class will be too late for me to go to Bible study.

Nothing else going on here. I still haven't learned any more about the computer, but I did find an online office program (supposed to be Microsoft and free), so I thought I'd try it. Not sure how that works out.

Hi Darlene, how are things going for you? What have you been up to? Are you getting use to your new computer now? I am feeling better, just dealing with my constipation problems but I am finding some solutions to it .Our microwave died on us this week, had to get another one, always something going on.

Have to go for a haircut today, I have thin hair and it is hard to get a nice haircut but it sticks out so it needs to be trimmed.

How are you feeling, Rose? Hope all is going well for you? Hugs to all,,,,

Linda, I am so sorry that you are having those problems and your New Years Day was ruined. I hope that you can get it straightened out. While your's might have turned out a kidney stone, the stomach flu has been going around a lot.

I went to Silver Sneakers Classic this morning and only lasted about the 1st 20 minutes. I was doing fine until he had us do something while sitting where we circled our upper body a few times each direction. That got the IBS started and it didn't really want to stop for a while. I was finally able to leave and I got gas and then went looking for a couple things. Got Cassie over to get her nails trimmed and IBS hit again, but everything turned out okay.

I just read the article on 7 things to do before you go on a diet (something like that; came out a few days back) and took some notes. I am not sure how to fill out the things on the wellness vision. I know I want to be able to do things that I haven't done the last several years, but still don't know how to fill them out. I can some okay, just not all like the first couple of them.

Darlene, glad to hear that you got a new computer. Hope you are doing better learning how to use it. It can be very taxing to do. Glad to hear how you made some fudge also. sounds like you did alright with your gifts after all. good for you.

Well my New Year's didn't go over that great. I ended up sick. Early New year's morning around 4 am I woke up with severe pain on the left side of my stomach. It felt like I had to go to the bathroom and I tried to move my bowels. I did that the rest of the night. around 7, I started to vomit some. I got my husband up and eventually we called the doctor's office and when he called back he prescribed something so I would be able to go to the bathroom. It was a bottle of some kind of orange drink I had to drink all at once. I ended up vomiting it. I still couldn't go and the pain was still there. I was trying fleet enemas and nothing was working. We called the doctor back again and this time they gave me something for vomiting and something I had to drink every 10 minutes until it was all gone. I did that and it took all day and it started to work somewhat and finally I think it started to empty me out. but then later that evening my husband went out to get himself a sub and when he came back I told him he needed to bring me to the hospital, something was wrong, the pain was back and it was really bad. so we went. At the hospital, the pain continued to increase, I couldn't get comfortable no matter how I sat. Finally they took me in and I saw a doctor. , they did blood work, took a urine sample and gave me pain medication which really helped and a C-can. It turns out they believe that I passed a kidney stone, And I guess the pain on the left side was just constipation problems that I have. They sent me home with meds for pain. I am just starting to eat but now I am getting constipated again. I don't know how to cure that problem and I am not getting any real answers for that.. any suggestions???

Linda, I hope you get your strength back in a hurry.

My cousin got me a new computer. It is a new netbook that has twice the hard disk than the older one. Still need to learn some things with it. Seems every new one has big changes anymore. Like I don't know how to save anything. Had that figured on the older one (it went to some google site), and I know this one goes to cloud, but I don't know how. Might just end up getting some more thumb drives (and figure some way to mark them), then save things to them. Now I can get all my email, though. There is something on here to get to email in a hurry, but I can't figure that out, either.

Got a little fudge made for Christmas and gave it to my friend except for about 3 pieces I ate. I think I did pretty good since I usually eat all the fudge I get hold of right off the bat. Unfortunately, I ate a lot of other sweets over the holidays. Unfortunately, I still am in some cases.

From one of my Christmas presents I did splurge and get a paddle for pickleball. It was on sale and then they had a 10% off coupon for anything that was on sale, so I think I got an okay deal. Also splurged on some Chinese food that I haven't had for a long time. The rest went on bills.

I got stuff for fudge and caramels today. Forgot cream to make the keto maple fudge and cheesecake bars or bites. Have to see if I can get that.

Finally figured out something for everyone. A couple will get used(child and Sonny, though his not too used since I just got it, but have it half read). One couple something I've had around but never used. Several people photos and frames (mostly very plain frames). One couple I found a frame that holds 6 photos that was only $5. His mother is helping with the photos since I don't have the computer.

We had cold wind today. Hope we don't get any tomorrow.
