emoticon 4 miles is fantastic!

I've been dealing with a lot of headaches with neck & shoulder pain lately, however, I've managed to keep up with some exercise each day. In fact, I even went ice skating at Gilbert's new rink this past weekend. I am so hyped about this! Here's a link to my post: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_mes

Wow it's getting cool in the mornings. I walked out this morning and thought, I'm going to have to switch to a shirt with sleeves soon!

I've had a couple rough days with staying on plan. I've not gone overboard and I've pretty much stayed within a level where I've not eaten more than I expended, but I've not monitored it as well as I should have and I've not exercised either. I just couldn't get up the engery to do it. I think my body wanted to rest.

Today it's back to what I need to do. I walked 4 miles this morning. And it'll be easy to eat on plan with the plans today. So I'm back on it. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow...

How's everyone doing?

I'm finally getting everything settled back down. We did the tubing thing again last weekend. My sister and her hubby (in on leave from the military for grandpa's funeral) wanted to go to a waterpark, but they all closed on Friday of last week for the season, so I suggested tubing. We had a blast, and I didn't burn to a crisp this time!

I am getting in workout levels at the pace I was before vacation and I've been back to a more normal eating pattern for the most part for the last week (excepting the weekend!). I can't believe the difference in my fitness level that's happened in just 2 months. I've gone from my first walk being 3.5 miles in 90 minutes to my morning walk this morning being 3 miles in 45 minutes. Right now that's my motivation - the scale is still being stubborn and the inches are great to see, but being able to do something that I couldn't do just 2 months ago is really feeling good.

So how about everyone else? What's making you feel postive about what you are doing for yourself right now?

Yes, my body reacts much the same. I get through the stress fine and then afterwards began to FEEL it. emoticon

emoticon Way to go with fitting in those pants! That;s the kind of thing that is so motivating to keep on towards the goal.

I'm sure the floor will look fantastic when you're done.

I'm dragging myself, I think it's just my body's response to the stress and my change in routine. I am working to get back to normal though. Foodwise - yesterday did it, I'm back on track (it usually takes just a day and then I'm back in my good habits). I did get up and do 38 min of SP videos this morning so I'm getting back into the swing of things exercise wise as well. I'm tired this afternoon, but we'll see how I feel tomorrow.

I'm noticing a huge difference in my clothes, but the scale isn't budging. I wore a pair of pants 2 weeks ago that I hadn't worn in 6 years. They were a bit snug in the waist and hips. I put them on yesterday and they were still a teensy bit snug at the waist, but the hips had MORE than enough room in them...

emoticon Hi CLYNN! You have definitely had a lot going on.

I am dragging this week. I did my Pilates this morning but it was hard getting through it which was really odd since I have mastered this basic tape a long time ago. Guess I am just in a physical slump. And maybe exhausted from cleaning the tile grout yesterday, still have 3/4 of the floor to go. emoticon However, it's going to look great when complete. :)

I'm still not back completely on form from vacation and all the hubub from the last two weeks. Things will be a bit crazy until after the 13th, since my military sister and her military hubby are here until then. After that things will be a LOT more normal.

I'm working on getting back to a more normal routine starting today though. I've got a salad for lunch today. I'll also try to get some good veggies in for dinner tonight. Exercise - I'll probably do a quick SP video sometime tonight.

These September mornings are not the cool ones I remember as a child when it was back-to-school; however, it's definitely an improvement from August.

Think I'll get out back today and use the blower on the patio. Last week's storms have left a layer of dirt and grit on everything.

Not sure what exercise to do today, normally I hike or walk but may just do a video this morning. Check in and let us know how you're doing. Any new ideas you're considering to reach your goals?
