108 yesterday! Guess we were breathing a sigh of relief too soon. I had an impromptu trip up north on the rim so was at least able to escape for the day. There sure is some awesome scenery on the way up and back. When we left there yesterday the high was 84, and when I woke up this morning here the low was 84. emoticon

Going to get the day in gear, then get back on here later. Have a great day!

Yes, instead of the sun shining in at 5, it's barely light at 5:30 -- every bit helps! emoticon

It's been a little cooler in the mornings too, and I've noticed that the sun isn't up as early. We're heading towards fall - it's the home stretch of summer!

The long, hot summer is still here in AZ but overnight lows registered as 80.6 on my back patio. I will sure appreciate seeing that drop below 80 at nighttime.

I started swimming again this week. I just had to force myself down to the pool while it was still morning, even if that meant going alone. The water was much more refreshing than it is in the evenings after the sun has warmed it all day.

No meals at home, that is a busy weekend. Hope the stadium wasn't too hot. Just got back from a walk about an hour ago, I'm getting so tired of sweat, sweat, sweat. :( Guess we just gotta hang in there for another month then we should see some change.

I'm here. I've been really busy the past few days. Didn't stick to the healthiest eating, but did manage to stay under maintenance level on my calorie intake. Considering that Friday night I was at the ballgame (it was a rather dull, and very disappointing game), and that Saturday I was running around finalizing stuff for a babyshower I was cohostessing in Buckeye in the afternoon plus dinner out with some friends, and then time with my family and another dinner out with another couple friends on Sunday, I'm calling that pretty good - I didn't eat a single meal at home from Friday morning on...

I hate the humidity at this point, that's the one that gets me the worst! I hate this time of year for that reason.

New week, new slate! My lemon water is ready to drink, and the watermelon is chilling in the fridge. So I'm off now to get the Pilates done first. After that, it's the Powerwalk video (for indoors) as it's heating up quickly again these past few days. Soon these temps have gotta stuck coming down, right?

Anyone else here this morning?

I've lost the momentum slightly. It's been a tough week...had to have our 13 yr old Golden Retriever put down last night. And today my youngest is 15 yrs old; she doesn't remember life without her. Frankly I don't either, she's been 'one of the kids' for so-o long.

Woke up with a huge headache but am going to forge ahead anyway with a short hike this morning. Fortunately, I'm 2 lbs down from the 5 lb bloat I experienced this week. I was starting to wonder if I had a kidney stone blockage but it feels a bit better now. Just full of good news, huh? :p

How's EVERYONE ELSE doing? Can you notice the slightly cooler temperatures OR is the humidity hiding that factor from you? ;)

Anyone watch the Opening Olympics last night? The fireworks and the show (what I didn't miss from dozing on and off) were awesome!

It is the key. Once there's some momentum, the success seems to just come so easily. Without it it's so much harder.

I think I lost a bit myself since my brother was visiting over the weekend. I didn't quit or anything like that, but I feel less of it in the last few days. I think I've just not quite been getting enough sleep though. Hopefully it'll be better now that he went to my parent's house and isn't keeping me up til 11 every night... :)

"Momentum", that is the key word, isn't it? I confess I've lost mine for a few days...just why it's so important to get here at all costs.

Busy week, one dd started school yesterday and the other tomorrow -- they are all set now. And I'm determined to keep reaching towards my goals even if I do occasionally lose a bit of that momentum.

Spread the Spark!

I know. I was out this morning walking at 6:30 or so and it was so HOT by the time I got done. I mean come on 6:30 is EARLY, it's not supposed to be that hot!

The weight loss is contagious around here... I'm hoping to keep some momentum I've gained on that score in the last week or so. I think I may have found a rhythm that is going to work for me! YAY!

August has arrived, and it seems the temperature's been cranked up. Have you all noticed how quickly it's been getting hot? The lowest temp overnight on my patio thermometer was 86, and that was about 5:30AM. It's reading 111 now and it's nearly 2:30 PM.

The weight losses from other members seems to be rubbing off on me, I was down to 152.6 yesterday. emoticon
