Let me know if you'd like to do a longer walk together. I do short walks around the neighborhood but often head to the Riparian Preserve for longer walks.

Hi Grace, My soreness is gone now so I walked the little ones to school this morning. All together it is about 1 mile round trip. Of course I do walk faster when I am by myself. I put my Mp3 player on Kmle and go for it. Depending on the weather emoticon today I just might even walk to pick them up too. Trust me I have a 16year old that goes to Mountain View High and we live 3 blocks away and still needs a ride. So I know what it is like to have older ones that still need a helping hand. LOL

I usually just walk around my neighborhood. I am going to try and get the kids to go down to Poston Jr. with me in the evenings to walk/jog emoticon the track. We'll see how well that one goes.

Have a great day! emoticon

emoticon Welcome, Martha, so glad you joined the team! Sometimes when I've gotten away from exercise for awhile, I have to start very slowly, maybe as low as 10 min a day. Walking, however, always seems easy to pick right back up again. Hope by now, the soreness has subsided.

Do you have a favorite place you like to walk? I agree, just after the kids go to school is the best time for me to walk. I'm sure mine are older than yours (the youngest are 14 & 17) but they still seem to need a helping hand out the door. I usually walk close to an hour, although in the evenings I stay closer to home and just walk about half an hour at dusk.

Hi Grace, I just joined your team here in the East Valley. I am in Mesa (Lindsay/Brown). I have just decided I really need to start moving more. I started exersising at home the other day. I am waiting for the initial shock of soreness to subside before I start again. Just about there. Since it is the weekend and the kids are home I will have to start again Monday. I don't have time when they are here.

Thanks for this site. Always looking for someone to Walk with in the am when the kids are all gone for school.

It' getting hot out there. I feel the need to plan a little better so I can walk or hike earlier in the morning. Poor little dog got tired out, and I have to carry her a little ways. We are recovered now.

How's everyone else doing?
