Hi --we started a new group to sell your items. Clean out your closets, and sell off your stuff. Make a few bucks or if you are looking for something--post. Started a secure group so only those in the group can see what you are buying/sellling. Listing pets are allowed too (if it's legal--it's ok). Check it out:

We like to head down to Macy's to see the Christmas decorations, I'd like to make reservations for the Walnut room. At least to just have a little dessert and sit by the tree.

I've ramped up my run/walk program. Happy to report I've done 6 miles this week. 3 at a time. Today I'm going again. I feel great! My knees aren't complaining either.

Did you do Black Friday shopping?
Did you survive?

I wasn't planning on going out. I was going to buy a computer. I was going to get it online at Radio Shack and then I couldn't decide...then I was going to go into the store and see if I could get it. Early am, I got a great offer email from Toshiba so I ordered it directly from them. Now to wait til it arrives.

I didn't really go out shopping. I got some scripture rocks this summer and plan on giving everyone one of them. They could be for your desk or garden...whatever. Otherwise they can regift them. I'm on a budget this year. :) Bulk gifts really aren't my thing, but hey, why not? If you saw some of the strange garage sale crap I have gotten from relatives (some I might admit was super glues or missing a piece). Is it really the thought that counts when you get an angel with a missing hand? LOL!

Holidays---it's that special time of year when I get out and about to see people I haven't seen in about a year. :)

If it doesn't snow too much in December, I'd love to go downtown and hang out with my sweetie. He's currently mad at me but I hope he'll get over it. If not, I'm sure there is someone to take his place.

--Happy Holidays (meaning all the holidays in Nov-Dec).

Thanks, ladies! What I'm celebrating most is that after this year's race, I couldn't wait to get back to running - taking the recommended two days off was kind of tough. This time last year, I was convinced I would never run again, so this is a definite improvement emoticon

And MeMeMe - I agree with you. This cooler weather is just divine - I love walking around in it, and I'm sure your bike rides have been lovely!

Congrats Pandadot on your run!

I really am enjoying the cool, crisp weather that Fall brings in Chicago. It actually makes me want to be outside more!

My kids and I have been taking frequent bikes rides in this beautiful weather.

Congrats Pandadot! emoticon

I start a new job tonight. Training at least. Then the real fun begins on Saturday. I'll be indoors - which right now I'm not. This weather is making me crazy! Only 3 more days.

My girls have been sick, so of course I put a hold on my exercise routine. I really need to make sure I'm taking care of me as well as them and exercising is part of that care package!

Stay dry out there!

Hi Hope! Missed chatting with you. Hope all is well-didn't get to run the Hot Chocolate as planned (but have a "goodie bag" to show for it) but still running outside. Hope you enjoy this nice weather for the next day or so!

I'm also enjoying the time roll-back, even though I know that dark winter days are coming. I enjoyed getting that "extra" sleep this morning.

The Hot Chocolate went really well for me this year - I beat my "ideal" goal time by 7 minutes! Last year it was such a disappointing race for me, because I didn't train well and wasn't focusing on my overall health. I basically just showed up last year and tried to wing it, and it didn't really work out well... So I used that as motivation in my training schedule this year, and my training - combined with a *much* improved course and BEAUTIFUL weather - made for a great race! I'm already looking forward to next year!

This week I'm working on staying on course fitness-wise - I've created my own training schedule to stick to, so that I'm still running a few times a week and also doing other activities. I definitely don't want to fall back into my old wintertime lazy habits!

It always seems impossible until it is done.

Hi Team,

I'm loving the sun coming up an hour earlier again. Although I know we'll be back in dark mornings again soon, it is wonderful to have natural light when I get up.

Congratulations for all of those that ran the Hot Chocolate! How did it go? It was a bit chilly, but really good running weather. I had a better race than I was expecting, however I'm mad at my self for not training more. What other activities, fun did everyone have over the weekend?

I really need to concentrate on getting more sleep. I feel tired all the time and I need to get a hold of that. What are you working on this week?
