How did you do on your goals in October? I completely fell off of the wagon. I did not accomplish one of my goals and barely worked on any of them. I really need to step it up in November before I completely give up.

Was anyone more successful than me? I could sure use some motivation.

Nice job IvyPet1981 in setting your goals! What a fun weekend to look forward to in December. I am going to copy your 3rd goal and add it to mine. I have been sitting at my desk all day and not going outside at all. I have been missing all this gorgeous weather and I come home tired after sitting for 11 hours.

Well I just planned a girls weekend trip with a friend the 2nd weekend in December, so I want to kick up my weightloss a little, but not make it completely unrealistic.

1. Lose 6lbs by Halloween
2. Get at least 3 servings of VEGGIES per day(fruits are so easy for me).
3. Take a 10 minute walk during work hours to get away from my desk.
4. Take TWO make up dance classes in addition to my 4 scheduled classes for the month.

Whew...I could keep going for sure!!!

@ Ellifunt - Great job on looking out for your mom in getting her a set of dumb bells and for being proactive on making changes now to prevent osteoporosis! Good luck with the sardines. You are a better person than me.

Aging well - I'm paying more attention to that as well. Especially since my Mom who is 63 was just diagnosed with osteoporosis. She's extremely active - walks every day. I'm going to buy her a set of dumb bells and have her start doing some weight work. My dentist had suggested a bone scan earlier this year because he noticed bone loss in my jaw. Great. I'm going for sure now. Great time to re-evaluate my routine.

1. Walk/jog 3 times per week.
2. DVD - biggest loser boot camp - it incorporates free weights. 2 times per week.
3. Increase my intake of calcium rich foods - broccoli, dark green veggies - attempt to try sardines!
4. Get a bone density test done.

- PANDADOT I completely have the same craving of bread and pasta when the weather cools. As more carbs sneek in I am going to try to increase the veggie content mixed in which mill help keep the nutritional balance.

-BOBBIENORTHERN1 good job on recognizing that our needs change as our bodies age and change.

I spent a good part of my summer outdoors. I need to re-evalute my routine and change things up to accomodate the changing weather.

I've had a little trouble with motivation lately, so setting goals is just what I need!

1) Do my morning yoga every morning, no matter how sleepy I am!
2) Keep my portions under control, and within my daily calorie range - what is it with cooler weather that makes me want to eat nothing but bread and pasta??
3) Stick to my 15k training schedule - this is where I've really been lacking motivation, but I'll be running those miles in one month, so I'd better keep training properly!

I have some goals that have been lingering all summer and I need to be very serious about them. My goals this month are:

1. Find a balance between the long hours at my new job, and keeping my healthy lifestyle in eating and working out.
2. Work out 3 - 4 times a week.
3. Get back to tracking everything I eat
4. Complete my painting project at home and reduce the clutter.
5. Drink 80oz of water a day
6. 4-5 servings of vegetables/fruits a day
