I totally agree that PCOS causes agitation. I was insanely agitated before I started to lose weight, I was never happy and was constantly snapping and/or yelling at my son and my partner at the time. As I started to lose the weight and eat low carb, my agitation slowly started to improve. I still have my moments, but now they are few and far between and everyone is happier for it!

I've been going to accupuncture and eating a no refined carb diet since I was diagnosed with PCOS two months ago. I've been losing steady weight and feeling happier, calmer and a thousand times less 'psyco'. I've been so good. My cravings were almost gone. On Friday I didn't plan well enough and was caught out without the right foods. So I had carbs. I have been eating eating bad bad stuff since, three days now and I'm depresed and angry and like my BFF says, a hot mess, minus the hot. Even though it's been mere days since I fell off the wagon I feel the weight creeping back. It's a horrid experiment to play with my happiness like that but it's been an insightful one. In the past there were times where I almost thought I was going insane. To have a diagnosis feels like a life raft. I know that when it comes to my true happiness a cupcake or a baguette is the WRONG answer. I haven't cried or yelled or felt uncontrollable since I pulled those things out of my diet, until this weekend. How wild is that?

I know that there are alot of herbal rememdies, but I haven't tried any or even remember what they are now. LOL that's the other thing about hormones, they put you in a brain fog.

I have been so agitated/irritable the last few days. It must be my hormones, and this pcos. I've been on the nuvaring for almost a year. I lost 18 lbs, but it's been awhile since I've lost anymore. Ugh! It's just so frustrating. Thank you to this group, and helping!

I think that the shakiness comes from being addicted.
I really believe I am addicted. Last night I couldn't find anything sweet to eat and all I could do is pace and keep looking in the cabinets trying to find something. It was awful!! I really felt like an addict. Then tonight I ended up binging on donuts, candy bars and chips. Now I feel like a bloated pig emoticon I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm having a terrible time gettting the right mind set

yes, I get it bad but it's a lot better the less carbs I eat. if I eat high carb I get so aggitated that I can't sit still, my knee is always bouncing, I snap at my grandkids or hubby, and I can't focus on anything.

There is definitely aggitation with PCOS!! I get that way so bad that I could scream sometimes. It gets better and worse depending on your weight. Which it is that way with all the symptoms. The heavier I get the worse it all gets and the worse it gets the harder it is to lose for me.

YES!! I have agitation. I have read in several places that it is a symptom of PCOS. I have noticed the more weight I lose, the lower my symptoms are. I'm working really hard to get this weight off so that I'll feel better. There are probably drugs to help, but I just don't want to take them.
