Yeah, darn those lows! I guess over the years I've become accustomed to "slow empyting" and now that my guts are back on track I don't know what to expect form my bloodsugar anymore, and I'm hitting too low nearly everyday. I appreciate the less high numbers I'm getting, both less frequent and less severe, but honestly, I can still function when I'm high.
I think its totally rude that we have to decided if we want problems now or later. I know in an ideal world we'd all have good control and we'd find a balance between staying above 80 and not hitting 200. No such luck at my house yet, today was extra horrible and I went from 50 to 400, although I don't do that often anymore, its a bummer that it happens and that both ends have their problems.
Oh well, live and learn right? I'll get used to my body's new responses to food sooner or later, and that will make it easier.

School and work are a whirlwind of never ending busy-ness- night classes, day classes, homework, work work, workout... My eating has taken a dive for the worse, but I'm working on getting that back on track. The good news is that I'm actually making a concerted effort to get some regular exercise and I'm sticking with it pretty well.
My last A1C was 8.1, which isn't stellar but could be worse? My doctor decided I've likely got gastroparesis and put me on some drugs for that which seem to be helping, although its a little early to say if they're actually helping or if I'm benefiting from the placebo effect. I'll get another A1C in November and hopefully it will have gone down some.

update #2 for me is my last A1C was 5.9 how cool is that!! a little problems with lows in the last week but after my basal rate was adjusted I have been fine. apperently weight loss like I always say lowers your insulin requirements but I didn't pay atten and paided for it. between school and work and hubby coming home from Iraq in two weeks till july when he heads to afganastan I have to adjust my rutiune and ensure his unhealthy eating does not rub off on me. I will sneek my healthy stuff in to help him out as long as he does not catch on. lol so my little update is not too bad.

Hi all! For me, I just started my first year as a toddler teacher so my schedule is crazy. I am taking two night classes a week for work and two independent study courses (1 for work, 1 for Spanish). Life is hectic and I've had no time to work out! I've been trying to eat better, which is a plus, but I still need to work on the exercising part.

My last A1C was a 7.5, which is awesome because my last one before that was a 8.5 so I am doing good. The pump is amazing! It's a lot of work, but once you understand it, it's a lot easier to control.

My goal for this winter is too lose 17 lbs by Christmas and to live healthy overall!

A huge weight loss effort over the summer has resulted in pretty much zilch for me. I guess my focus needs to shift away from the scale to the realization that eating right and exercising has other benefits besides weight loss. My thyroid is wonked. It sucks. Not as much as diabetes (which I don't have; I'm in this group for my son).
Speaking of my son. He starts high school tomorrow. He thought he might like to go out for football. As exercise effects his sugars so dramatically, he took off the pump and sucked back gatorade at intervals through the practices. He pretty much ralphed and puked his way through the experience. Maybe next year???

I started coaching my God daugthers soccer team and it is great they are all really good kids. weightloss is going well i am maintianing at about the same # plus or minus a number. now i am just waiting on the CGM transmitter and sensors to arrive so I can get even better control. my last A1C was 5.9 way cool!! point for the home team!!
