Yes! I've even had to be careful about going in the hot tub at the pool! I asked my doctor about it, and he said to not go in the hot tub for longer than 10 minutes b/c of the effect it would have on my blood sugar.

It happens to me! Even if I am just sitting out in the sun and not in the pool exercising or moving, if I get too hot I find a drastic BS drop later! I have to be real careful b/c we have a small pool and I am often out there alone. The hotter I get while exercising the higher the chances of a low for me too.... Like walking on a particularly hot day.... Almost sure to have a low during or after the walk!

Hey everyone :-)

I'm brand new around here. I never get to talk to other diabetics, so this will be fun.

My first question:
Do any of you experience lows directly related to how hot you are?

For example, in the summer, I don't use an AC, so when it gets hot, I'm almost guaranteed to have a low unless I adjust my basal.
Or, sometimes in the winter, it will be so cold that I'll wrap myself up in a cocoon of 10 blankets in bed and I'll go low because I cooked myself in that blanket wrap haha.

Does this happen to anyone else?? I've always wondered...

Keep on keepin' on!
