Wow, this is news to me! I fallen behind on the diabetes tech info while being in nursing school. I am currently using a Cozmo that is out of warranty, but works great! Last year when my warranty expired I got an Animas but I don't like it compared to the Cozmo. When I switch jobs later this summer I was hoping to go back to Deltec to get an upgraded Cozmo but I guess I can't now. I am so disappointed! I guess I better start investigating the other pump manufacturers out there.

I never used the Cozmo, but I am on the Minimed pump and CGM. I've really liked Minimed/Medtronic over the past several years. The customer service is great and I've loved my pumps. I only had 1 die on me and I got a replacment the next day.

That's too bad about the CozMonitor. I used a one touch until I got the Cozmo and now I am switching back to it. I had forgotten just how much blood the One Touch requires compared to the Freestyle. There have been several times where I've had to do a retest because of a small sample size.

I will miss my Jeeves, as I call my Cozmo, but I am actually excited about getting a new Animas Ping. I could never use the Cozmonitor because the insurance doesn't like Freestyle strips. I have been using One Touch for 14 years.

So in case you haven't heard, Smith's Medical (the makers of the Cozmo insulin pump) is going out of business. I've had a Cozmo for about three years now and I love it - much nicer than my old Disetronic and the customer support was awesome. I also really like the Cleo infusion sets that Smith makes.
Unfortunately, I now have to switch pumps (to the Minimed, incidentally), infusion sets and glucose meter. Are there any other Cozmo users out there that are going to miss their pumps? Which pump are you going to?
