I'm so sorry. I think Rosie was very lucky to have you as part of her life. That had to be such a difficult choice to make, even though you knew it was the right one.

Oh Linda, I know she meant the world to you, and you gave her a wonderful life.

Praying for you to be comforted. You did the right thing, my friend.

I am so sorry to hear about your baby. It is a cruel reality that our pets don't last forever, or at least as long as we do. You an I know, that if we allow them, dogs can be better friends to us than any human could ever hope to be. Praise God we are blessed with the ability to give our pets one last gift, a painless, humane euthanasia. I, too had to put my boxer down three years ago. I chose to let her go a little early since she had massive cancerous tumors and was starting to lost weight rapidly. I also chose to let her rest in my arms, rather than stay another day or so in pain. It was especially difficult as I had lost my cat tragically just a month prior and was 8 1/2 months pregnant given a 10% chance of stillbirth. I was an emotional mess, but I can now look back on it and be so glad for the time I had with her, I still tear up though. May God bless you with peace the ability to consider opening your heart to another friend in need. I have euthanized over 1000 animals because there were no homes. If only they had ones as wonderful as yours. God Bless

I had to put my dear friend & companion of 14 1/2 yrs
to sleep on Sat. Rosie was a good dog,but mostly she was my friend. It was very peaceful & it was time-the
vet said that at this point if I'd let let her continue
& go on to die naturally-it would've been a very painful death. She went to sleep with me petting her...
I know it was the right thing to do,but it is still so
very hard.- I guess I just wanted to write some sort of
tribute to her.-Linda
