It would be a good idea to start of eating low fat and gradually go back to normal. Otherwise you may experience some nausea and dumping syndrome (cramps with diarrhea) You might be pleasantly surprised in a few days when the water weight drops off. Take good care of yourself. Hope you feel good as new soon. emoticon

Well I am three days out and I am doing much better, I even put on a little make up and dried my hair and straightened it. Hahaha my tummy is going done and not as descended and bloated, things are finally moving a little and that is good thing.
So I just want to thank you all for your support through all of this, I know that it will still be slow going for a while and I just need to remember to be gentle with myself.

Thank you for responding and I am drinking as much water as I can to the point where I am not eating much. I know it will be slow going and I am good with that. Thanks again you are all so kind.

Don't stop drinking your water! Your system will flush it out on its own. Take care!

Blessed be.

Hi Jenny! Glad you are doing better and the surgery was successful. I had my gallbladder out a few yrs. ago as a one day or same day surgery and had the same problem. It's not a problem! You will eventually drop the weight and lose the fluids. When they do the surgery, they do give lots of IV fluids to keep you hydrated.Just gradually increase your activities as you feel and keep drinking to keep the system flushed out. It WILL turn around. Good luck to you!

Your body will take care of the fluid. Keep drinking water...

I didn't have any diet restrictions after my gall bladder removal. However, watch your calories! My hospital had delicious food and that is what I had to watch!

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of May 2019. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2019 to be back to below 155.

Hello to you all,
I know it has been awhile since I have posted but I am needing a little advice. I had emergency gallbladder surgery on Monday and I am of course recuperating for the next two weeks, but I can tell you I already feel like I have taken several steps back, I got on the scale and to my shock I had put on 10 pounds of fluid weight because they put 10 liters of fluid on me from Saturday night, thinking I had pancreatitis.
So any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciate it. Thanks and I hope you all have a great week.
